Long Pham briefly & clearly explained the tasks at hand. He & the accompanying Dwyer techs wasted no time removing the old water heater & AC system, & making way to install the new replacements. They completed the jobs in very good time & made their work sites as they found them. Before departing, Long Pham gave us a run-down on what had been accomplished & the opportunity to comment & ask any questions. Overall, it was a very professional job, very well done. We've been using Dwyer Plumbing for over 20 years & once again they fully met our expectations & the results were excellent.

We've used Dwyer for more than 10 years for all our plumbing and HVAC needs. When we had a significant leak in a pipe they came to replace it and we're thankful that they did. But they overcharged for the work. Their "helper" was on the phone the entire time but we were charged anyway. They tried to push a toilet replacement for $1400 even though the current toilet is fine. Mostly I'm disappointed with how much we were charged - over $1800 more than the estimate. Not good business when dealing with loyal customers.

Zach was very efficient and professional. He worked quickly, explained everything that needed to be done, and ensured I was satisfied with the service and repairs before accepting payment. I would highly recommend Dwyer. This was a very good experience and they are reasonably priced and high quality. Services: Garbage disposal repair, Drain cleaning

My AC went out and Dwyer was able to come out the same day. Ed, the technician was wonderful! He performed a check of the system and found the problem. Ed explained everything to me and showed me how he detected the problem, which gave me peace of mind. Unfortunately for me, the system requires a part and another visit, and Dwyer called within a couple of hours to tell me they could come back the next day to do the fix! So responsive to their customers, polite, efficient, professional - kudos and thanks to Dwyer - and especially Ed!

Have been using Dwyer for twenty years, and until recently the service was fine. The last two times were terrible. On one occasion they we had a had a plumbing emergency and they scheduled us, then no-showed, so we had to go with a different company. Most recently, we had them install a new toilet. We specified the brand and model number that we wanted.
After it was installed we noticed that it did was not the right model number, and was a less expensive model with a smaller tank, although we were charged for the model that we had asked for. They were very unresponsive when we called, and after a week of unreturned phone calls we finally spoke to a manager, who claimed that we had gotten the toilet we asked for, but that the provider had changed model numbers.
We asked for documentation that this was the case but they were not able to provide any. This company has really gone downhill. We will not be using them in the future and we do not recommend them.

We've used Dwyer for years for our heat pump -- and they always do a great job -- and this was minor by comparison. We had new toilets installed two years ago by someone other than Dwyer (our one time), and they did it wrong on one and broke a screw so the toilet wasn't seated properly -- and it eventually broke. So this time, we called Dwyer and Eddie was super-professional, on time, and did a nice job and cleaned up well. Everything's fixed now and we're happy.

I can't express how grateful we are to Dwyer and their skilled team. They have been our first call for nearly two decades. I'm not one to write Yelp reviews but the last year has presented multiple challenges and Eddie in particular has simply saved us. He's calm (when I'm not), empathetic and solution-focused. He's also very good at diagnosing complex issues (he's been right all of the time!) I greatly appreciate his diligent, thoughtful work and follow-up. Plumbing issues can be really stressful so his job knowledge and overall care really stand out. Thank you Dwyer! You'll continue to be our first and only call.

This was the first time using Dwyer, and Morris came out to the house very soon after the call. He was polite, knowledgeable, and just great. He solved the problem quickly. Absolutely amazing, and we appreciated it since we were without heat in winter temps. Will definitely stay with Dwyer! Service: Heating system repair

Dwyer Plumbing, Heating & Air has serviced three (3) homes for myself and my wife (our townhouses before we married and our current home) and the service has been exemplary. The technicians are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. From fixing a toilet to installing a new water service to our home, Dwyer has tackled anything and everything we have asked them to do.
How confident or we with Dwyer? Even though we have a home warranty, Dwyer is our first call if we have any HVAC/plumbing problems and they provide us our HVAC maintenance on a twice a year basis. We have never had an issue to answering "Dwyer" to that age old question "Do you know a plumber/HVAC worth a damn." I feel the need to add that we recently received a postcard from Dwyer about gas fireplace services and we immediately booked an appointment for maintenance and an estimate for an upgrade.
The crew did a fantastic job! Were very clean, courteous and knowledgeable. They not only cleaned and checked the entire system, they even fixed the "instant on" wall switch that NEVER worked before! They also provide a replacement estimate but assured us that our current is working perfectly fine. Considering how much trouble we had finding someone to do the above work, we are very grateful for Dwyer expanding their services and would recommend them once again to anyone who asks.

Just the most excellent plumbing service I have ever had. They quickly identify problems, tell me what needs to be fixed and exactly how much repairs would cost. Also offer alternative fixes and explain the pros and cons of any procedure. They are completely frank and very honest and ALL work they have done has been top notch Services: Repair AC, AC maintenance, Installation

Dwyer has been our go-to service for HVAC and plumbing needs at our home for about twenty years. Reliable, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable, I can always count on them in any situation. Recently, we finally had to confront an issue with the sewer line under our house. Because our home is built on a slab, that made diagnosing and repairing the problems even more challenging than normal. Edward and his crew took great pains to examine the line with state of the art equipment, then communicated the action plan clearly in terms I could easily understand.
The line turned out to be broken in three separate locations, which required a lot of digging into the floor of our kitchen and one hallway. Edward and his crew worked tirelessly and made every effort to minimize the disruptive effects of such a major repair. Now I can once again use all the house plumbing with complete confidence. I am very pleased with how Dwyer handled this difficult situation.

The job was to fix our toilet that had become quite slow to refill itself. It was easy to schedule on line. (It wasn't an emergency.) The repair man was prompt and clear. The repair was pricey but a quality job with replacement of the primary internal elements. The toilet has been working fine since he left.

I have used Dwyer before and I am always pleased with their services. The technicians are prompt, knowledgeable, and personable. They arrive on-time, as promised. This time with my ac estimate and repair was no different. The first technician Matt came for the estimate. He showed me how to set the ac dampers to cool the top floor, which was too warm for sleeping.
He even drew a diagram for me. Danny was great in getting my repairs completed as promised. He cleaned up the work area very well. My only complaint about this service is that no one told me the new condenser in the yard would be twice (or more) the size of the previous. I had no notice that I needed to adjust my landscaping to accommodate the new equipment. It's covering some of my flowers and decorative rocks. I would have removed them before the service call, had I known about the larger size.

7/15/2021 Good guys, prompt and efficient and very understanding and willing to work with me about accessing everything. Very patient - was more than willing to shut the loud vacuum down when I got an important call, could not have been friendlier. Took their time at each vent and obviously cared about the work, and they didn't leave a mess behind (even helped put things back I had moved to help.) As to the overall effect of the duct cleaning, time will tell, but I can find no fault with the men doing the work - good people.
I also looked into their air scrubber / UV light disinfectant installation for killing germs and cutting down on dust in the house - while I passed on the installation this time, I was happy to see they use the model that uses (much) less ozone and meets all of California's higher standards for air quality production, even though this was in VA. Overall very pleased with the service and will contact them again when in need. Thanks!

From the moment I called to ask for a tech, to the installation And completion every member of the Dwyer Team was professional and caring! They were able to get a tech out to me in less than 3 hours, and did within the next business day were installing our brand new HVAC system! They were so kind and professional and even gave our dogs some petting, and were so patient while I handled the two kids, and reviewed quotes with my husband! We have used them multiple times in the past and will continue to use them! They're always there with a positive attitude when you need them!

Hired Dwyer to replace our old heat pump, and they did a good job! Competitive price for good Trane equipment (we did some shopping around, and the manager that came to do the quote was really helpful and friendly and answered many of our first-time homeowner questions). Installation was quick and they kept our space very clean, but something was installed incorrectly because the cooling function did not work a few days later, so we had to have someone come out to diagnose the issue and order the part, and someone else come out to do the repair. It's been working beautifully in the hot weather since, and the Nest they installed for us is working great. Minus one star for a few steamy days inside the house after the initial installation, but their staff was very responsive and I'd trust them to accurately diagnose HVAC issues! Pleased with our choice of Dwyer.

Do not ever use this company. They are unscrupulous and deceptive. I used them for 4 or 5 years; last fall i called them to caulk the area around my bathroom countertop. A few months later, I found that the caulking was cracking and splitting and had air holes in it. I called and they sent someone else. He told me that the previous person had not used waterproof caulking.
He re-caulked it. I was stunned to see later that i had been charged for the re-caulking. I called Dwyer to complain and was told someone in the business department would get back to me. Needless to say, that didn't happen. Played phone tag with someone for a week or so and gave up. After this incident, i remembered that when Dwyer replaced my hot water heater last fall, i didn't have hot water in my shower the next day. Dwyer rep came and fixed the problem, but said that unfortunately it had nothing to do with the water heater they had just replaced and they would have to charge me for the service. They are scumbags. If you use them, they will rip you off too. Avoid them!

We've used Dwyer 3 times so far, and every interaction has been awesome. Nobody likes to have to call in a plumber, but they've become our go-to business for our plumbing needs. We've interacted with Najib and Eddie who serviced our home on all 3 occasions - both guys are awesome. Scheduling has always been a piece of cake. Their scheduler will call and update you to let you know if there is a change in plans.
The technician will call you in advance to notify you of their arrival. With COVID, they're respectful of social distancing and mask-wearing. They've always told me upfront what I would be charged so that I'm not blindsided. They've also suggested some cost-effective/cost-savings options which I REALLY appreciate. While the service prices seem steep, I acknowledge I am not a plumbing expert, and I'd rather trust in their experts who have a proven track record for services and friendly customer service provided in my home.

My home heating system stopped working so I called Dwyer becauseI had such a good experience with their repair of my air conditioning system a couple of years ago. The technician, Tom Goldsmith, came out to my house promptly. Tom was very knowledgeable and experienced (40 years!) and he was a very nice, personable guy. He fixed my system in short order and answered all of my questions about the system, the part that failed, and how the system worked. In short, he did a great job. Tom earns 5 stars and so does Dwyer for employing such smart, technically competent, and experienced technicians!

So happy with Dwyer Plumbing. We are on a twice-a-year inspection contract and we just had our spring check-up today. In spite of the lock-downs and isolation, our guy came right out on the early side of the "window, " which is nice. (Also got a call when he was on his way saying he would arrive in 10 minutes. Seems like a small thing but we home owners really appreciate that.) We feel they are honest and they are certainly reliable. We have not regretted changing to Dwyer years ago. Thank you, Dwyer!

We've been customers for 10+ years and love these guys! Got our heat pump -- a water-source heat pump which is unusual for a condominium -- 8+ years ago and have had it serviced by them ever since. Recently got new toilets: great choice, good price, perfect installation by Sylvester and Calvin. Over the last few years we've seen more Dwyer vans and fewer competitors' vans in our complex as neighbors have switched to Dwyer.

Dwyer charged my elderly mom $3,200 for a new 50 gallon hot water heater, when I called them, they said she agreed to it! No complications, in and out, a routine service call, outrageous! Price gauging! I'm going to contact the office on aging, then get legal assistance but I sure hope people wake up! I suggest Angieslist! If you want to throw money out the window call them! Their reply to our review just a bunch of excuses, Dwyer takes advantage of elderly people!

Wish I'd read the Yelp reviews instead of other sites before calling this service. Makes me wonder about those other review sites. Totally agree about the outrageous pricing and you're put in a tough situation once they are in your house, you took the day off from work, you need the repair, and have no time to weigh options. Their pricing model is a flat fee per service plus a $65 service fee.
They charged me nearly $200 for a service that took at most 15 minutes and resulted in no appreciable improvement -- snaking my shower drain. Do not recommend -- definitely will not be using again.

Absolutely terrible. Part was supposed to take 3-5 days to arrive; after 8 days of waiting I contacted them, and they said our part had made it and they would install the following day. Come the following day I get a phone call, telling us that they could not fix our unit today because they had another clients part and not ours. THEY FORGOT TO ORDER OUR PART. EIGHT DAYS WAS NOT ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THAT THEY DIDNT ORDER IT, AND THEY HAD THE GUTS TO TELL US THAT WE COULD PLACE A RUSH ORDER NOW FOR 170 EXTRA BUCKS. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!
So I have to pay extra for your mistake and poor customer follow up? My wife contacted them, all she got was a reply: we are too busy now, we will contact you later. NEVER REACHED OUT TO HER. After complaining they got the piece the next day and came to install it and gave us a 100 dollar discount, it still cost us $1300. In Summary, shop around, this once reputable company does not care about you overheating in your house with a toddler and pet for 9 days, and are overpriced. I guess they are too busy with other customer.

I used them for a rental property and they promised to call me before any work is done but guess what no call?!?!? After the work is done they call for payment and it's $500. Where is the heads up! I'm really disappointed because I asked them to call before any work was done multiple times. For $500 I could have installed a new toilet. Come on your technicians need some common sense.

In good faith to the actual plumber that serviced our kitchen sink, I gave this review 2 stars instead of 1. I had a stuck retainer ring on a kitchen sink cartridge that had to be replaced. All parts were shipped and available prior to the start of the job under the manufacturers warranty, so this was a quick labor-only exercise that was described in full over the phone.
Of course, the $69.95 assessment fee was mentioned and agreed to, as this is the normal part of the robbery process to get someone to "assess" what is already known. Why the bad score? Count me in with all of the other reviews about the unfair pricing models. The bean counters that run this organization make the plumbers choose from a rip-off menu of tasks instead of simply billing by the hour in straightforward fashion.
The company tacked on a full "sink repair" all-inclusive fee on top of the ill-gotten $69.95 show-up fee, despite there being two turns of a wrench for a job that lasted 30 minutes at most. The office manager offered to take a paltry $20 off the bill, but this was priced so unfairly from the starting point that I asked to escalate. Now we get the owner, Dan.
I explained that I've used his company several times before and never once pushed back on the bill, but this was a bridge too far. If not for his condescending and uncompromising attitude while holding firm on his unfair pricing practices, this would have easily been a 5 star review with a happy returning customer, but neither will be the case.
Should have known better than to even bother with him having read previous reviews on his demeanor when pricing concerns are initiated. Again, kudos to the plumber for his great work ethic and enduring such wonderful management day in and day out. This extra star is for you, good sir!

Our house was on the market and the prospective buyers wanted to have a plumber come to inspect the sewer pipe. They sent in Kesterson who came in with a black and white camera with terrible resolution. The plumber kept saying how "bad" the pipe was as he was feeding the camera down. The buyers wanted us to replace the entire sewer line. Instead we called Dwyer for a second opinion.
They came with state of the art equipment.a color camera with high resolution as well as an experienced technician. Our pipe was in fact in great condition. They had us over a barrel and could have told us it was bad in order to sell us a new sewer system. Instead they were completely honest and issued a report saying the truth! Highly recommend their team.

Poor communication practices and will charge you for work without telling you the cost upfront. We had Dwyer Plumbing come out because we had water coming through our recessed lighting in the kitchen from the bathroom upstairs. We were told it would be a $69 service fee when I explained the issue on the phone (they knew it had to be a leak issue, I mean water was coming from my ceiling from the bathroom into the kitchen).
The 2 techs came out and went straight to the bathroom and started looking for the leak. When after 10 minutes they identified that it was a caulking issue with the shower handle, the tech told us it would be $180. I was confused because I had been quoted $69 on the phone and we hadn't approved any other work. Then the tech says, "oh the leak search fee is $110." (What was the service fee for then?) I was not happy to not be given the opportunity to turn down such a pricey fee.
I assumed the service fee would include examining the situation and we would be informed of any additional charges for work before they completed them. I called the office and requested to talk to the manager and have now left a message and still have not received a callback. If you have them come out, be sure that you make it clear that you are paying only $69 for them to come out and they need to inform you of any other fees BEFORE doing the work for them.
I just didn't like not having the opportunity to turn down the charge for the "leak search". I would be very careful if you have them out as to ensure that they don't touch or look at anything until you verify the cost. I've never had a plumber come out and not make sure that I was o.k. with a cost before doing work or any additional inspection not covered by the "service fee"--which they clearly need another name for at Dwyer because it's a "walk in your door fee" it appears. They were at my house for maybe 20-30 minutes and it cost us $180.

We called Dwyer to address 2 leaking shower faucets and a slow flowing sink. They were there in a timely manner. They replaced 2 flat washers and replaced a sink aerator - a $5 part. The plumber was there about 45 minutes and was very competent. We received a bill for almost $500! He wasn't THAT competent! We called the company and spoke to the owner who said this is what everyone charges for this fix.
He would not reduce the fee to a normal reasonable charge. He has lost our family's business and our commercial business. This was the most expensive appointment he has had. Sadly, Dwyer Plumbing appears to have lost its sense of shame. There are clearly better choices out there.

I called Dwyer because there was water coming in the basement window of a rental property I own. It was an emergency call, and one of their guys (Xavi( went out that night and left a pump that he said would fix the problem until he could do a more permanent fix. Unfortunately, Xavi didn't test it. An hour after Xavi left, the tenant tried to make it work and it was inoperative.
I called Xavi, and Xavi confirmed that he had never tested the pump he left. Xavi came back out the next day and installed a permanent fix. I was charged $325($105 for the emergency service call and $220 for the non-functional pump that Xavi left) for the emergency call and $630 for the permanent fix. I called Dwyer and spoke to a manager; I said I was very happy to pay the $630 for the permanent fix and I'd even happily pay the $105 emergency service call for the night before, but I shouldn't have to pay for the pump that Xavi never even tested and didn't work when it was needed.
The manager I spoke to literally laughed at me. So I've disputed the charge on the credit card. Dwyer didn't provide the service they are charging me for, so if they want that $220, they're gonna have to work a little harder for it.

I called Dwyer because they were well rated by neighbors in my condo community. Despite it being a hot day in July, Dwyer could accommodate me with a same day appointment. I called at 10; they said they would be there between 10 and 2; and they showed up around noon (with a 20 minute heads up phone call to tell me they were on the way). That alone is good service for busy people.
The service technician Cosmo was polite and competent. He added refrigerant and seems to have fixed the problem! Thank you Cosmo. It was $89 for a diagnostic call plus $70 per pound for the refrigerant. The total was $222 after a new customer discount.

I have a love/hate relationship with Dwyer, and I've used them for both AC and plumbing. First, the positives. Dwyer's employees have always been responsive, friendly, and kind. Scheduling an appointment has always been a breeze, and they've always been able to get to my house either on the same-day or the next-day. Their work has always been excellent, as far as I can tell. Second, the--very big--negative.
Their plumbing prices are outrageous. I don't know if they use solid gold for things like valves, but they might as well for the price they charge. They came to my house to take care of three things underneath my kitchen sink. I did the math and I ended up paying the plumber the equivalent of $1200/hour for something that I should have just done with an hour of my time and a $10 part.
If their plumbing prices are the industry standard, then I need to reevaluate my life choices and take up plumbing. This would be a 5-star company without the negatives for cost.

I recently used Dwyer Plumbing to service a failed AC system. They were responsive and did the job, but when it came to the bill I couldn't get a straight answer on how they came up with the number. First it was hourly, then a flat fee of $1500 (to replace the circuit board and blower motor -- under warranty), then finally $1100. Even after talking to the service manager twice and the owner once, I couldn't get an answer about hourly rates (if the bill was based on per-hour charges) or average repair times (if the bill was based on fee-per-serivce), and I was told by both the service manager and by the owner that either method of billing was used!
When I sent a letter asking for clarification on their billing practices, they threatened to send it to collections. Dwyer Plumbing seems to be just making up numbers, hiding their true service costs, and hoping consumers won't look too closely at the bill.
