Update: Used their services, again. Called for a slow drain fix. Dakota and Aundra were very professional. The clog was WAY, WAY down the line but they got it cleared. Highly recommend this company. I asked them who they recommended for plumbing. Phone is answered promptly and as if they are happy one called. Got a date for service and a 4 hour window. I was called when plumber, Roy Bass, was on his way. Mr. Bass is personable as well as very professional. He did a great job replacing an outdoor faucet and fixing a leak under a sink. I am so pleased that I called Speake's. Highly recommend. The price for the service was very reasonable.

Mike and Greg came out to check my shower for leaks. They resealed all of the points on the shower and were out in an hour. Appreciate the quick service.

I had noticed a leak under master bathroom sink. It took less than 5 minutes to diagnose the issue. 1 went out for the boot part. I had unlocked the door as soon as i saw them pull up and they sat out there 10 minutes before coming in. After he put out on the part and wiped the floor it took again a tad over 10 minutes to come back inside to hand me the receipt.

I had to rewrite check for the correct amount. Not in the house 30 minutes. After he he walked out continued to stay outside for a bit before driving off. Knowledgeable yes. No AARP/seniors discount either.

Awesome service! They have responded to short notice Emergency calls immediately, and their prices are much more reasonable than anywhere else in town. Been doing business with them for years and always feel like I get an honest deal. The work is always done well. It's nice to have a plumber you can trust.

These are the most can do plumbers I have ever encountered. They have helped us with multiple problems but today they amazed me. It's 2/23/22 and freezing. We have no heat because 2 days ago Atmos detected a gas leak outside the house. They came exactly when promised, fixed it and worked with Atmos to get the gas turned on today.something that I understood to be highly unlikely. Cannot say enough about how grateful I am and.our dogs really liked them.

I have been using Speake's for over 30 years. They may not always be the cheapest but they ALWAYS DO IT RIGHT! Speake's is the only plumber I will recommend to friends and family.

Had them out twice for unrelated work. The first time, they were thorough, efficient, and applied themselves well enough that I had them come back to do some work I was planning on doing myself. All work was done well. Since they applied themselves so well, I was able to afford to have them do the extra work that otherwise I would have had to do myself. Dakota and Andrea came the first time and Dakota and Trevor came the second time.

It was the WORST service from a "professional " I have EVER experienced! They charge by the hour and made sure to drag out every possible moment. He tried to pass off an old part for a new one without telling me. He didn't even fix the problem I was having! I was able to do it after 10 min of reading the manual! I talked to a service man and the manager Both just said we were not a good fit and to not call them again. It was Crystal clear how little respect they have for their clients. I can't explain just how horrible their attitudes were to me and will NEVER use them again!

Always excellent customer service, good work and fair pricing

Since moving to Garland I have used Speak's. They are always professional and thorough. They discuss needed repairs and verify before making changes/repairs. I had them out today to fix a leak in the front shrub line. Not only did they find it and fix it they ran new pipe and made sure to put the new levers in an order to leave outside water available if the inside water needed to be shut off.

They cleaned up all of the mud and made the once lost valve cover accessible again. They also made a small repair to a dripping shower faucet, which was not part of the original call. Quincy and Trevor did a great job. I highly recommend Speak's for any plumbing issues.

I've been a long time customer. Generally their customer service is good. In this particular issue, they did work and charged me for work on a shower that needed a new handle as well as some other items (~$760). We were out of town when the work was completed and came back to the shower head being broken and not working correctly. We called them back out to fix the issue. 4 days later without a working shower, they came back and made the repair - and then gave us a $160+ bill for the issue that was caused by their previous work.

Communication was terrible during the process and we're furious to be charged to come fix another issue without an explanation of what happened and why the shower stopped working after the first time.

Not a review about service, wasn't able to use them for what I needed. However, they're very professional, polite, and a pleasure to work with, Even if it ended out of scope for them. If I need a repair in the future I know who I'll be calling first.

Our master bath tub was leaking, and my neighbors had recommended Speake's so I gave them a call and set up an appointment. A few hours later I received a call bumping my appointment to the same day. Great! Garlan showed up and made us right as rain. Awesome guy btw! He was very attentive on making sure nothing else got dirty or wet. I suggest asking for him. Great service; will use them again if needed in the future.

Have been long time customer. Just had tub faucet repaired. They drastically overcharged for parts. They separately charged $19 and $16 for identical parts that come as a unit at Home Depot for $9.98 for both (plastic knob and control lever). They also charged $40 for a $16 escutcheon (the plate that goes under the faucet knob). When I confronted them on the phone regarding overcharging he became very angry at my accusations and made some lame excuses. I know that up price parts but this is ridiculous.

I was referred to Speake's plumbing from a sheetrock guy. They showed up on time, replaced 5 bathroom faucets with new valves/water lines and a toilet within 4 hours. They were professional, courteous, and, reasonable, fast. I highly recommend them.

I called on a Tuesday morning to have someone fix my toilet and they were able to have someone out Thursday morning. Roy came out, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why I needed certain things fixed/replaced. He also made it a point to clean up the area he worked in. I am extremely pleased with the friendliness, knowledge, quickness and price of the service. Hopefully I wont need their services anytime soon but if I do I will defiantly use them and recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

Plumbing is my go to for all plumbing needs. I called this morning with a clogged toilet and they set an appointment for tomorrow. When they realized that I was a returning customer, they added me on standby today, just in case one of their plumbers ended up with some time to come by. I lucked up and got a call that someone was available. From the time the call came, someone coming and fixing the problem, settling the bill and departure. ONE HOUR!

Amazing people and amazing work! I 100% recommend this plumbing company. I initially did my research for a reputable plumbing company and these guys kept popping up everywhere I looked. They arrived on time for each appointment, in which my plumbing issue required a couple of days to complete due to the rain and the digging they needed to perform.

The employees were friendly, professional, courteous and kept me informed of everything they were doing. In the end, they fixed my issue, which was a rotted out drain sewer feed pipe underneath the house. Couldn't be happier.

The guys gave me an estimate over the phone and after the water heater was installed the charge price was exactly what was estimated. Other people were going to charge me double the price. I have called on Speake's plumbing several times in the past for our aging house. This time I needed some help to replace all my old rotten faucets and a few other issues and they sent a fantastic plumber out named Kasey. He was the most contentious and professional plumber I have ever called on. He repaired everything and more while he was there.

I decided to upgrade my 25 year old toilet in the guest bathroom, and Rusty arranged an appointment within the week. He gave me a time frame of 8-10 am. The day prior I received a call to confirm the appointment, and on the scheduled date, Rusty called to advise that the plumber would arrive at 8 am. I went to purchase the toilet that morning, and met Daniel at home, who was very courteous and knowledgeable.

He had to change the flange to the toilet due to age, then he upgraded the handle and water line. He was very thorough, explained what and why he was doing it, and did a great job of cleaning up after himself. This is my second great experience with Speake's, and I'm very grateful to my neighbor who referred me to them.

I had a plumber scheduled that cancelled out on me even though I scheduled a week ago. I called this company and they were here within an hour. It turned out to be a difficult job and the two plumbers were excellent. They completed the task and cleaned up and very professional. Would highly recommend!

Professional, Efficient and Reasonable! I was really impressed by the professionalism of Mike and Dakota. They fixed our broken pipe on short notice and in under and hour. We have a pier and beam home and they had to crawl under our home to make the repairs. They were in and out and you cannot even tell they were there. I am so happy with the work that they did for us. We will definitely call them back in the future.

Called the day before and was able to get the first appointment of the next day which worked best with our schedule. We were called at 7am to make sure we were still available for the 8am appointment. Technician showed up on time, was professional and courteous. We have had our garbage disposal replaced before and it was $100 more. Will definitely use this company again.

I appreciate the quick response and go Update May 2019: Called them for a leaking faucet and changing the shower head. Technician was on time, quick, and we were charged a very reasonable amount. He also gave us some advice on our kitchen sink faucet. They are officially my go-to. The first visit was not a fluke!

They do a good job but get the cost in writing before they start the job or you could wind up paying more than what you're quoted over the phone. 4 stars for a job well done and 4 stars for Rusty resolving a billing issue with the bbb with creative writing and a refund. This has been the worst experience I have had with any service company. They made unnecessary repairs to 2 warehouse heaters that we do not use without any approval. The bill came almost to $1000. Be very careful!

My home warranty company originally sent out an awful company to replace my hot water heater. Speake's was recommended to me by my mother-in-law who has used them for years and I am glad I listened. I paid out of my pocket 3 times what my warranty wanted to pay but it was worth every penny. Got the brand water heater I wanted and they got it from the warehouse in 1 day which shocked me since we have a less common style tank.

Communication was great, always called me back promptly and kept me informed. Roy and Quincy came out to do the install and were awesome. Super friendly guys, honest and knowledgeable. I caught myself wanting to hang out in the garage talking to them and watching them do the work cause they were so good. Super clean install, made it look better than the original install by running the t&p line better than original. I had to leave before they finished but came home to hot water and my garage cleaner than when they started. I will always use Speake's for any future plumbing needs.

Unbelievable! $95.00 Labor charge to tell us what we already knew. We called them to have a valve replaced. Seriously, THE ONLY THING HE DIS WAS TURN A VALVE UNDER OUR SINK. Could not fix because he couldn't get the water turned off outside, had to call the city. Still charged us a service fee of $35 and a labor charge of $95! For turning a valve, that we already knew was faulty! Husband asked if there would be another charge for them to come back out, after city able to turn off water? Answer, "YES"! How do they sleep at night?

I was delighted this morning to hear a strong rainstorm with water pouring on my kitchen window. BUT it was not rain. It was a busted water spigot. Yelp is not just for food reviews. I immediately found Speake's Plumbing and read the outstanding reviews, so I called Speake's. This could have been a very complex and expensive repair that would have involved immense damage to my siding.

But plumbing genius Garlan made a replacement with a special kit he had in his truck. The whole issue was resolved in less than 20 minutes after his arrival and it only cost $189. God answered my prayers with Speake's plumbing. In addition to the comfort and trust Speake's provided, Garlan was personable, professional and knew his trade. $189 is a bargain what could have been catastrophic flooding and damage. I would recommend Speake's over any plumbing company in the Metroplex.
