Called this company to come out and 'fix' my ac. Last year they refilled Freon and had a compressor replaced. This year we wanted to have an estimate to replace, but they 'fixed' it instead. Two days later everything stopped working. They wanted to charge emergency fees just to come out after paying almost $600 for these bogus repairs. We asked for a general manager to call back and have been dodged ever since.
They have lower level employees and managers trying to charge us for more work. After charging that much now a replacement is recommended. Avoid this place. The last two repairs occurred by an employee let go due to negligence. Nothing was even considered to be made right. We used to feel this place was different but now they are like any other business looking to fill their pockets and leave you in debt.

Nice folks but beware of the crazy cost! $304 for less than an hour of work in our house and a new wax ring. I called to repair a leaking toilet and evaluate the water heater they installed a year earlier. Technician fixed the toilet quickly. Not so knowledgeable on water heater. I had to find the manual to help him determine the error code. Technician left 'hoping' cleaning the filter corrected problem. Shocker and ALERT came when he presented the bill for $304!
You will get billed based on the driver's GPS - when the technician leaves the previous worksite and when they leave yours. You get billed for their time in the truck keying in the information in their computer program and doing whatever else they are do out there. As you can imagine keying in info an ipad is probably not their forte but you do pay for it. Our technician was in the truck for ~20 minutes so you may want to have your teenager help type. It may save you $50. Also don't chat, again it will cost you!

After moving into our 6 year old Hummelstown townhouse, I noticed that the former owners had not done any preventive maintenance on either the HVAC system or water heater which both had Central Penn's stickers on them. Last January 2020, I called CP out to inspect the HVAC system and the tech found an issue which needed to be resolved. We had a coupon which helped with the charges as my wife & I are retired.
I also had the tech balance the volume of air coming out of each vent as one room was getting too much air and the other not enough. For this job, I give them high praise. A couple of weeks ago I had CP come out again to drain the water heater of any sediment that may have been in the tank after 6 years. Fortunately, there was none but there again, preventative maintenance is the key to keeping devices working as they should.
The techs found an issue with the pressure relief valve as water was coming out of the overflow tube. They replaced the valve and I thought everything was good. A couple of nights ago, I found water seeping from the tube. I called CP again and they sent a tech named Tony out. He knew right away why we had a leakage problem. The expansion tank on top of the water heater was defective.
He replaced the old smaller tank with a larger one and now we're good to go. Because the expansion tank should've been examined on the first trip out when the heater was drained, Central Penn took care of us on the new bill. Kudo's to CP for their service, prompt response and professionalism from the office staff to the techs. Great job!

So I normally get my furnace serviced every 6 months Ive been in the house (brand new) for 3 years. Today they came to service and now my heating isnt working Ive got it set for 73 and nothing is happening. One summer my air stopped working because a mechanic failed to switch back on the condensation extractor so my air didnt work. Today it is something else. Seems this is too regular for 10 visits.

I had non emergency service to replace exterior water spigots, and I felt the workmanship was substandard and overpriced. The guy they sent struggled with soldering copper joints. After finally soldering them and leaving, 20 minutes later, one of the joints failed. Had to call him back to redo it. Additionally, he didn't even anchor the new spigots to the band board and left them flopping loose. $400+ bill which I thought was a little steep for the level of expertise they sent. I had no trust in the work I had someone else come and replace. Will not be using them ever again.

Grossly over priced for emergency service plumbing issue, $255 per hour plus $97.50 for dispatch, the parts cost less then $20. Another company would have charge half that fee. I requested itemized statement and still no response. Another Local co would have charged me $400 because I did some research for future reference.

My unit stopped working unexpectedly during a hot spell. The person on call called me within an hour and we agreed it wasn't an emergency that needed to be taken care of at 10 and that they could come out the next morning. The next morning came and no one called. I waited 4 hours into their working time when I had to call. The lady then tried to put me after everyone who had called that morning even though I called the night before.
When the technician came he was great and fixed the system. We agreed I would like a quote on a new system. It is even written on my invoice they owe me pricing. He took pictures and said someone would follow up. It has been at least a month and not one follow up.
