Specialized Pipe Technologies was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process from first call to final review! We found Mike O'Brien to be not only knowledgeable and professional but quick to respond to our many questions. The techs working our job, Cody and Riley, were always on time, friendly and respectful. If you're in the unfortunate position of needing to have your cast iron pipes replaced, call SPT first as they saved us thousands of dollars (and oodles of time) by lining our pipes with minimal disruption to our home and our lives. I was in charge of finding the appropriate team to work on a huge plumbing project for a house my boyfriend owns. He had old cast iron pipes that literally had holes in them causing all kinds of problems. I spent an entire two weeks calling plumbers and meeting them out for estimates. We received a range of prices and a range of how much devastation we can expect - inside and outside the home - due to how bad the pipes were.

Only two companies were claiming that they could do the lining of the pipes from the outside. Most plumbers were stating that they would need to tear up the entire floor to access and replace the pipes throughout. This would have meant lots of dust, pouring of new concrete, new floors and bathrooms needing to be installed, and the cost of a hotel stay for up to 2-3 weeks. Anyway, we decided to go with Specialized Pipe Technologies (SPT).

The other pipe lining company quoted us a price twice as much and they were very high pressure. I, personally, did not care for the other companies reviews. Customers stated that they promised zero destruction to the inside of their home and many endured just that. Chris, from SPT, was completely honest with us every step of the way. The SPT team did their due diligence, they informed us of all the potentials, and they ended up doing exactly what they stated.

No surprises. To boot, we found them very fair with their pricing. No hidden charges. Between Chris and Heather, who scheduled for us, we had everything done with very little down time. For several years I have lived with plumbing and piping problems in my home. I had cast iron pipes throughout that were falling apart and causing me tremendous problems. When I first started calling plumbers, it felt like I was never going to get this issue resolved and under control. I was going to have to either have my entire floor ripped up to replace all the pipes underground or pay well over $30,000 according to one company I had an estimate from who provided the same type of pipe lining technology (supposedly). Finally, I plumber recommended Specialized Pipe Technologies (SPT). Chris P. came out from the company.

I found Chris to be extremely professional, yet, transparent which I greatly appreciated. He made me aware of the worst and best case scenarios which helped me make the best informed decision I could. I decided to hire them for the job. They worked with me through the entire process and, in the end, the cost was literally half compared to the other company who claims to do the same thing.

I only had one area of my floor that had to be broken up and fixed (which I was warned about). The rest was lined from the outside. Do yourself a favor and look at what their technology entails. It's pretty amazing. What I thought was going to be a nightmare turned out to be okay. I must also give a shout out to their custom service. Everyone was super responsive. Thanks SPT!

We are extremely happy with SPT service! Our home had become unusable because of a sewer issue, .and we needed help quickly. We were very lucky to find SPT. The manager, Chris Perez, sent his men out immediately to help us. Repairs were made in a quick courteous manner. Our sewer pipe issues were resolved with very minimal disruption to our backyard landscaping as well! We definitely recommend Specialized Pipe Technologies. They will not disappoint their customers, and take the time and effort to do excellent work!

Our home was built in 1968 and we've had slow moving drains and backups in our sewer lines for several years. We've had several plumbers come out to scope and snake our lines and were told that we would need to replace all of our pipes which meant all of our floors would be opened up (jack hammered), total disruption of our lives for several months (during a pandemic) and at a cost of $20-$25k just for the plumbing not to mention replacing tile, hardwood, cabinets, tub and shower etc. Specialized Pipe Technologies scoped and cleaned our cast iron pipes.

They reviewed the video and determined that it would be best to install a liner which we agreed to do. It took a couple of days for the liner to be installed. They did run into an issue with a 90 degree turn under our kitchen that they couldn't get the liner installed. We were warned that this could happen. They sent a concrete company (who were awesome) in the following business day to open up a 30" x 30" section of our floor. SPT immediately replaced that section of pipe, the concrete company came back and poured new concrete (all same day). SPT sent a tile installer back a few days later to replace that section of tile.

The entire process took several days with very minor disruption to our lives and at a quarter of the cost of replacing all of our plumbing. We highly recommend Specialized Pipe Technologies

I recently utilized the services of SPT. Our pipes were not draining and after countless attempts to fix the problem, I finally engaged SPT. They used cameras to determine what the problem was and offered their solution. I got three quotes and options from other plumbing contractors, but SPT offered the best option which was to put a liner in our pipes rather than have us rip up the pipes (which were under concrete floors in two different rooms) and then replace them and the floor.

This was roughly a three day process which was delayed a little bit due to some very cold weather for Florida which slowed down the curing process of the liner. I was kept informed every step of the way as to the progression and what would take place next. The workers arrived on time and their communication skills were excellent which is rare for contractors.

The job was done in the timeframe that was originally stated and I could not be happier with the results. They cleaned up after every visit and left the area better than they found it. I highly recommend SPT for any plumbing needs. They are extremely professional and do high quality work. There's no need to accept poor communication and contractors who don't show up. Go to SPT and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Beware! This company has flooded my condominium while working on the pipes in my building. As a result, my vinyl floors came apart. They have sent someone to replace my floors. Shortly after the floors were replaced they started to come apart! I've contacted SPT and the worker they've sent numerous times. SPT hasn't remedied their wrong, and the worker they've sent denied any wrong doing. I had my floors inspected by a licensed State of Florida inspector and the report clearly states that the floors were incorrectly placed.

I am the President of a Condominium in Englewood, FL and discovered SPT when I attended a CAI event in Bradenton, FL. Our Condominium Association (age about 37 years) was experiencing sewer backups and SPT was extremely helpful in educating me as to the various processes involved in redoing the cast iron sanitary sewer system. They were very patient with my simple and more complex questions, allowing me to fully understand all the issues involved with aging cast iron and the various methods that may be used to replace/reline the pipes.

I spent several months investigating all avenues involved with dealing with aging cast iron, and I feel that SPT was the most knowledgeable company in helping me make the decision that was best suited for our Association. We accepted their bid and have been extremely satisfied with their professional attention to detail in relining, their knowledge of how to deal with unforeseen problems that have arisen, and their politeness and neatness in dealing with our residents.

Our experience with SPT was stellar from start to finish. During the bid they showed us a demo of the pipe-lining technology they use, and the price was reasonable, especially compared with the alternative of jackhammering the slab throughout the house. Ours was a 3-day job and all workers showed up on time and well-briefed on the work to be done, and (very important to us) cleaned up after themselves every day.

It all went exactly as described from the beginning and we now have new pipes without having to tear up our floors! We did this preventively, as our pipes were old but not completely obstructed, and we're so glad we did, because if we had waited too long, there would not have been enough pipe left for this technology to work, so we would have had to jackhammer the slab up throughout the house. Highly recommend both this procedure and this company if you have old cast iron pipes. Well worth it and professionally done!

This company is top notch. They have been around for a long time and you can tell they know what their doing. Great technicians and they did what they said they would do. If you have plumbing problems, I learned not to take someones word.these guys will actually inspect the issues using video and they give you the video to see for yourself. Proof! So before you tear up your floors or yard, call them. Very pleased.
