I had Cape Cod Mechanical install a new gas boiler 2 years ago. I contacted then 3 days ago to schedule a repair since we did have not have hot water nor heat. I was told I had to wait 3 days for a repairman. On the third say with no hot water in my home I contacted them and was told they would still not be able to address the problem. This is awful service particularly since they installed the equipment. I would never recommend using this company.

The staff are polite and knowledgeable. I had two previous air conditioning companies come out to repair my central air conditioning and was still having major problems. Cape Cod Mechanical Systems came out and found the base problem and repaired it within 24 hours! Services: Install AC, Heating system maintenance, Install thermostat

Be careful when hiring this business. I called them to work on a problem and made sure to ask their rates, which are $100 for the first half hour, and $25 for every 15 minutes thereafter. The technician did the job in an hour and fifteen minutes. Part of that time, unfortunately, was spent calling the manufacturer to check specifications, which turned out to be fairly long due to wait times.
I expected to be charged for the hour and fifteen minutes labor, but was very surprised to learn they also charge for the trip from their office to the home. Nobody told me this when I asked about the rates, and when I was presented with the bill, it was for and hour and 45 minutes in labor. I was told I had to pay for the time spent driving to my home from their office.
At the quoted rates, you're paying dearly while they drive to your place. I've never had anybody charge me to drive to my home and work on something. So I wound up paying $225 in labor for a man to be at my place for only an hour and fifteen minutes, and once again, nobody disclosed this travel time charge when I asked about rates. Very, very pricey indeed!

Outstanding service, expert advice and they go the extra mile every time. I have hired CCM twice. They replaced my water heater and installed a new heating system, bringing my home out of the 70's and into the 21st Century that operate efficiently on electric power, beading the cost of oil. As for the extra mile: they had their electricians trouble shoot and fix electrical gremlins in my home.
The owner of CCM even paid the pizza man when I left my wallet where the tile guys had just laid fresh floor during renovation. Good, trustworthy contractors are hard to find: and you've just found one.

Had a gas leak in the house and was told the boiler needed cleaning. I thought I had it done not to long ago. Called CCMS and they sent Rich/Rick over. He was very honest and told me who ever did the cleaning did a great job. Unfortunately a mouse built his home in my boiler and this caused the problem. He cleaned the nest out and turned the gas on, then fired up the boiler.
He then tested all the gas lines to make sure there was no leak. He said he wanted to make sure we were safe. GREAT GUY! Thank you very much. I never fill these reviews out but I felt like I needed to.

I used to use my oil company to service my furnace every year until my young 12 year old furnace started leaking water and needed to be replaced. It started leaking water and the oil company said it was no longer under warranty, couldn't be fixed and needed to be replaced for $6k. I didnt feel right since it's only 12 years old so I called cape cod mechanical for a second opinion.
They found that my furnace was not serviced correctly and this problem could have been prevented if it was caught a few years ago when some early signs should have been found. Unfortunately it was too far gone and needed to be replaced. They were able to save some parts of my old system, and worked with the plumbing supply company to get a major piece replaced under warranty (something the oil company said couldn't be done!).
At the end of the end of the job, they charged me $2600 which was less than HALF of my original quote! I just had them come to do the first service call on my new furnace. They spent 2 hours thoroughly cleaning it and the service tech "Rich" couldn't have been nicer. My experience is night and day compared to the oil company.
