Danforth is one of the largest Mechanical Contractors in the Northeast region of the United States. We have been providing comfort solutions since 1884. We primarily focus on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Plumbing Systems for Industrial and Commercial Markets. This includes Industrial, Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 Schools, Municipal, and Commercial office buildings.
The Danforth tradition began over 130 years ago in Buffalo, New York. Our founder, John Willison Danforth started the company with the goal of providing the highest quality Residential and Commercial heating systems. At the turn of the century, World War I was thrust upon the United States. Danforth served as the general contractor to the US Navy Bureau of Yards and Docks, overseeing projects on both the East and West coasts. During the roaring 20's, we expanded our capabilities to better serve the booming chemical and steel industries that flourished in Buffalo.

The hourly rate for this company is $107 per hour. They will charge you for their travel time from the time they leave their building, to get to you in addition to the hours they are there. If they forget something or don't have it, they will go to the store and buy it, and bring it back. You also pay for that travel time, and however long they are at the store.
In addition, there is a "truck fee" that is $55 on top of everything else. Just to inspect a furnace and put in a new filter took him 2 hours. The total $325. On top of it all, he forgot to turn the AC back on when he left, so we had to open it up to figure that out after we went without AC for a day.
