When he first opened the doors to A&L Plumbing and Heating back in the fall of 1975, Lewis Ehrlich decided the key passed down to him by a hardworking and reputable Bronx plumber- his father Ben- would be the same one used to unlock his second-generation plumbing and heating business. Now, almost 30 years- and countless numbers of satisfied A&L customers later- that same philosophy of caring is still the A&L way.

Did a really poor job of diagnosing and fixing the issues with our toilets. The same leak resurfaced after they came out, and we Asked them to come back and resolve. The 3rd time, we called someone else who fixed it on the first try, and was shocked at the workmanship of A&L. Not to mention, they wouldn't even consider refunding our money. Won't do business with again, at all.

Paul came to replace the back flow part of the irrigation system. He came on time and finished the job in 30 min and charged me $550. He told me that the main reason the price is high is because of the part price. After he left I checked the price of the part he installed online and it was $119. So he charged me $400 plus for the installation. He also broke a part of the irrigation pipe and asked me to call my irrigation company to change it.
When I called him and asked for explanation he said they buy the part from local supplier and charge a flat fee for this. Overall, to me as someone who trusted them and even did not quote them before coming, it was one of the worse maintenance experiences I have
