Kevin Scott, owner of Kevin Scott Plumbing & Heating, Inc. graduated top of his class in plumbing shop at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. He was born and raised in Wilmington, MA and still resides in the Wilmington area. Kevin was one of the youngest people in the state to receive his journeyman plumber's license.
Twist the dial on the top of the gas valve, which is located toward the bottom of the water heater, from the "On" to the "Off" position. This will turn the gas off at the water heater. Find your breaker box and flip the breaker to the off position for your water heater. Find the cold side water pipe coming into the top of your water heater and follow the water pipe back to the source or the wall - you should see a water shut off dial or lever to turn to the off position.Follow the water line back to the source or the wall.

We have used Kevin Scott several times now and are very pleased with their work. They're always on time, do what they say they're going to, and thoroughly explain what needs to be done. We previously used another well known plumber in the area and were disappointed (bad communication and overpriced), despite all of their 5 star reviews.
