My toilet was not flushing or draining. I couldn't budge it with a toilet plunger. I called Drain Runner Plumbing. They arrived in less than an hour, and were very thorough and methodical in their exploration of the problem. They explored the drain pipes. They removed the toilet and carried it to the front yard and inspected it carefully, showing me what they were seeing and finding.

They eventually came to the surprising conclusion that the toilet itself is defective, and reviewed with me the supporting evidence. The lead plumber was amazing: smart, logical, educated, good communicator. They recommended that I talk to the contractor who installed it a few months ago because it is almost certainly still under warranty, and it is a good brand (Toto).

The bill was less than $100. I moved to Carlsbad from a much more expensive city up north, and when he first quoted a price I thought I heard a number that was somewhat under $1000, but I didn't scream because I thought that's what plumbers charged. Not this one.

They replaced my toilet without trying to upsell me. It means a lot when you don't have to worry in an already frustrating situation. I highly recommend.

The apartment complex I live at recently got work done from Drain Runners Plumbing. The owner Scott does more talking than working. It's an all day thing. There were long delays in our apartment getting done because of this and poor delegation/management. Also, the way he talks down to his employees on site is crazy considering his experience and the problems his company caused for the complex by his own hand.

When mentioning issues we were having with water being nearly too hot to shower in, Scott shrugged off our issue and blamed the sun for heating our underground piping. We did not have this same issue with our past underground plumbing. He is not receptive to the feedback his customers give him. They are still fixing up after Drain Runners Plumbing to this day. I wouldn't use them if I had the choice to again.

I've done quite a few plumbing projects in my home (originally found them through my insurance company) and Drain Runner has done a phenomenal job. They have been professional, prompt, fair, knowledgable, and more than accommodating. I feel that they truly have my best interests at heart, which is a lot more than I can say about many other companies in this field.

They always go the extra mile and take care of their clients. I know I'm in good hands with them. Selling my home and needed to get a requested drain scope. Drain runner came out and scoped the drains for any roots or debris with their high tech camera. They showed me where they thought there might be issues and recommended a hydro blast and a clean out in the front of my house. They scheduled the work and gave me a detailed estimate. On the three visits (scope, hydro, clean out) their guys were on time, very polite, and left the place cleaner than when the came. I would recommend Drain Runner 10/10. Thank You for everything!

I was super impressed with Scott. i hired an cutrate plumber and ended up with a ceiling leak. i had to do a huge repair and didnt want more problems. scott came over and knocked it out in 10 minutes. i wish i would have used him from the beginning i would have saved a bunch of money and time fixing the unlicensed plumbers screwups! he ls a lifelong plumber business owner and not someone that works for someone else and moon lights. plumbing is his business. i hired an amatuer plumber to save money and ended up costing me x10 more! thank you scott u saved some arguments with the wife and made me look less stoopid

Wow is all I can say. Im a salon owner and had three other plumbing companies come in and try and figure out how they are going to do the job. I used Drain Runner to snake my main sewer line as well as hydro jet it (with a camera). The first time I called them it was after hours. I left a voicemail and to my surprise, I got a call back about 30min later (around 8pm) assuring me they'd have someone out first thing the next day. The gentleman they sent out was polite, professional, and had been working in the industry for a long time.

When they came out later to hydrojet, that team of guys was extremely thorough. They checked every sewer clean out, and spent the time doing a very thorough job. They too were very professional and genuinely nice guys. Communication, results, nice people -- highly recommend.

I met Scott from Drain Runner Plumbing at my BNI Chapter in Carlsbad. He gave a very informative presentation for the group that really drove home the fact that this man knows his stuff. I worked in the plumbing department of a local hardware store for several years (years ago) and thought I knew a lot about plumbing. Scott's knowledge far surpasses anything I knew.
