Services
The Water Store has been proudly servicing all of Southeastern Wisconsin since 1974 and has been a family-owned business since its inception, starting as a well pump business and expanding over the years to offer well pumps and well tanks, plumbing services, real estate inspections, well abandonment, and more.
Yearly Inspections: Many of our customers have growing concerns about their water being safe. Communities are warning with alerts like Chromium 6, Arsenic, or Radium. However, coliform bacteria and E.coli are the most common concerns for well owners in Southeastern Wisconsin. Identify your water problems by visiting the Wisconsin DNR Drinking Water Symptoms website.
If you have a well, you may be familiar with water pressure problems arising when your well pump performance fails. Your well pump is responsible for pumping water up from the well and into your house. While there may be several reasons your house stops receiving water from its well, the most common reasons are electrical, tank related, or sometimes the well pump itself fails. The Water Store Wisconsin plumbing professionals are trained to determine the cause and possible fixes for your home's lack of water.
The average life expectancy for a submersible pump and jet pump is around 20 years. If it's time to replace your well tank, visit the water treatment experts of The Water Store! We carry a variety of well tanks to fit your well water needs. From Well-Rite to Wellmate, The Wisconsin well tank installation contractors at The Water Store service Wind Lake, Waterford, Burlington and Muskego with well tanks of the highest quality and will last for many years. Our well tank installation experts will inspect your well to help you determine the best brand and well pump model to benefit your plumbing system.

Our experience with the Water Store has probably been the worst customer support we have ever experienced in our lives. We were concerned about possible vinyl chloride content in our water due to our proximity to land fills so we had the Water Store collect water samples for testing and to install a reverse osmosis water filter system. First, the water store was MONTHS late on providing the test results.
When we finally received the results we were told they had the results on time and that despite all of our calls someone had just repeatedly dropped the ball and failed to simply mail the report to us. Next was the installation and support of the RO water filtration system. First, they completely disregarded our instructions. We told them to install the system in the basement so we could have filtered water at the kitchen sink and to the ice maker and dispenser in the refrigerator.
They instead installed the system under the sink so the refrigerator was not supplied as we had requested. On top of that, the installation leaked under the sink and we had to clean up a huge puddle of water in the kitchen (luckily before there was any water damage to the floor or cabinet). They then came back to the house on a later date and disconnected the system and then installed it the way we had originally requested.
Fast forward a year later, I need replacement filters for the RO system. I call the Water Store, but their number is actually for "emergencies" and you don't get someone at the store. You can't actually call the store to check for availability or order parts, in the day and age of cell phones and internet you have to physically go to the store and ask if they have the parts you need.
So this is what I did and the person on location in Muskego was useless anyway. They didn't have the filters I needed in stock. Did they offer to order them for me? Nope. They did ask if I'd like to drive 15 minutes away to their Wind Lake location to see if they had the filter there. How was it not obvious to them that they should simply call their other location and check part inventory rather than sending their customer on a scavenger hunt? I have given up on these clueless, incompetent people that have zero concept of what costumer service is. My advice, avoid these clowns and call Bulter Soft Water instead.

We woke on a Thursday morning to no water. Assumed we needed a new pump (we have a well). I called about 9:00 that morning and someone was here the same afternoon. Because of the age of the pump (40+ years), it was determined we probably needed a new one. They came back on Friday, pulled the pump, determined it was still perfectly fine and spent the next couple of hours trying to figure out the problem. Determined it was a frozen "lateral" (we had some foundation work done during the summer).
They spent much time trying to thaw it for us -- all with great patience and professionalism. When the two gentlemen left, they told us that they were reaching out to another plumbing company that might have a tool that could help them with the frozen blockage. They stayed in touch with updates, but our water returned (I'm sure thanks to their efforts) before they could make or locate the tool.
They even sent someone back the next day (at our request) because we were having trouble restarting our water heater. I would highly recommend this business. Thank you to Randy, Andy, Charlie and Pam (and the gentleman that restarted our water heater -- I can't remember his name). Also, Andy and Charlie were nice to our dog. Thanks again!

Entered the store looking for a new water softener. Was told they would call us to set up appointment on Monday. No one called on Monday, so we called the store and were given the number for the scheduler. We called the scheduler and she was very pleasant and assured us she knew our location and would be happy to send someone out (we live two miles south of Big Bend).
On the scheduled day, we received a call from the technician scheduled to come out. He said it would be "36 minutes of windshield time" for him to travel to us. When we pressed him as to what he was alluding to, he said it was a long drive for just a service call. After him insisting it was a lot of "windshield time" for him, we finally asked if he did not want to make the drive.
He said yes, but he was happy to refer KH Water Specialists in Mukwonago! We called KH and they IMMEDIATELY saw to our needs. I personally visited the Water Store to let them know of my disappointment in their service. I was politely listened to and then sent on my way. No effort made to find out who I was or who the service tech may be that offered such poor service. If you have any type of water softener or plumbing needs, use KH Water Specialists. They don't have any problems with "windshield time".
