After serving in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict, in 1974, Richard Collins began his career in the mechanical/plumbing construction trades. In 1979, Richard founded Collins Plumbing Inc. (CPI) where he was determined to build a company whose reputation for consistency, quality work, and fair and equitable pricing would the standard by which others were judged. In 2007 CPI adopted an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), allowing employees who have dedicated their working careers to CPI, to participate in ownership of the company.
