Used Caffi for the first time recently. They scheduled someone to come the same day to service our system and diagnose a water leak. Came back two days later to make the repair. Very well skilled professional Plumbing outfit. I can highly recommend them as they know what they're doing. Nice thing is you can actually communicate with them very well. Would easily be five star review although they are a bit pricey but then again you get what you pay for. Overall very good experience.

The initial work order involved installing a water pressure booster pump, and the plumber - Robert- did an excellent installation. In the following days I noticed the pump would turn on despite no water being used in the house. I called Caffi Services and they sent Robert out immediately to investigate the issue. When Robert arrived, I told him the issue and his response reinforced my impression that this young man is customer service driven- "Sir, I installed it, so I own it.

If something is wrong I will get it fixed. Unfortunately the "wrong" was a leaking hot water heater! It was 18 degrees outside and the thought of having no hot water was alarming. Once again, Robert impressed me with his amazing customer service. He was able to find a new pump - space limitations did not allow for a standard sized 50 gallon tank- have it delivered the following morning, and completed the installation that afternoon.

It was refreshing to see a person dedicated to his craft and dedicated to ensuring the customer is taken care of properly. Robert is an excellent plumber and and even great representative for Caffi Services. I highly recommend Caffi, but I also highly recommend Robert. Excellent job sir.

We recently returned to Caffi after less-than-satisfactory experiences with another provider, whom we worked with as part of a package deal. UPSIDE: the installation team was stellar. Cheerful, competent, resourceful and quick to recover from errors made by the showroom/ordering side of the business. DOWNSIDE: the showroom/ordering experience was pretty terrible from start to finish.

Communication was very poor, and in the end we essentially identified the right replacement faucet ourselves. When Caffi received the order, it was mislabeled, which delayed our installation appointment. When our really excellent plumber arrived, he didn't have the hardware-more internal confusion between ordering and installation. The installation team responded brilliantly, and in the end our faucet was installed more or less on schedule.

The plumber very kindly gave us a small discount on installation, but the bottom line is that we paid more or less full price for a time-consuming and frustrating experience. We are willing to pay even above-market rates for good value, but in this case we just didn't get it. I hope that Caffi is just going through a rough patch and will bounce back.

As always Robert the technician provider exemplary service. He was on time and completed the cartridge replacement efficiently- no muss, no fuss. Now my 10 plus year old shower faucet no longer leaks. Kudos also to Brian and Ed at Caffi for obtaining the cartridge for this somewhat obscure brand. Services: Toilet repair, Shower repair

Robert did a great job installing our kitchen faucet recently - as he always does. My wife and I have been customers of Caffi Services for years now (at two different homes). Robert has been the guy who showed up to help us several times. Robert is always prompt, effective, and professional - of course. Beyond that, Robert has been excellent in explaining the best product options for us and why. We always take his advice and have been happy with the results. Count us highly satisfied!

Technician arrived and I showed him the issue. He immediately diagnosed and explained/showed me what needed to be repaired. He provided an estimate and had the part in his truck. I approved him to do the work, and in less than 30 minutes he was finished. Very professional and respectful young man. He wore a mask and put shoe covers on when entering my house. Great service!

Robert and Brian did an excellent job of unclogging our sewer line. Robert was especially gracious in explaining each step of the process. They were thorough, professional and detail-oriented. Caffi is a wonderful company. They have been so good to my family over many, many years now. They are honest, reliable, dependable, do quality work, at a fair price. They are good at communicating and keeping me up to date. I have a very unusual situation and they bend over backwards to accomodate me. I will never use another company for these services.

Last week I had concerns that I might issues with a possible sewage back up in my home requiring a fairly expensive back flow prevention device. The Caffi folks found room on the schedule and came out the same day to put the camera down our sewer line to the street. The guys that came out were knowledgeable and willing to teach me how it all works and didn't mine letting me watch and learn. The result was that everything was fine and I didn't need to spend any more money. Now I have piece of mind in the future. Thank you Caffi Plumbing.

We've used Caffi multiple times since we moved into our house in Alexandria more than a decade ago, and they've always been great. Very responsive, high quality work, and always nice, helpful guys that come to the house. Definitely use.

Absolutely the best service and installation for central AC/Heat. They installed our new min-split AC/Heat within a weeks time and that included working with our electrician. A shout out to Erlon, William, Fermine and Rob for a fantastic job well done. They cleaned up after each day and didn't leave a speck of dirt. Definitely your go to company for plumbing and AC/Heat install.

I called the service to have my review my HVAC. If it was necessary, they were going to charge additional fees for any repairs and/or cleaning. Since I changed my air handler recently, it was only required the check up. I think they were honest because last year another company to review, charged me three times more and at the end I needed to change the air handler.

We hired Caffi for a complete bathroom renovation and are delighted with the results. The workmen were very professional and had a welcome attention to detail. Caffi management (Joe Starkey and David Valdez) ensured that any issue that arose was addressed in a timely and appropriate way.

We had a back up in plumbing system which involved our toilet clogging and overflowing into the bathtub in our only main floor bathroom. Now this might not have been such an emergency if I didn't have a broken leg and was completely unable to use any of the other bathrooms in our house. Caffi's came out about 2 hours after we called. It took them several hours of hard (and gross work) and they had to take the toilet completely out and then reinstall it. David was really conscientious and even though it seemed as though the smaller snake/snake machine (?) took out the clog, he went to the extra effort of getting a second larger machine to get all the way to the main line to make sure we wouldn't have to call again in the morning if he hadn't really gotten everything out of there. David and his team were courteous, polite, up front and honest about everything they were doing.

They also took their time to really clean (sterilize) and dry everything from the bathroom to the front door. We were really impressed. It wasn't an inexpensive job but it was quality work.

My long-time plumber was retiring, so on the recommendation of neighbors, I called Caffi to get a quote on replacing two bathroom faucets, fix a running toilet, and add a water filtration system to the house. The plumber arrived on time and was pleasant. He assessed the faucet situation and the toilet but when we moved on to the water filtration system, we encountered a lot of issues--one being that he wanted to sell me a water softener instead of a filtration system and two, that he felt the need to tell me that most of the things that were still working in the boiler room should be replaced.

He charged me $79 for the estimate (which I was aware of up-front). I received only a partial estimate of the quested repairs-but it was so high I called another place and saved 40% on the quote.

Had a steady leaking faucet - handle wouldn't turn off the hot water. They called promptly in the morning. Robert arrived just when promised, and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Also showed me how to do it in case I wanted to do the cartridge replacement myself next time.

Had a door frame widened, new door put in and tile floor/doorjamb fixed by Caffi recently. They did a great job overall. On-time arrival, good detail and finishing on the paint, plaster, and tile work, good job cleaning up at the end of the day.

We've always had great service from Caffi. Patrick was no exception. He got to our house exactly on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, and gave us great advice. He saved us money AND fixed the problem. Thoroughly professional and honest.

My experiences with Caffi have been extremely positive. I had a problem with some of my water pipes freezing then bursting. This happened a couple times and was fixed by plumbers from companies other than Caffi. The last time I called Caffi and there plumber suggested I use pex pipe, a plastic hose similar to a garden hose and which expands rather than bursts when frozen. Since then I have had no burst pipes even though the pipes have twice frozen. Calling Caffi has saved me a lot of money through prevention of problems.

PRICE GOUGERS $75 for the guy to simply come out and take a look at the problem. Tried to charge $800 for a problem I had another honest plumber fix for $300. Dishonest price-gougers trying to take advantage of people's ignorance over plumbing issues. Avoid at all costs.

I foolishly asked them to replace my garbage disposal without asking for a quote over the phone. I already had the new part in hand so surely I thought it was just purely an installation job. I was quoted over $350 - installation ONLY. I could buy 3 garbage disposals! Of course, I was charged the $35 visit fee. I called other companies and nobody got close to that amount. R.S. Myers Service Company gave me a quote more than HALF that cost. I recommend them and regret going astray.

Terrible. Run now while you still have your wallet. Not only did my plumber not know what he was doing, he constantly kept looking at his price guide. Called him out to look at a leaky T fitting in my basement. My wife stayed home for the repairs. When he showed up and looked he said it wasn't the fitting. Said the problem was much further up. Said he will have to cut a hole in the wall upstairs and maybe the second level.

Then states it was $245 dollars per hole. Then said he probably needs to take the dishwasher out for $380. Plus another 800 to fix the leak. After all these price hits we decided not to go with them. The plumber kept pressuring my wife to do it though. Was extremely rude to her and talked to her like she didn't understand because she was a woman.

Finally he took the hint but tried another tactic. Said well let's take another look and then learned it was just leaking where we said even though he was about to rip out my dishwasher and put two holes in my wall. Horrible service. Go elsewhere

I called Caffi this morning to have someone come out and take a look at a little bit of standing water in my basement. They said there would be a $35 trip charge and I said fine - not unreasonable at all in my opinion. The guy who came out (Mike) was terrific; he checked out a couple different things, and gave me some options for next steps, not pushing anything overly much but leaving it in my hands.

The basic visit for $35 doesn't include anything advanced, and if I had wanted a more thorough inspection (e.g. to pull out my washer and check the connections), it would have cost more, potentially a lot more. But because the water had started to dry up and wasn't accumulating, I didn't pay the additional cost, and instead chose to chance it and see if it happens again / gets worse.

At the end of the day, for $35, I have a bit more confidence that it isn't a *major* problem, I have a better idea of what could have caused it, and I know who I'm going to call if it gets worse and I need repairs!

My very first Yelp review! Unfortunately, it's for poor service. I've used Caffi in the past because it's so close to my place. After getting a flier, I signed up for their seasonal maintenance plan and was given a four-hour window for my first appt. After sitting home for four hours, I called to see if there was some type of delay. Nope, the guy was minutes away from my house!

Except he wasn't. Two more hours later I called again. Their scheduler showed him as being at my place. Except he wasn't. So, six hours of sitting home waiting for someone who never showed up and whose company had no idea where he was. No thanks. Needless to say, I cancelled my contract and will go with a more reliable company.

Very pleased with their work. Very professional plumbers. Showed up on time. Estimate seemed high but what do I know: aren't all plumbers? The work was excellent, and I would call them again. Absolutely.

I was looking for a company that could help me remodel my bathroom. I live in Old Town Alexandria and they have one of their office station 5 minutes away. I came across Caffi Plumbing because one of my good friends Recommended them to me and also because i was so in love with they're new bathroom and kitchen. So i called them up! When the contractor came he was very friendly and very proffesional didn't go anywhere else in the house that he didn't need to go to.

He also was very respectful of my belongings and would ask me or suggest if we could move things before he worked. I was just so pleased by the work ethic of the man and not only the labor but my actual bathroom. I wanted everything tiled. I was just so amazed on how good a job they did and how great it looks. I would recommend Caffi. The only cons i would say is that, Yes! its a little pricey but if you want to pay cheap for something being made on your house then don't expect it to last and look Great! When it comes to Home Remodeling and fixing its not a cheap thing and it's better to get what you pay for. Other than that i would call them up.

One word: Horrible. Called to schedule an appointment to repair a dripping shower head. Was told there would be a $25 trip charge and then an estimate for the cost of the repair. Plumber arrived and quoted $158 to replace the handle cartridge (which is only 5 years old). I recommended that he pull the cartridge and examine the rubber washer. Plumber pulled the cartridge (which involved 2 screws, a wrench and 4 minutes).

The washer needed replacement, which he did. Reassembled everything and then charged me $183 for replacing the.05 washer. What? Called the company and was told, "I'm sorry you're unhappy, but he did quote you $158 and got your approval to proceed." Analogy is quoting me to replace 4 tires and then, when the tires are aired up and the problem solved, charging me for the 4 tires. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use them.

Ripoff city. I called them for a quote to replace my shower. They came out and took a look at it and quoted me $1,400 to replace the showerhead, handle and shower faucet. Of course they charged for the quote just like everyone does. I ended up having the work done by All Plumbing. They did a fantastic job, replacing all the shower components for $700. It's been about 4 months now and the shower is working perfectly.
