RHD Services, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Robert H. Davis as a plumbing and mechanical contracting businesses engaged in the design and installation of plumbing and mechanical systems. Since 1990, our focus has been on Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) including underground utility designating/locating.
Services
Our goal is to provide our clients with accurate underground utility information. We achieve this by providing in-house training for our technicians and using a variety of the best equipment available. Utility locating is performed using radio frequency methods for metallic utilities and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for non-metallic utilities.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) has become an important tool in locating underground utilities and other anomalies below the ground surface. We use GPR primarily for locating non-metallic utilities. This tool is also used for finding changes in subsurface conditions (trench lines) or underground storage tanks (UST's). The GPR will also locate metallic utilities but its advantage is finding plastic pipes or conduits.
