Services
Have you tried the trusted plunger but it just doesn't seem to be working this time? We know it is a terrible feeling when something so important that we take for granted isn't working and the drain1 is clogged, backed up with water. It can be not only an inconvenience, but also a real health hazard.
Hydro-Jetting, also known as drain-jetting, is the most efficient method of sewer drain cleaning available. The Drain Team offers state-of-the-art hydro-jetting services in the Tampa Bay area, serving Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Unlike the less effective and more typical "cabling" method for clearing pipes of built-up grease, dirt and debris-which merely creates a small hole in the clog for water to go through-hydro-jetting completely clears the entire pipe. The Drain Team offers the most sophisticated and efficient hydro-jetting services for residential and commercial sewer drain cleaning in the Tampa Bay area.
The Drain Team is an expert in handling grease traps in the Tampa Bay area. Many restaurants use us for routine maintenance or repair on small or larger in-ground grease traps. We can also quickly upgrade your grease traps to comply with the appropriate codes necessary to keep your business running.
Leak detection in Tampa Bay can easily be handled by the pros at The Drain Team. We have experience throughout the Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, as well as Pasco areas in all types of buildings, both commercial and residential. A positive answer to any of these questions means there is most likely a leak somewhere in your plumbing system and you should have it checked out immediately. It probably won't just go away and the sooner you fix it, the greater chance you have of avoiding larger expenses.

I have had the dream team come now three times to my house For various reasons. When I call, they are responsive. Kayla is nothing but sweet, energetic, outgoing, professional and accommodating. Tim, my favorite service advisor, is also polite, professional, trustworthy, personable, quick to resolve the issue and fair. I got The Drain Team's number from a friend and it is saved for all my future plumbing needs. They be installing a water softener for me soon as well! Now if I could just find an electrician, AC and handyman that were equally amazing!

After a lot of frustration with numerous other local plumbing companies I am so HAPPY I found The Drain Team! Called on a Friday, Tim came out on Saturday for a free estimate, which I discovered is something very unusual. Tim was back a few days later to do the installation. The water heater part had a little unique quirk to it, as the last homeowners decided to put the water heater that was now leaking on a shelf about 6 feet high in the garage. Tim succeeded in wrestling it to the ground and then did a beautiful and clean job installing the new unit on the ground.

The toilet installation was done in a flash. Tim was courteous, professional, cleaned up all the mess created by the two installations. I will definitely be calling The Drain Team and will specifically request Tim in the future for any plumbing needs around my house. Great Job.

I called The Drain Team about having the was ring replaced on my toilet because of water leaking out of the bottom. The next day they sent out Josh (421) to my house to give me an estimate and do the job. He was on time, did a great job, and was very professional. He cleaned as he worked and everything was perfect when he left. I will call them ANYTIME I need any plumbing done and I will definitely ask for Josh again.

We've been using The Drain Team for 20+ years. Every time we've called they came out right away. Bill is our area plumber, and he has a ton of experience and knowledge, we trust him. His sons Ryan or Alex are usually with him and they do excellent work. We've been extremely happy and satisfied with the service we receive. It is always done quickly and professionally, always quality work at a reasonable cost. We wouldn't use any other plumbing service!

After my husband screwed around with my plumbing for eight hours, Romello came out quickly and efficiently cleared our pipes. Our drains are working better than they have since we bought the house three years ago. Romello was very courteous and professional. Great experience!

We called this company to lower the flange because we thought it was too high to install our new flooring. A young gentleman named Rome showed up and he was extremely professional and very honest and we were blown away with how inexpensive his services were. Highly, highly, highly recommend. He is our "go to" plumber from here on in. Ten thumbs up!

We had a significant plumbing issue, the first call was handled by Tanner, he did a great job but was limited by the equipment he had. The next day Jason came and worked all day until our issue was taken care of. They were both extremely professional and customer focused. Jason was knowledgeable and kept us up to date with his progress all day. My husband and I both commented that the company is fortunate to have such hard working employees. We would not hesitate to refer anyone to The Drain Team.

Hired The Drain Team to find a leak in my kitchen on Monday. The guy that came out to do that was great - on time, quick, and kind. He had the company call me to set up a time for a plumber to come out and repair the leak, which they did. Then. Mon afternoon: scheduled plumber for Tuesday 8am-11am window Tues 11:40am: call from company saying plumber is running behind, he'll now arrive between 1:00pm - 4:00pm Tues 4:08 pm: call comes to my phone from a number I don't recognize while I happen to be on a work-related call, I can't answer it, let it go to voice mail. 4:30 I end my work call, check my voice mail - nothing. to be on the safe side, I called that number back just in case and, after several rings and no answer, I hang up. Tues 4:32 pm: call from that number again, I answer, it's the drain team. man says he's the only one in the office, everyone else has gone home, sorry for missing my call.

I said, "that's ok, I'm guessing you were just calling to let me know the plumber was on the way?" yes but because I didn't answer their 4:08pm call, they "re-routed the plumber to another job." "so there's no plumber coming to my house right now?" "no, it's our policy to cancel when we can't get ahold of you." "so is anyone coming AT ALL, like, ever?" "no." less than 30 minutes after his initial call to me, no voice mail message, no other attempt at communication (no second call attempt, text messages, nothing) on their part and BOOM: canceled. just like that. meanwhile, my husband and I tag teamed so someone would be home ALL. DAY. to wait on them. we were gracious about them not showing the first time, then calling after the fact to say they're running late, then to them not showing again but ONE MISSED PHONE CALL (again, after the window of time they gave us had closed) on my end makes them cancel on us? maybe I should thank them? I mean, if their craftsmanship is anything like their customer service then I clearly dodged a bullet.

Seth from the DRAIN TEAM identified the problem as a faulty faucet (a previous company failed to do so) and gave me an estimate to install a new one. He came a few days later and installed the new faucet quickly and professionally and cleaned up after finishing. He was a pleasure to deal with as was the company rep on the phone. I highly recommend this company.

This post is by any means a complete reflection of the company itself. It is more a direct reflection of an employee. I called this company and they responded very quick, even made extra time to take care of my needs. However, when the assigned employee showed up the first comment was "oh chihuahua" giving the impression that he didn't know what type of water heater I have.

It is a hybrid (solar/electric) heater that was leaking from the pressure reliefs valve. I asked him if he had an idea of the problem, he said no. I told him that I spoke with the manufacturer and they said it could be two things, 1. The valve itself or 2. The expansion tank. He then agreed. I proceeded by asking is there was a way to troubleshoot and once again he said no and that he would have to replace both the tank and the valve.

Seem excessive to me but I'm not a plumber. So I asked for the estimate which he quoted at $382.95. To which I responded " I'll have to think about it". Then I went on to you tube and found that there was a way to troubleshoot the expansion tank with a simple tire gauge. I then got some courage and played plumber. I watched the video, did some reading, and with prior experience I was able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix the leaking heater with a $10 gauge.

I understand that I pay for an experts time, knowledge, tools, license, etc. but when I get "chihuahua", can't troubleshoot, have to replace everything, and then an estimate for $382.95 for a $10 fix it's just plain laziness or someone doesn't know their job and needs training. I highly doubt everyone in this company is like this but I was u fortunate enough to have to deal with the one.

The drain team originally told me Free Estamate they were here about half hour I moved everything myself to they looked under trailer for leak told me it would be 1552.00 to replace 20 feet of pipe I asked them to cap it they wanted to charge me 658.00 for that my FREE ESTIMATE TURNED INTO 192.50. THEY HAD A BAD ATTITUDE when I told them I was disabled and I couldn't afford they're pricy fix DON'T USE THEM FOR ANYTHING RIPP OFF

I called these guys at 2:41pm to get a service call to my house and they called back at 2:56pm that they were on the way. That's fantastic! My drain from the washing machine was over flowing out and the sink in kitchen was backing up. Needed a snake and pipe repair. First company I had out quoted us $1300.00 for snake and pipe replacement (PVC pipe) plus $79 service call. Jason my service tech showed up so fast and went right to work.

He went above and beyond service to make sure we were satisfied with his work and everything was done properly. I will definitely use The Drain Team again and highly recommend them! And it was significantly less!

I wanted my drains camera'd as when I have guests and the bathrooms and toilets get used a lot it sometimes backs up. Charged $250+ for camera work then $450+ to dig a hole and fit an inspection riser to the sewer outside the house. I'm still not sure if the problem will reoccur. They said I probably need it jetting outside and want to charge me $1275. for the pleasure. I'll shop about I think. I paid over $700. for about 3 hours work and a bit of plastic. Very expensive I feel.

I had a clog up shower drain. I called two companies for repair estimate. First company said, it will cost $399.00 to clean the pipe with the snake machine. The second company "The Drain Team", it will cost $165.00 - $35 with coupons discounts from phone book, or 10%, military discount. The technician was professional, friendly service, and the repair cost is definitely a lot less than other company I gave 5 Stars service I recommend. The Drain Team - is now our plumber for a call

Be careful! They will either OVER charge you, IF they show up at all. They came out to scope the sewer lines at Twin Gables Mobile Home Park. They charge $3000. But are telling us that we paid for the scope and our invoice was the report and we don't get a DVD of it. The invoice stated "scope sewer lines".

Showed up at my place, had a leak in the tank in the master bedroom toilet, and the guy said it had to be replaced. The guys name Chris said it would cost around 521 dollars. The toilet and tank he wanted to take out was a water saver kohler uses a half gallon to flush. its a good toilet tank, So after he left, I took a look into the tank, and saw it was loose, so I took a screwdriver and tighten up the 3 screws.

And problem solved. Apparently it only took a screwdriver, but yet they wanted to replace the whole take, and on top for 521 dollars. Be careful with this company they want to rip you off.

These guys CALL themselves PLUMBERS?! Uh, nope. Plumbers know NOT to leave their tools behind, that's kind of the "first rule" of plumbing, which these "KNUCKLEHEADS" seemed to have forgotten. Idiots left behind (in the grass) from a job next door, a 27" length steel and curb water meter key and someone placed it in the sewer drain where I nearly destroyed the bottom of my car pulling into the driveway.

The company LOGO placed on their trucks should be as follows. We are a lovely bunch of knuckleheads, they call us The Drain Team! Sorry, the one thing I don't put up with is "INCOMPETENCE", AND if you don't like the bad review I can honestly say, that "AIN'T MY PROBLEM", because you hired incompetent people in the first place. Your tool is sitting atop the garbage cans, so go step and fetch it.

I can't say enough good things about this company, especially their customer service representative, Christie, and their technician, Seth (#405)! I needed wax rings installed on two toilets and two shut off valves replaced under the bathroom sink. I was expecting to wait weeks to actually get someone to the house and two days later, it's done!. Christie was very friendly, communicative, and helpful in quickly resolving a bad experience with the technician who came to give a quote and sent Seth over to take care of it the next day. Seth was professional, COVID conscious, communicative, and did a stellar job with the work.

He even didn't mind replacing the faucet on the sink (a job I had planned to do myself, but was happy to have done) as a late addition to the job. If you need work done, ask for Seth by name! I'll definitely be going to these guys first for any future plumbing needs and I give them the highest recommendation I can!

Matt installed our shower fixtures and did a wonderful job. Ensured customer service and demonstrated a commitment to excellence. We had a small plumbing issue 14 months later, and Wesley responded. Same quality care. Figured out the problem within 5 minutes. I definitely recommend this company for all your plumbing issues. Thank you Drain Team! Tony & Maria Gutilla!

I called the drain team on the Friday during Thanksgiving weekend. Within a few hours they had a tech at my home to survey hot water heater issues. He went through a checklist of things including electrical, reset, temperature adjustment. No luck. Bad element. We discussed pros and cons or sourcing and installing a new heating element or replacing the water heater at a higher cost.

I chose to replace the heater. The tech arrived as arranged and began the new install. In to the install we discovered that his tank supplier had given him a tank that would not fit the space allotted correctly. After some conversations with the supplier it was determined that they did not have the tall model needed to fit the space properly. After considerations and discussions the company authorized the tech to purchase the right water heater from a local retail store even though it was not in their protocol.

They got the right unit and did the install quickly with additional professionals to assist. They turned lemons into lemonade. Perfection doesn't appear often in our world and the mark of professionalism and success is how we respond to problems. In this case it was very good. Use them if this is what you would expect from professionals you hire.

While watching water flow into my garage, I had a moment of clarity. I realized I much prefer our water to be inside our pipes rather than outside. It's just much more manageable that way. As the internet told me this job needed more parts, tools, and plumbing skills than I had on hand, I started calling a lot of plumbing businesses that advertise 24/7 emergency services.

Long story short, i was looking at a long wait and a huge bill, unless I wanted to wait until Monday. The good folks at The Drain Team called me back, and let me know a plumber was en route. Hallelujah. I was still concerned that the estimate would be way outside my comfort zone, but I'd take any help I could get at that point. William showed up right away, and got right down to brass tacks: here's the problem, here's your options, and here's what it will cost. which was MUCH less than what I'd feared, based on verbal estimates from other plumbers. William is an incredibly friendly, easy-going gentleman who worked tirelessly to get the job done.

He takes pride in his work, and didn't just throw a band-aid on the problem: he made sure the job was done right the first time. I definitely appreciate both the conversation and the quality of work, we're now a customer for life. Thanks again!

I was very happy with The Drain Team. They were on time and (Tim) was courteous and professional. My problem was diagnosed w/in minutes and a fair price was presented before any work started. We came home to a leak late Saturday night. We called the drain team and Bill came out immediately to help at 2am! We are beyond impressed! Don't call for emergency repairs. Advised me at 1040 am they would be here between 1-4, then called me @ 117pm to say they couldn't make it and would be tomorrow. When you have to turn off your water due to a leak, waiting a day is not an option. Would have been nice to get a call before I took the rest of the day off of work so I could get my leak repaired!

1. After snaking my drain the first visit, employee left sludge from the drain all over my tub, splattered on my walls and floor of my bathroom. 2. Second visit, they did not fix everything that was on their "list". When we asked, we were given an "oh well not my problem deer in the headlights" answer. (We have to go through our property manager for any repairs).Ok maybe a misscommunication? 3.

The new toilet was installed crooked with no caulking and no caulking in necessary spots where one would assume a plumber would caulk. 4. They did not clean up the mess, excess materials, empty boxes, or screws that were used to complete the job(s). (One employee asked for a broom, I'm not sure why because my bathroom was disgusting)! 6. Before leaving, and WALKING PAST TWO EMPTY TRASH CANS, they emptied their shop vacuum at the end of our driveway. ***SEE PICTURES*** 7. Jaunita, I assume the receptionist, was EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. She was able to get the "Drain Team" employees over there ASAP.Thank you Juanita!

After a difficult and disappointing remodel 2 years ago involving multiple contractors and plumbing companies, I admit I'd lost a lot of faith in the services provided to us in St. Pete. I'm very happy to report that faith has been restored because of our experience with Randi, our plumber and Pete the manager at The Drain Team. We had a main sewer line back up this past Saturday (2nd time in 4 months) which flooded our bathroom, living room and kitchen. Opting to use a different plumbing company than before, my neighbor recommended The Drain Team.

I was stressed when I called Pete who reassured me and promised to have someone out to us later that morning. Randi arrived about an hour or so later and took care of everything within an hour -- all for a very reasonable price. Here's what sets this company (and Randi) apart. he explained to us what was causing the recurring problem, roots which were invading the sewer line from the house to the street.

He also determined there was a "lip" due to a poor connection at a joint in the line that was slowing everything down and causing a backup of refuse. Then Randi fully explained all of our options, keeping in mind the cost to perform each recommendation, from replacing the sewer line all the way to the street, to installing a safety valve outside of the house, etc.

We never felt pressured in any way - he simply outlined our options and the associated costs. In short, he gave us all of the facts so that could make an informed decision in the future. The services he performed were competent, efficient, and timely. Randi was extremely professional, friendly, polite, knowledgeable. The humbleness he displayed was in stark contrast to my previous experience with the condescending attitudes of employees from other plumbing companies in the area. Randi followed up today to install the safety valve.

This service call as well as the prior call were preceded by courtesy calls from the main office -- letting us know within a 30 minute window of when he would arrive. We plan to use The Drain Team to install a new sewer line this year and for all of our future plumbing services, which will include installing plumbing to a second bathroom we intend to construct and a landscaping water feature inside of our screened porch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED COMPANY.

Charged $282.95 for a clogged drain. Was told I needed another $650.00 worth of work to install a cleanout. I called a different company for a second opinion. Glad I did. There was a cleanout 3 feet from where the Drain Team plumber had been working.

My friends if you ever need a plumber STAY AWAY from The Drain Team, they are spiteful and vindictive scum. We have been working on getting a pipe in our yard replaced and as such have been getting estimates. When this company was told they did not get the contract they called the county and reported my father for. get this. not having enough trees on the property, that's right in Pinellas county you are required to have at least 4 trees on your property.

My father received a citation and has been given 90 days to plant the requisite number of trees. How petty is that you don't get the contract so you do something like that, Find someone else to fix your pipes this company is an enormous festering sack of rancid monkey spunk that somebody left in the sun to dry, and they deserves to have their business flushed away. Pun intended.

So this morning after seeing this bad review, the company calls my father at 7am to complain to him about the review, because THATS how you get past a bad review, not by using better business practices but by throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler. Yup petty.

We have a family owned restaurant and we needed a plumber to come and fix a problem that we were having. Our customer's depend on our service and I expect that when I call another company I get good service. They didn't even bother to call or show up. I wouldn't waste your time with the drain team.

So, if you have a plumbing emergency- don't bother calling the Drain Team. It's been almost 5 hours now since I first called them and they aren't even following up. When I called back after 2 hours- they put me on hold and then never picked up again. I had to have our business owner call them from her phone and they answered right away.

Not the best service to leave a salon hanging all day, especially one that you did the plumbing work on and have received good business from. They either do not have enough employees, poor management, undertrained dispatch, or just simply don't care. *Update- they just now called and said they can't come today. Wow- really! Could have just called someone else from the beginning. Tyler-DOLLYLOCKS SALON

I'm not sure how they are if they actually come out, but they get one star from me on my limited interaction with them. We need a plumber today. I go to their website first and see they really tout their ability to get out same day, claiming they can usually get someone there within an hour. I didn't even need the one hour service, but I do need same day - which Drain Team seems to think they have no problem doing.

I was told when I called that they were "really booked up today, " - could they send someone tomorrow. Um, no. I can't do laundry, I can't wash dishes - I need someone today. The woman with whom I was speaking did not seem like she could have cared any less. I recommend these guys change their page to read "sometimes we can get there same day and sometimes we can't, and if we can't we won't act as if we care."

The worst. Took the time to explain everthing in detail to worker, he still placed pipes in the wrong locations, at the wrong angles, came unprepared - didn't have the right cable, the right clamps, etc. etc. He must have made three different trips to the hardware store. This job should have taken a day but instead took two full days and still isn't done.

He then added another $1,000 to the price because he said he forgot to include some of the work we discussed in detail before work started. We've decided to finish the work with someone else to make sure it's done right. What a collassal waste of money. The job consisted of installing a new water heater, washer and dryer (with vent already in place in the ceiling) and sink. The room was fully plumbed before any work was done. Wish I had read other yelp reviews before hiring them.
