My HOA scheduled a repair with this company and gave me a time frame from 8am to noon. The plumber never showed up, so I called to confirm if they were still coming. I was told that I was their next job so they would be over soon. 4 hours later, they still haven't showed up or notified me, so I called again. I was told that the plumber came by, couldn't find the complex, and supposedly called me before giving up and leaving.

I took the day off, had my phone on me the whole time, was near the door, and did not have any missed calls or voicemails. I wasted a whole day(on my birthday no less) waiting around for nothing. I'm not sure if dispatch or the plumber dropped the ball, but there goes a wasted day.

Our kitchen sink suddenly became clogged for a unknown reason. So we started to look for a plumber who could service it today. After calling numerous large San Diego County plumbers of reputable big name, we were happy to find Russell Plumbing. The other plumbers were delaying service till Saturday or Monday at the earliest due to large volume of other customers. Aaron showed up at 8:15 PM and fixed the problem in matter of no time at all.

He ensured the problem was fixed as he checked both inside and the line outside were clear and the sink was flowing again. Appreciate the great service, would call again, highly recommend.

This company was called by a 94 year old woman to unclog some drainage in her home. From the several times I have come in to assist her with some in home assistance, she has made the comment that her washing machine backs up into her showers. Earlier this week it was brought to my attention that she called Russell's to resolve this issue. A plumber was sent out on Tuesday and "performed his job".

Upon re-visiting this woman, she told me that the plumber had come and unclogged her plumbing but there were a lot more deeper issues that it being clogged that also needed to be resolved. With hearing that the plumber came, I proceeded to assist her with a load of laundry because the problem was "resolved" but it was not. Water spewed everywhere in her garage so Russell's was called again and asked why the washing machine was not looked at. Shamara (unsure of how to spell her name) stated that a call for only the showers came in but another plumber was to come out as soon as possible.

I was there when the second plumber arrived and stayed with this elderly woman through the entire "resolving" of this problem which went ended with the plumber stating that after using his 60ft cable to try and unclog the plumbing, he or someone else would have to return to finish the rest and that there was so much still coming out of the piping and a longer cable was needed.

We went over other things such as jetting, the washing machine drain pipe had a hole in it and needed replacement, and her previous visit from he previous plumber. I explained that I would not be able to oversee the visit until Friday and that Russells would be called back to schedule another visit. I observed, myself, this plumber replace the washing machine where it was found.

I did leave before he did, but upon my exit, the plumber was in his car talking to who I will assume is his office. This woman gave some resistance to the plumber regarding payment for services because she was concerned that now a third plumber (or a repeat one) was to come out, she would have to pay them AGAIN, and the job was still not complete; which is understood coming from a 94 year old woman who is fully aware that she could possibly be taken advantage of. Russells was called on Thursday to schedule another visit from another plumber. Speaking with Shamara, she explained that due to resistance, this woman was charged only $50 but that it would be refunded to her and that no plumber would be going out due to the plumbers feeling "unsafe" and that they have families to provide for and pretty much cannot settle for a $50 payment.

Some how or another, it was agreed that Russells will be going back out between 12pm-4pm to finish the job and that I would be contacted so that I can oversee that no words of frustration or miscommunication would occur. Friday, July 26 at 3:04pm, I receive a call from a gentleman named John, who "re-capped" the events of what happened. I interrupted him by completing his events recap because it was 50mins to the window ending and I needed to know when a plumber was coming. John proceeded to tell me that is why he was calling, to inform me that no one was coming out.

I asked why I was called with only 50 min notice and why had the office not called me. He stated he called on their behalf for the same reasons above. Nowhere in the hour and 15 minutes that I was there, was this woman threatening or verbally abusing this service provider. I understand the frustrations of having to repeat oneself over and over again but in no way is that to be used against someone like her and used as an excuse not to come back.

If these men cannot handle the words of a non ambulatory, 94 year old woman then they should not be sent or should receive some training on how to de-escalate a situation like this. Like mentioned, I left prior to the plumber himself leaving but in no way was his services interrupted by her or I, in anyway or could she have threatened this man to the point where I now have to speak with their manager Pete on Monday to explain the inconsistencies of this company.

I had some issues with price gouging and incompetence from two big name companies so I went with Russell's to give them a shot. The technician was polite and very friendly. He completed what one company said they couldn't do with their equipment on hand (total incompetence) and another company wanted 5 times the amount for in just a few minutes. He stated my issue didn't require the extra equipment the other company apparently needed.

They were just trying to sell me on a hydro jet/camera I guess. Keep in mind it was a fairly serious issue. My main sewer line had been clogged for almost 3 days due to issues from others I already stated. Luckily my wife and 2 young boys had the toy hauler to use for the facilities but just be aware of some of those other guys. I 100% recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

We have been customers of Russell's for over 30 years but no more! We made an appointment on Monday and was told the next opening was for Friday between 10 and 2. I explained that we had 2 issues, a clogged drain outside and a new faucet inside. I told the girl we had been customers for over 30 years and she told me they don't keep record anymore.?

At noon on Friday a girl called that the plumber was coming to fix the leak under the sink. I told her we didn't have a leak. She argued with me that she was told we had a leak. When I told her we had an outside problem and an inside problem, she said we would need 2 different plumbers. The first plumber arrived around 12:30 PM and said he would let the office know we were still waiting for the drain to be cleared.

At 2 PM we called and the girl said he was still coming but would arrive shortly after 2. Suffice it to say that nobody showed up and nobody even called with an explanation. We waited here until 6 PM and nobody had the courtesy to call. This was the last time I would use them. I made an appointment this morning with ASI and they were here within 2 hours. What a difference. Don't waste your time with Russell's Plumbing.

I'm only giving one start because I can't give a zero stars. They came out to our apartment to fix an issue someone else in our building had. Apparently they thinks it's acceptable to leave a job without the issue being fixed and everyone who lives in the building without water for an entire evening/night. So if you want to have someone come out, not fix your problem, and leave you without water I recommend Russell's plumbing.

Can't take a shower, can't do laundry, can't brush our teeth properly, can't wash our hands, can't flush our toilet, can't even give our dogs water so we had to go an get bottled water to fill their bowls. 100% illegal and unnexceptable.

We have used this company for years. Had them come out and give an estimate to reroute a hot water line. Called to come do the work, told the girl to have Mason call me for just a couple of questions before they do the work (I even told her I wanted them to do the work). He never called back. Called three different times. Spoke to the same girl all three times. Still nothing. I 'am happy for them that have too much work, that information should have been given to me before an estimate was given.

This was my first experience with Russell Plumbing and I was very impressed and definitely recommend them. They were referred by another Drain Service that did not possess the equipment to clear storm drains in my concrete patio. Appt was for 10 to 2 today, the office called earlier saying the plumber was on his way and he arrived 30 minutes early.

He had the equipment, knowledge and was very friendly and personable. The drain hadn't ever been cleared since at least 1992, but after nearly two hours, Chris had it clear, cleaned up and was on his way.

Scheduled an appointment yesterday, said they'd be here today between 10 and 2. At 2:30 I called to ask status. Was told plumber would be here in 45 min. Then called back and asked if I was told there'd be a $98 travel fee. No, I was never told that. I had waited all day. Canceled the appointment.
