I feel that reviewers tend to be quite spiteful towards service companies that don't perform to their ridiculous standards. Not only was I quite impressed with Spolidoro's commitment to customer satisfaction when I hired them to renovate my kitchen and bath, that I applied for a job with them. I can say quite confidently that Bill Spolidoro goes above and beyond for his customers, doing whatever is necessary to make sure they are satisfied and to give them the best price possible. Very responsive plumbing outfit and wanted this to work out because it's so hard to get a plumber out these days but this outfit didn't prove to be of much help. I had called and left a voicemail since there had been water in the basement after a rainstorm and also a leak. I didn't receive confirmation they could do anything and instead they showed up without any type of heads up.
They took a look in the basement and said our sump pump was working properly so they saw no need to fix that but did offer to fix our leak. A month later another rain storm arrives and our sump pump was certainly not working and the pipe they had initially fixed was leaking again. Turns out we did need a new sump pump and had to hire a different outfit to redo the piping to fix the leak.
We eventually did get a refund for the work they did and I would have liked to refer them after receiving it since I'm sure they had the intention of fixing the problems we had. Unfortunately, they left an extremely petty message in the note of the check which made it clear they were providing us the refund very begrudgingly. Not sure why you'd want to burn bridges with a new homeowner as we'll need plenty of plumbing work in the future.
