I moved to Mammoth Lakes in the fall of 1999 after graduating from The University of New Hampshire. Growing up on the east coast and having a passion for the mountains and skiing, the Eastern Sierra seemed a great place to explore. After living in the Sierra for a full year I realized this would be a great place to settle.
16 years later I have a made a home for myself and value this wonderful community that we live in. Being a third generation plumber, I pride myself in providing the best customer service and workmanship possible.

Services
Mammoth Lakes is a town of flakes. Typical of vacation areas. Good, reliable contractors are worth their weight in gold and Frank at Sweetwater plumbing is on my golden list. We needed laundry supply lines re-routed. Frank came out for the quoting appointment when he said he would (most local plumbers didn't even return my call), his quote seemed very reasonable, and he had a guy (Gabe) out doing the work within 48 hours.

Can't say enough about this plumbing company. This is the second time we have used them. First, they respond quickly which generally does not happen here in Mammoth. It is the reason we used them the first time as other plumbers did not respond for days or at all. Next, they think outside the box. Today we needed our old but fairly new faucet reinstalled after getting quartz countertops.
The faucet handle did not quite turn to cold because the new bar countertop is slightly wider and impeded it. James suggested we reorient the handle to left for hot, right for cold versus backwards for cold, forwards for hot. Great idea! And we probably should have had it that way to begin with. Also, our condo does not have a shut off for our unit.
It only has one for the building. James determined he could shut of the hot water at the water heated when he replaced a shower hot water valve. This saved the day for our property manager. The property manager didn't have to shovel out the snow to access and climb into the under building crawl space. We would highly recommend this plumbing company.

Frank is the nicest most honest human. He went by my new condo to review work I wanted to get done (new water heaters, new tub/showers, etc.). He spent the time to consider and share his feedback on plumbing options but explained that he's literally too busy to take on the job. Even after I tried begging, he said he couldn't do it. You've got to love that honesty and the fact that he took the time to look at the job and share his experience and feedback. What a great guy. So sad I can't benefit from his services but greatly appreciate his effort and honesty.

I'm really happy with the service they provided! I had a small gas leak in my condo. First I tried the gas company, they were no help, saying they couldn't find a leak. After that, I called Sweetwater and they were able to come out on short notice. They found the leak and took care of the problem quickly. Will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future. Thanks for being awesome!

Frank and his team have helped my family and I half a dozen times over the last two years. We have a family cabin with older plumbing that has had several issues. Frank and his team are very responsive, often calling me back within a couple of hours to work with us and schedule a fix. They do quality work every time. Finding a reliable professional for repairs is difficult in a mountain town where construction work usually takes priority. Sweetwater is my go-to for plumbing! Recommended highly.

We will 100% use Sweetwater Plumbing for all our plumbing needs in Mammoth Lakes. The entire crew there was awesome to work with during our bathroom remodel. They demolished and removed our old cast iron tub, updated our shower valve, and installed our new tub and plumbing on our new vanity. The work was top notch and we could not ask for better. Very happy with the result!

Sweetwater Plumbing came through again. It's not easy to get anyone from Mammoth to come to June Lake on a moments notice. Frank, for the second time in a couple years has come through and fixed my problem quickly and professionally. Ryan diagnosed multiple causes contributing to my water heater failure, and immediately started repairing my problems. Ryan and James had a new WH delivered and installed next day and fixed my roof vent issue, as well as connecting me with another contractor that will be able to vent my dryer under the cabin according to code, and so this won't happen again.
My highest recommendation goes out to "Sweetwater Plumbing". Thank you again Frank, Ryan, and James. (**Especially Ryan, an outstanding employee, and a testament to your company **)

I removed a sink from our master bedroom, and there were three pipes through the floor that needed to be removed. I left messages with three local plumbers I found through Yelp, and Sweetwater called back in less than 24 hours (the other plumber called back in 3 days, the third not at all). Our condo shares water with the entire complex, so Sweetwater coordinated with the local management to shut the water off to the entire complex and perform the job.
The job was handled professionally and for a very reasonable fee. He capped the plumbing under the subfloor and checked for leaks after repressurization. I am very happy with the work that was performed and the total cost was very competitive

We had the Frozen Pipes syndrome during a very cold week and though our pipes have never been a problem previously, it was definitely an eye opener to not have your water running when you wake up! I called and they were very nice on the phone but mentioned that they had lots of calls that morning, though they would come by and make sure they couldn't fix it quickly in about an hour or two.
Sure enough, they arrived when they said and they stayed longer than they said they would to be sure we had our water running again. I highly recommend these guys as they were polite and courteous and go the job done before it was promised. In a town of flaky folk, these guys shine and shine brightly.

We arrived to our Mammoth vacation home to the unpleasant surprise of flooding when we turned on the water due a frozen/burst pipe. I wanted to write a review because they deserve their great rating. They were courteous on the phone. Didn't over-promise what they could do on a Friday afternoon. They arrived when they said they would. The workers were friendly and respectful. Etc. I wish that kind of service was normal, but it is not. I was very impressed and grateful. Thank you!

So happy to have found a go-to plumber, especially when er often have to make requests remotely. We received notice that our kitchen faucet broke in half. I left a message after 5:00 PM, received a call back in the morning, was texted options for replacement faucets, and appointment was completed by that afternoon. Frank was responsive, transparent, and good quality work. Thank you.

We had a shower leaking down to the first floor in a condo we recently purchased. The home warranty company authorized another company for the work, but we could not get a call back from them. We then called Sweetwater Plumbing's number and Frank arranged for Danny and James to come right out although they were very busy. They quickly found the issue which turned out to be bigger than we had hoped, but they took the time to fix it right and follow up over the next two days, including Frank himself, to ensure the fix was successful. Super friendly and professional. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend Sweetwater!

I wanted a hot and cold water faucet in my garage and called Sweetwater. One of the reps came out, described how he could the job and quoted me the price. The next day they came out and had new lines run under the house and the faucet installed - CLEAN JOB! Very responsive and very professional. I would highly recommend them.

We were get the runaround with another plumbing company in Mammoth (don't go to Dean's Plumbing) when we decided to go to another company. Frank is a bit hard to get ahold of so we played phone tag for a few days. Once we connected he replaced our water heater in one day. Great service from a great company.

Needed an old toilet replaced. Frank said he would try to get there in the next 4 days. Two days later, ahead of schedule, he sent out a crew. They purchased a new toilet, brought it and took the old one away. They were courteous, efficient, and even cleaned the floor after they were done. I will definitely be calling on them again.

Let me add my voice to the choir of folks singing the praises of Sweetwater. I called a couple of days after Christmas and received a return call from Frank even though he was on holiday on the east coast. Furthermore, although he couldn't get a crew to my location for 28 hours, he spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with me trying to help me diagnose the problem remotely.
It doesn't get any better than that kind of service (I don't even call it customer service because it was the first time I have ever called him and he had no way of knowing if he was going to get any work out of it.). NOW however I am certain that the ONLY plumbing service I will use in the area is Sweetwater.

When one decides to go it alone when building a home, and subcontracts with members of the trades required to build his home, one runs into individuals of varying work ethic, quality of craftsmanship, and attitude. especially in a resort town. Some are dedicated, capable and expert craftsmen, while others have adopted the ski bum lifestyle. Frank at Sweetwater Plumbing is definitely a member of the former category.
His attention to detail was astounding. Our home required a few rather complicated runs and installations (including an in-floor radiant heat system), but Frank laid out our boiler room with precision and logic that made what would otherwise look like a maze of copper pipe easy to follow and understand. Additionally, during all phases of the project - from bidding to installation and inspections and beyond - he was extremely easy to work with and reach.
Should a problem arise, it was addressed quickly and competently. And the best part being that no arm twisting was required. The job was done. And it was done well. And without trying to nickle-and-dime things after the contract was signed. We were simply blown away by the quality of work we witnessed. Sweetwater Plumbing provides great service at a great value - the best the Eastern Sierra has to offer.
