We had a toilet blow out on a Sunday, of course, and our usual service provider couldn't help us. So I Googled and came up with Hutchins, which I'd seen around but never used before. We spoke to someone, explained the issue, and got an arrival window. The guy showed up right at the start of his window and got the issue resolved quickly. He was professional, pleasant, and did a great job.

The charge we paid was more than reasonable, no extra fee for weekend work (it was less than we'd paid a different provider during the week, so there you go). We will definitely be calling them again if we have any more plumbing issues.

Hutchins installed new central heat and air for me in a rental property we have in Sherman. We received multiple bids. Not only were they competitively priced but they also clearly explained why they made recommendations. They were highly responsive and kept me updated throughout the project.

We were having issues with our hot water heater and they came the same day we called in. Jason and Timothy were very professional and personable. They explained everything and were able to get it fixed quickly at a much better price than expected. All around great service!

I've been looking for a plumber for a couple of years and called Hutchins for a leaking faucet. Gann and Timothy came out and did an amazing job. They gave me the information of what they would have to do upfront so there were no surprises, showed me the issue that needed to be replaced, and left it looking brand new. They're easily the two most professional, personable, and cordial repair men I've had at my house. They've definitely earned my future business.

Wow customer service! They show up when they say they will. I called for a sewer line issue. Due to a strange layout of the sewers in my area it has been a challenge. 45 degree angles and combined areas at the street, and to add to it nothing is where you would expect. They came out on a Saturday and finished up Monday. Price was great! About $400 to get a very stubborn main line clog gone.

I have used them for my AC maintenance for about 5 years, now I can trust them with plumbing too! Very respectful and professional techs. James and Ryan kept their cool even when it was really messed up. When are sewer line blockages no big deal? When you call Hutchins the mess is gone!

Called Hutchins to look into outdoor faucet that had very low water pressure after the freeze. Technician came and replaced a part and charged $175. I reconnected the hose timer that I have used for several years, now that it's Spring. Few days later, it was leaking at the part the technician installed. The technician came back and said that I cannot use hose timers and that the faucet needs to be kept shut all the time and refused to fix it.

The same faucet worked fine with the timer for two years until the tech changed the part. So much for the sprinkler timer industry that relies on attaching the timers to the faucet! Now I am out the cost and without a functioning faucet.

Larry & Keith were out on 8/28/20. They were very professional and precisely on time. They're knowledge and swiftness in repairing my AC was impressive and very much appreciated. I hardly had time to get hot before they arrived. Keith has serviced my AC in the past and I would recommend Hutchins to anyone that needs help in any areas which they service. I will be a lifelong customer. Great work guys! Stay safe & cool.

***PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!*** They set my new house on fire. TWICE.with my baby 6 feet from the unit! We had just bought our FIRST house and found out that there was NO heater.like NONE! So our Home Warranty sent over Hutchins. ALL they had to do was run a new electrical line, about 10 feet I'd say, and install and brand new heat kit. THAT'S IT! 2 fires later the OWNER of the company is refusing service AFTER taking almost $1,400 from us (Home Warranty didn't cover it, of course)!

I am completely appalled at the lack of acknowledgement and COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE to what they did to me and my family.my BABY.and quality of service received, what service?!? The fires even disabled my brand a/c unit (because they are all in the same outdoor "unit") and we had to hire a knowledgable service tech come all the way from Dallas to help us! Wow!

The way that Hutchins workers constantly spoke down to me as if I am a dumb woman is absolutely uncalled for! I rebuild cars people. I AM NOT AN IDIOT! We have had to call MULTIPLE companies to try and help fix the horrible mess. ALL OF WHICH STATED THAT THEY HAVE THIS ISSUE ALL THE TIME WITH HUTCHINS' PAST CUSTOMERS! (Just read the reviews on here!) UPDATE: WE THOUGHT we Finally found another company to fix/ replace the unit; however, 3 companies later and NO ONE will even touch the unit unless it is to COMPLETELY REPLACE AND REDO WHAT WAS JUST DONE BY HUTCHINS AND 100% PAID FOR IN 2018 AS A BRAND NEW INSTALLATION.THE WIRING ALSO HAS TO BE RERAN AS TO NOT START A 3RD FIRE!

We now have to take them to court (literally filed today) as the OWNER is acting belligerent to the situation and completely disregarded my families safety! It makes me want to cry. I can't believe they are trying to justify almost killing me and my family. ***PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!***

Hutchins replaced my faucet on my bathtub in October. The faucet was leaking, and the company sent a plumber out to check it out. The owner was very helpful, and very honest in getting my issue fixed. Definitely recommend.

The emergency call was for the cold water valve on our tankless water heater. It broke after a DYI maintenance flash which required the water shut off to the whole entire house on Saturday. They arrived Sunday am, assessed the problem and scheduled a return Monday am. Arrived Monday am at the committed time (this is important) and had us back up and running within an hour. Fantastic service with many thanks to Gann.

Horrible customer service! The lady on the phone is rude, the first man who came out half-a**ed snaking the drain. We called and received more rude service and were told a manager would come out. He didn't call or show up for our appointment. Rude customer service girl said he would "try" to come the next day. While "manager" was at the house he received multiple phone calls, kept coming in and out, then left.

No resolution. Got a quote to break ground for $2200 for a supposed broken pipe. We called Rotorooter and they fixed the clog within 30 minutes for half the price we paid Hutchins. Liars, scammers, thieves. Don't waste your time or money with these guys!

Very pricy. Definitely feel like I was overcharged. They tracked in mud and dirt and left dirty hand prints on the ceiling. Would NOT recommend. Look elsewhere for help.

I moved here not that long ago. I called Hutchins for a leaking sink. They came out, spent 10 minutes in the house, 45 minutes outside smoking in their truck; 10 more minute in the house for $125.00 - did not find the leak. Said they had to go get their camera for another $250.00. They stated the leak was at a junction / joint UNDER the cement (did not give a straight answer as to where).

I asked about fixing it. They wanted $2,400.00 to fix the leak at the wall but under the cement. They were going to break out the tile.hmm. I ask why not go through the back wall (in the master bedroom). It has a tape and texture wall with a floating floor (no need to damage the tile). I was ignored. I said I removed the insulation in the garage and I can see into the wall; that leak would not explain the amount of water around the bath tub. Also, why not go through the garage to fix the pipe?

I got ignored. Then he said the pipe should be replaced for $8,000 to $13,000.00. hmmm. I called in someone else. Herndon and McFarland out of Dallas fixed the toilet Hutchins people broke. Found their camera could NOT fit (think about that, 250.00 for the USE of Hutchins camera). Found the leak above the cement at the sink just by moving the pipe.

They also found 2 other leaks (at the tub, that was surrounded by water, and master sink connecting pipe - under the cement and not near the other leak). The original leak at the sink $760.00 to fix. The other pipe $4,800.00 to fix and they are coming out of Dallas. I also priced the camera. $250.00 to use it WOW.

We purchased a new Bosh Dishwasher on line from Sears. They were supposed to deliver, install and take away the old dishwasher. Long story short they just delivered the dishwasher. Said they had no one to install in our area. Unfortunately we called Hutchins and they said they could install the next day. I asked for an estimate and was told the service call was $69.00 and their installer would give me an estimate when they arrived with DW.

They arrived and looked where the current DW was in the kitchen and went back outside. The guys returned and Josh said their everyday fee to install the DW was $389 which included Service call. I was shocked that he didn't even look at the old one and came up with that amount. If I didn't have them install we had to pay $69.00 service call.

This is the biggest rip off by a company that I have ever experienced, I'm retired and 72 years old. They installed it in one hour! Josh said I would need to get a carpenter to finish the job because the new DW had different attachment to the cabinets. When you open the door and pull the top rack the DFW tilts forward and door touches the floor! I 'm guessing a carpenter will be over $200. Retired people beware when calling Hutchins!

Not a good experience. Quoted one price to me, charged my husband $200 more. Plumber came unprepared for a job he estimated.and had to use my husband's tools. I had to pay a handy man to fix and finish installed the dryer vent on the outside of my house. He took about 10 hours to do a 3-4 hour job. He was too busy on his phone taking care of personal business. Super disappointed in the work done. Think twice!

We've used these guys many times as we live in an older home that seemed to have hit that point that it needed several things repaired/ replaced in a short period of time. They have always been prompt, courteous and do a thorough job. They take care to not track in dirt/ mud when going in and out of the house and left everything clean upon completion. We've had leaks, a water heater replaced and a repaired section of pipe replaced in the wall.

Multiple different service calls over the past couple of years (new problem each time) and I've never had a problem with their work. Are the prices a little high? I don't think they are any higher than the other companies. We've had similar repairs done by other companies at similar pricing. Plumbing repairs are costly and if you haven't had any done before, it can be a bit of a shell-shock.

But Hutchins is on par with everyone else so it's an industry thing. Unless you have friend/ family member that can do it for you, you can expect to pay $200-$300 for seemingly basic leak repairs, etc. with pretty much any reputable plumbing company. If you find someone drastically cheaper, you should probably question their credentials unless of course it's someone you know. Plumbing is something you want done right!

$711 dollars to replace a leaking outdoor water hose faucet, replace both hot and cold faucets on washer and dryer, and to replace a leaking shut off valve under a bathroom sink. On top of that when the turned off the shut off valve behind the house they broke the valve and did not say anything had to get Hogan plumbing out to fix that. Save your money and call Rick Hogan Plumbing he is honest and very reasonable on prices.

While some may be pleased with Hutchins plumbing in Sherman, I am not one of them. It was two days before Christmas and I needed a gas pressure check done. My usual plumber, Mr. Plumber, was booked. Hutchins came recommended by friends so I called them. They were able to come out. Since it was two days before Christmas, I asked if there were any set fees other than the $69 service fee.

I was told no. When the technician arrived, I was quoted a $650 charge. There is a $100 permit fee. That's standard I wasn't told that. Also, there is a charge for the test, it is understandable that once the test is performed more fees could be incurred if a leak is found. Two days before Christmas. I would have loved to know this over the phone and save that $69.

That would have influenced my decision to wait on Mr. Plumber. I understand that when a company charges a service fee they probably don't feel any obligation to reveal certain truths upfront. I find this dishonest and unprofessional.
