A Carolina Cool service person was nice enough to knock on my door while working for my neighbor about 3 years ago to warn me there was an issue with my AC turning off and on quickly. I told him who had installed the system, and he said there was probably too much coolant over-pressurizing my system, and it might only need removing the excessive pressure to fix the problem I thanked him, but called the company that had installed the system 2 or 3 years previously.

Big Mistake. After spending about $1800 for an un-needed repair-- it turned out Carolina Cool had been correct--I would have been much happier with them, and saved a bungle of money. If an honest service person ever gives me free information again-I will listen to them.

We contacted Carolina Cool for an electrical wall socket upgrade in our home. They responded promptly-----did efficient, clean and neat work and the charges were reasonable.

Stacy was AMAZING! He was so kind and kept me updated on our repair timeline as our part had to be ordered. He called me as soon as part arrived and came directly to my home to install it. He was so friendly and chatted with my husband and I on the first visit. He made me feel very comfortable as I am wary of repairmen in my home. I will forever use Carolina Cool in the future. Carolina cool replaced a small HVAC pipe in my 1 bedroom condo which is a rental. Brand new flooring and cabinets were installed less than 2 weeks prior to HVAC work. HVAC pipe broke the following day and flooded my unit and several units below mine. Flooring and cabinets had to be replaced. Initially Carolina Cool took full responsibility and told me they would cover ALL my costs including loss rental.

Over the next 2 - 3 months Carolina Cool changed their tune and said they would only cover drywall replacement. I got nothing from them! I had to file a claim with my HOA who did cover all repairs but not the rental income I lost due to their bad work. I lost more than 5 K in rental income. DON'T USE THEM. Plenty of other good companies that stand behind their work.

We chose Carolina Cool based on the knowledge and professionalism of sales. My husband & I contacted three contractors to replace the HVAC unit at our home. Jason, from Carolina Cool, gave us information to be sure we understood what we might need providing six options in varying price ranges. He did not pressure us to sign an agreement immediately, as the other two contractors did, as well he provided the quotes in clear written form.

Our service was booked in a timely manner by the office personnel. And the technicians, Adam & Hunter, arrived when expected, went over the work to be performed, gave us precise timeline as to what to expect, and got straight to work. They were respectful of my home, asking if I preferred they stay masked while in my house, put on and removed booties whenever they left their worksite, where they had laid tarps.

They were polite and personable too. We have had work on our unit by different companies over the years, but I do believe after our experience with Carolina Cool we are customers for life. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked.

We contracted Carolina Cool to replace the downstairs & upstairs HVAC systems. We also needed additional ductwork to handle the new systems. We are 100% satisfied with both the systems & the gentlemen who installed them. Tomas & Michael were so professional & extremely efficient. They demonstrated great attention to detail during the entire process.

They put down drop cloths to protect the floors & stairs & vacuumed thoroughly at the end of each work day. We feel we received a great value for our money & would definitely use them again for all future HVAC needs.

We recently had Carolina Cool install a new HVAC system and we were so impressed with how professional, knowledgeable and thorough they were. We wanted the Unit in our Attic moved to a location that made it easier to work on and we also wanted the Unit outside moved from the side of our house to out back. Geoff, the salesman came several times for measurements, etc. and brought a contractor with him to verify what could be done with the job.

He also came back with the two guys that were installing the units and the Electrician to make sure that all were informed of exactly where the units were to be moved to. The two men that installed our Unit, Steve and Ivan, were wonderful. Steve was the senior installer and the amount of knowledge that he had was so impressive. and so nice to see.

He worked meticulously to ensure that everything was hooked up correctly, checked all the existing duct work, added a new/additional return at the other end of the house, labeled everything. so detailed and efficient. Both men were so professional and knowledge and so polite! We had used another company for the past 9 years and were constantly disappointed. We will now be using Carolina Cool for everything. We also found out that they do plumbing and electrical work too.

My parents used a prior company and had to call them back several times. Did some research and found Carolina Cool. Quick response and technician was professional. Resolved the air conditioning issue quickly and with one visit. Would definitely recommend them for your HVAC needs!

Carolina Cool is ABSOLUTELY the best HVAC company in the area. They are a local, family-owned business that has deep roots in the community. They also have licensed electricians on staff, so they are a full service organization. You can hear their ads on most local radio stations. They are such great people to work with. Now that's cool

Called them up for a quote set an appointment. Between 2 and 6 they said. Never showed never called. Arg

This should be the company you call for ANY air conditioning or HVAC issues/installs you'd have in the Grand Strand area. We had an issue that arose with a condo we own in Myrtle and was contacted by our homeowner representative that there was no air conditioning in the unit. The contracted company had sent an estimate to the representative that seemed crazy expensive, to tge tune of $750.00 JUST for the test.

Any parts/repairs would be additional. Calling friends in the business only confirmed that it was way way way out of line for that. Upon looking in Yelp and seeing Carolina Cools reviews we figured lets reach out, no harm no foul. We spoke to Mike who was EXTREMELY quick to respond. He listened to us, explaining how they have a much much less expensive test the initially start with. if that is not sufficient they then go to the 2nd test (which is the only option we were given with the other company) and he stated that test would be $450-500.00 IF NEEDED, AND that we would not pay for the first test since it would not have found the leak.

We immediately knew we weren't hiring them. They went out the same day (yesterday 6/2) and found a leak. Mike called us, explaining the leak and that it was found on the first test, the less expensive test ($167.00)! So far we would have saved a sizeable amount of money. We gave the green light and he said a technician Joe was going to handle the job. Mike then called us as work was being done reassuring us that Joe was very capable.

All very important things to hear, and know when you aren't on site. Today Mike called us (6/3/20) to let us know the job was completed, however as Joe tested the system he encountered another leak. unfortunately this leak is in a place that would put Carolina Cool in a predicament with the other company as the leak is in a chase that has other condominium lines running through it. Mike then went on to do something that was AMAZING and told us since they didn't officially fix the leak that they weren't going to charge us. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED, totally APPRECIATED! THANKS THANKS THANKS!

Our AC broke on Saturday March 21, 2020. Thank you for sending your fantastic technician Jim. Our home was built 2 years ago. The warranty just expired at the end of Feb. we have had problems since we moved in. Apparently it was a defective installation but the company who installed it as well as the builder didn't want to pay to have it properly fixed.

So they kept piece meal repairing it. Well now it's out of warranty. Your tech Jim was able to immediately diagnose the problem. Although it will cost us a small fortune to repair, I'm confident that when the parts are in and you sent Jim back it will be fine. He's fantastic and excellent. Thank you!

Carolina Cool explained the equipment that needed to be replaced and arrived on time. Their proposal was very thorough and both technicians (for the hot water heater and HVAC) followed up to ensure I understood their recommendations and equipment to be installed. Our project was not an easy one - our air handler was encapsulated in the ceiling and not accessible but needed to be replaced. They worked all day and left my house clean as well.

Had them replace my air conditioning unit. Entire company very professional and helpful from the office staff all the way to the HVAC people. Very prompt and they cleaned up afterwards. Highly recommend

I had just been told by ARS Myrtle Beach that my less than three year old unit had a leak in the copper tubing and it was gonna cost me 1500 dollars to repair. He said it was covered under warranty but this was the labor cost and the job would take 4-6 hours. And this was after they made me wait 13.5 hours to show up to my house, which was now 90 degrees. Thankfully I was smart enough to know something was wrong and refused the service.

Because ARS made me wait so long to get someone out there it was nearly midnight, so me and my family stayed at my grandmothers. Next day called Carolina Cool and the tech was out there in less than 2 hours. He agreed their was a leak in the tubing but he said it was a simple fix. And he also said it was most likely ARS who caused the leak when they installed the unit.

The repair took 20 minutes and only cost me $165.00. My AC is back up and running better than ever. The technician, Jamie, was very helpful and explained everything he was doing and most of all he did not talk down to me like I am some idiot. He was very professional and efficient. I recommend Carolina Cool because they care about the customers and are not looking to suck their bank accounts dry. I work for a vacation rental agency as a Property Manager and we have AC issues all the time. I now know which company I will be using for the majority of those issues.

This company is wonderful! Professional, prompt and knowledgeable! I had problems with my HVAC not heating. temp was 4 degrees below thermostat setting. I have a home warranty and paid $125 service fee for them to send Local HVAC company to determine problem. THEY said NOTHING was wrong. My system continued to run, nonstop with the same problem so I called Carolina Cool. They came out THAT DAY, found out the problem in a short time! now system is working perfect! Thanks Again! I will recommend them to everyone I see!

Carolina cool installed a new Trane air handler and heat pump last summer. I should have known there would be issues when their follow up inspector came out and had to fix three issues left by the installers. A few months in the system stopped working and after 5 visits from Carolina cool they finally determined that the problem was a leak in the line set.

Despite this almost certainly being caused by the installation of the new system Carolina cool refused to repair/replace it. They initially quoted $1300 to get it replaced and after three phone calls and two trips to their office to speak with three managers they were wouldn't budge below $700 despite it being a result of their installation. I got quotes from multiple other companies and they were all in the $400-600 range so needless to say I had them do the work and will not be doing any more business with the overpriced and unreliable Carolina cool ever again.
