PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! If I could give zero stars, I would. The answering service was overly friendly and a technician came out. We needed a hose bib (tap) replaced in the backyard. All the plumber needed to do was to remove the old one and screw on the new hose bib. The technician made a big show about taking pictures of the existing hose bib and sending it to the manager.
The manager's diagnosis was to cut off the metal portion of the pipe and solder on a new one. He claimed that someone had tried to replace the bib earlier. Charges were going to be a whopping $475! It was too much for us and we sent the technician on his way. The manager called back to explain how honest they were. (LOL) Anyhow, to cut a long story short, another plumber came over the next day.
He was amazing - unscrewed the hose bib with the right tool and replaced it all within 15 minutes. He did not charge us a penny, saying that the job was too easy! PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!

My advice, get a second quote from another company. I wish I had taken my own advice but my tenant had been without hot water for a couple of days and I felt that this was an emergency (more on that later). The work took place on a weekday, during normal working hours, and it was a fairly straight forward job to replace the water heater. In fact, the job was finished four hours after the technician arrived.
So far, so good. The quote for the materials was high, but within reason. Here is where the fun starts. I thought that the quote for labor was an estimate, based on the job taking a full day with more than one technician. So, when the job was completed in four hours by one technician, I thought the labor estimate would be adjusted accordingly. Nope, Allstar charged the full $2000 for a four hour job.
That is a hell of a shop rate. Then to add insult to injury, an additional 30% was added on top of labor and materials, essentially a service charge paid to the company. The city inspection was scheduled for the following week. The technician returned the next morning to do additional work and drop off the permits. The water heater failed inspection because the overflow relief pipe was incorrectly installed, venting to the basement floor rather than outside the house as per code.
I happened to be there when the technician was talking to his supervisor on the phone and he was instructed to install the overflow in this incorrect configuration, so this one was not the tech's fault. So, the discrepancy had to be fixed and another inspection scheduled. Fortunately, we were able to get another inspection the following morning, but the process of two inspections cost me nearly four hours of my time, mostly waiting for the inspector.
It passed the second inspection, but for what I paid I felt that it should have easily passed the first. Also, be careful when going through the process of payment and paperwork at the end of the installation. The technician asked me to make a statement on the Notice of Three-Day Right to Cancel to the effect that this job was not an emergency. I should have given this request more thought but I was still in a state of sticker shock, so I stated that the job was not an emergency.
Of course, this is patently silly, because this was not a planned replacement, but I just wanted to get finished because I had spent my entire day on this problem. The technician said that it was company policy for him to make that request, so that seems to be pretty shady. The tl;dr version is that I felt gouged on labor charges, for an incorrect installation, along with some shady business practices. Next time I will take a bit more care in choosing a plumbing company.

This message was sent to the Diamond certified company as complicate, unhappy Service. With is plumbing company. Re: approved Permit inspection 6/22 with pictures No communication with customer, poor communication. Dishonest. I had the opportunity to finally viewed The approved permit. I see it was approved On 6/22. That was the day my mother's Had here MVA. Rushing to purchase CO2 Monitors.
As mentioned on the intake form Sent too you. That day 6/22. I spoke with Allstar plumbing- Kris ( Supervisor) and Jose( plumber technician). Both different Phone conversations. That the Santa Jose building inspection failed inspections today Due to not having installed carbon monoxide detectors. So, I would have to pay for the SJ Housing inspector to reevaluation the plumbing installations. No, compassion that my mother had motor vehicle accident!
Why would This plumbing company say this? Then, never communicate with me(customer) that the inspection had approved. Allstar plumbing Lack communication, poor workmanship ethics. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend this plumbing company. To anybody. There workmanship and professional work ethnics is dishonest. The inspection was approved by pictures. of the water heater.
The same day 6/22. No, need for my mother to be pushed and pressured that day to purchase CO2 Monitors. How did it pass inspection, if the homeowner (Me). Had NO CO 2 Monitors? Two conversation With Allstar plumbing that day, stating to pay $ 324.00. That was unsettling informations. Lacking compassion, increasing profits$$$$$$. That was extremely senseless, pressure A 85 year senior women to drove to Home Depot to buy carbon monoxide devices. So, it will guarantee that the inspection will be approved and the permit will be closed.
She ( Mother) was worried that that the permit would not pass and that was her major concern even after the accident happened, this is stupid and ridiculous that they passed it without the carbon monoxide monitors and my mom would have died that day trying to buy these devices. Sent you pictures of herCar. She is very traumatized and, emotionally And physically.
She will have a very long recovery. I well never do business with is company again. Not a trustworthy business. Very poor workmanship & communication With the customers. Rude to senior customers, extremely bad customer service. Technician declined to drove to purchase CO2 Monitors. Stated to mother ( customer) Pay for my transportation cost $$$ gasoline! Allstar Plumbing is not a trustworthy Business.
I see the contact information States I have 5 years warranty with them. Hopefully this cosmetically damaged expensive water heater will not break down Or, get Damages during earthquakes Due to the earthquake brackets are Attached to high and mounted to The drywall, not attached to the original Wooden blocks that was mounted to the earthquake metal straps original attachments.
The way it's installed now ( water heater) Not the same diagram / installations of original water heater That had withstand every earthquake possible during the time we own the house. Major earthquake withstand. I would like to thank you for your assistance. Diamond certified company. I not happy with this situation. I will never recommend Allstar Plumbing.
This company has collected a lot of money $2916.00 on 6/10. Incomplete workmanship That day 6/10. Unattached parts and, missing components. Then, schedule on 6/16 - in person inspection With no documents/ permits available. No representative from Allstar Plumbing present. That day it totally failed permit inspection. Who schedule in person inspection with InCompleted installations of a water heater.
No documents, information available to the inspector to review or, write corrections To be made corrected. For there poor workmanship/ service. Unsatisfactory customers with very Damaging experience with Allstar Plumbing. Unguarantee really unsatisfied Poor satisfaction, poor workmanship. Extremely poor customer care Service.

Stay far away from the the company. The person they brought over was very adversarial and rude. He kept screaming about what needed to be done and tried to mislead me. I had to bring to other plumbers to check his work and they told me I was told lies. I am upset about the money I wasted and time. Do yourself a service and stay away from them!

Not a good company to use. They have a few good workers but management does not allow them to do things the correct way if it will cost too much. They were to repipe but wrote it up as a repair, then wanted to charge more money and did not do a complete repipe. The water does not come out correctly upon turning it on. There is brown water that comes out that did not before the repipe. They do not stand behind their work. I would not use this company ever.

Ricky Ricardo is the technician helping me to install my new kitchen sink. He is very attentive and care about my need and willing to accommodate my order and shipping schedule. Once my order was delivered to my house, He set an appointment the very next day. He is the best service guy I had ever hire. Strongly recommend to others who want a full fledged customer service

My water heater was no longer heating during the time when I needed it the most. It was so cold and taking a cold shower was not what I was going to do, after always calling Allstar Plumbing when I have these types of issues they did it once again! Allstar Plumbing answered my phone call, and made it all happen within the day. They always take care of me and try to do it the fastest possible. They came to my house and took care of my water heater the same day I called. They never disappoint me, they are simply the best!

I decided to tackle what I thought to be a minor repair in my rental property. After multiple trips to Home Depot and two wasted weekends, I decided to call a professional. Allstar Plumbing came highly recommended by a family member and I was not disappointed. The tech was prompt, courteous, and had prices that were competitive. He quickly diagnosed my problem, found the source, and made necessary repairs that hadn't even crossed my mind. Allstar has true professionals.

Constantly timely to answer back and offer solutions that won't cost as much when I was tight on cash but need tremendous work. Happy I found them because I feel like I have someone I can reliably call any time I need assistance. I also know they won't leave me in a tough situation. And can't recommend more highly.
