I've used them multiple times, once for a mini split, once for LED light install in garage, and also for some maintenance on the boiler, and they were great, definitely recommend. The only pain point (and the reason for four stars) was getting the mini split quoted - it took weeks of calling and emails until I finally got the qoute when the guy quoting said he would get it to me 'the next day', kinda frustrating.

What should have been a simple yearly AC maintenance check-up, turned into a huge inconvenience because of this company. My ten year old Lennox AC unit worked GREAT, DID work GREAT. I always make sure everything in my home is serviced once a year as recommended. With that being said, Clay and another man from Gehringer Mechanical came out on a Friday afternoon when I was not home and serviced the unit, but did NOT check the thermostat keypad after adding refrigerant, which is proper procedure to make sure everything is working properly. Had I been home, I would've reminded them to check the thermostat, but that's not MY job, it's THEIRS. Anyway, when I got home that day, I turned the AC unit on, the keypad went blank and the unit shut off completely.

My husband called the after hours on-call technician at 5 pm that same day and another man came out and made the problem even worse by replacing a blown fuse with one that was too high in voltage, and in turn, it blew up the transformer. Apparently, no one at this company knows exactly what happened, yet the company wanted to send the same technician (Clay) out on the following Monday to try and rectify the situation.

Let me remind you, this is the same tech that left without checking the thermostat in the first place. I called the company and requested that they send another technician, which has set me back yet another day without AC. UPDATE: I called Bruce Zuber from Oley, PA and he figured out the problem. There was a wire pinched in the furnace cover which Clay had to remove in order to service the unit in the first place. Meaning, Clay pinched the wire, but he never checked to see if the unit was working after he serviced it.

All of this could have been avoided had Clay simply checked to see if the unit was working properly after maintenance. Lastly, the after-hours technician should have figured out the problem like Bruce Zuber did. What is an after hours technician's job exactly?

Customer service is not in their vocabulary. I had like others a sketchy installation experience. I had used them one other occasion and they were fine but have learned like other reviews mention these folks will take your money and run. I had a water filter which didn't fit the new faucet they installed. I asked the plumber since I would purchase a new one, not to tighten the aerator which I guess he tuned out.

The aerator was so tight I couldn't get it off and I tried multiple methods. Finally a friend with plumbing experience helped me out. The plumber also threw away the faucet packaging (didn't have the courtesy to ask if I needed it). Now I cannot return the faucet if there's an issue. I called about both issues. They were apathetic and could not be bothered unless to fleece me for a service call charge to unscrew it.

To boot the faucet installed is not snug and is loose. Additional calls went unreturned. Simply unprofessional. I am hopeful another perspective customer can benefit from my bad experience.

I've been using Gehringer Mechanical for many years, to service my home's HVAC and plumbing. Always pleased with their prompt response and their quality work, so I didn't hesitate to use them when the time came for a totally new system. Yesterday, they installed a new HVAC system in my home and I couldn't be MORE pleased! The team of 3 men arrived on time, worked diligently the entire time, answered all of my questions, performed quality work, and left absolutely no mess.

I spoke to each of the installers throughout the day and they were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I am a homeowner that demands careful, quality work and Gehringer's delivered. I highly recommend them.

We called this morning for a gas leak in our house and a tech was on site within two hours. Evan was very knowledgeable, thoroughly checked everything and acted with genuine care. We felt he went above and beyond to make sure our repair was complete. This was our first time using this company but will not be the last. Thank you for the excellent service!

We had issues with 2 showers leaking, which we thought were the cartridges failing which we could not fix. Called and got assigned a rep for 8am on a Friday. Evan showed up and spent about 4 hours here addressing the issue. He was very knowledgeable and made sure the work he did was correct, and ensured he had the proper part for the issue. I would highly recommend Evan for any water needs.

I recently had my Ductless AC unit serviced and over the phone was told it would cost $129.00 as part of service contract. Once tech arrived he said it would take extra time due to condition of inside air handler and had to be disassembled completely to thoroughly clean and would be additional hour. 4 hours later and a bill of $420 I refused to pay forcing a call to negotiate over the phone they dropped an hour and I paid $320.

Which later I find out a competitor would charge $279.00 for a deep clean. Make sure you ask the proper questions prior to any work beginning so you have no surprises but I do know spending 4 hours on a cleaning job is milking the system to overcharge!
