Balkan Sewer & Water Main Service

George from Balkan Sewer + Water Main Service came to perform a sewer cleaning. I put in the call today and got same day service. He was thorough, professional and helpful. George took his time to do the job right and ended up staying for 2.5 hours! The last time he came to perform the same service was in 2015 when water backed up into my basement due to heavy rains.

I did not experience any flooding for three years straight thanks to George. I highly recommend him and Balkan for your plumbing needs. The company is honest and the prices are fair.

I was referred to Balkan by a family member that had a good experience with them. My experience was excellent. Their receptionist that initially took my call was very pleasant, took down the details of my issues, and scheduled a specialist, George, to come to the site. George clearly has vast experience and was determined to solve our drain issues.

He did a spectacular job. This is one of those situations where calling the right company the first time around saved me time, money, and aggravation. We're grateful. Highly recommended!

I was having issues with a clogged pipe and my toilets would not flush properly. Called Balkan Plumbing after seeing their online reviews and it was the best decision ever! Quick to schedule an appointment, came on time, explained what the issue was to me in terms I can understand, how to prevent it in the future, and my toilets were working properly by the end of their appointment. 10/10 - would recommend to my friends, family, and neighbors. Their professionalism is unmatched!

Can't believe how disgusting and unprofessional these people are. Avoid at all cost! I sincerely think they are running a scam with insurance to falsify reasons why your issue is not covered. Delovan who came to my house didn't even properly assess the issue before determining it was an internal "issue". They gave us a morning window for an emergency situation and didn't come until 3pm.

When he explained to him that we had our plumber come and Roto Rooters come and they all explained it was a sewer issue he said he would get his snake and do the job. He went outside and drove off and never returned. How professional is that? His supervisor called me back shortly thereafter and wouldn't even give me an opportunity to speak and said it's not "her issue" and told me that I must have done my plumbing "illegally" and told me to call my plumber before she disconnected the line on me. They are disgusting! Avoid! Avoid!

I had a problem with the waterline in my home and called Balkan after seeing glowing reviews by many other customers. Glad I did so! The team was very helpful in getting a technician out quickly, and he explained what he did as he was fixing the problems. Will absolutely be calling them for any future plumbing and waterline repairs!

The quality of work done by the technician was good; however; preceding the communication of doing the work needs to be reviewed. On the customer's end in terms of locating the technician arrival time was different than dispatch and caused disparaged in communication lines on various levels from the business side. I believe when putting forth service if it be by communication prior to arrival, in explaining the causes or in actually performing the job.

There should always be high priority customer provided- to guarantee satisfaction. I was disappointed in the level of communication that was handled in a business sense in terms of giving clear direction of dispatch, which should have been done in a more professional manner on a whole. I would suggest more training in this area of staff with developing good people skills in addition to providing superb customer service with the ultimate goal of being of service for the homeowners and in combination of producing effective quality work ethics.

At first we were upset because it appears that they might not be able to make the appointment because of an emergency. However, when the young lady we were talking to saw how upset we were she worked hard to get us someone ( Miguel) to come late that evening. Miguel came to us from the Bronx and immediately put us at ease. Then he worked very hard to snake and remove the clog, and cleared the roots all the way to the street. It was late, and he was obviously exhausted but it did not stop him from being extremely nice and working so hard. I give him a 10 out of 10.

I had some potential issues with the sewer line so I called Balkan based on online reviews. They were quick to reply. They sent over an inspector the next day to evaluate possible causes. Delovan, the technician came a few days later. He came first thing in the morning and on-time. He opened up the traps. He also had me run the water and flush the toilet a few times.

He showed me how the water was flowing very smoothly and that I don't have any clogs. He did make sure that the trap wasn't clogged. He said I don't need anything further. Was charged a small service fee. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. They sent out text messages every step of the way so they appear to have a very organized operation, which is great. Next time there's a problem, I'll be sure to ask for Delovan!

If you use this service ask for George, you will not be disappointed! George came after Ida to see why we were the only home on the block to get flooded. Not only did he stay until we got to the bottom of the issue but he also took the time to explain exactly what went wrong to each member of the house. He fixed the issue and gave us peace- of- mind by also testing out his theory while he was there.

He treated us like we were old time friends of his and truly put in more effort and time then any plumber we have ever had. He spent the time in our home fixing, explaining and helping solve this issue so that we could avoid flooding with the rain coming the following day. Although I hope we don't need to call again soon if I did I would only want George to be the one sent out to my home to fix it. Thank you George for brilliant and kind service!

I'm pleased with the prompt response of Balkan Pluming. Delovan one of their technicians came into my house courteously and prepared to solve my backup sewage problem. The problem is solved. However, Delovan informed me that if the problem was to occurred again to not hesitate to contact Balkan Pluming a business always prepared and equipped to assist me.

Brian took the time to explain how things work with the pipes underneath my basement. He did an awesome job snaking, cleaning and making me feel safe. Without a doubt I will use Balkan again to help keep our pipes clean and in good hands.

Very professional and informative. I had a sewage stoppage which caused the pipes in the basement to overflow with feces and God knows what else. Chris walked in the basement and took one look and knew what the issue was. He went to the garage to find the trap. Once he found which pipes were giving the issue he removed everything that was causing the stoppage. It took around 15-20 to resolve my issue. They also provided me a tracker on the time in which he would arrive to render the service. Just great!

I had a drainage problem and I contacted Balkan in hope of getting George, who as you can see per other reviews, is amazing. Balkan was able to send George same day and despite certain difficulties with the job at hand, George was quick to find a solution and deploy all his years of experience as a plumber into practice. Not only did George do a great job unclogging my drain, he also made the whole experience educational and gave me a couple of good laughs. Good vibes and great service! Definitely contacting Balkan to service my sewer line moving forward and hopefully George comes around. George is an asset to the company.

Company completed broken main water line work quickly. However concrete repair took some time to complete. Not sure if concrete repair will last. Crew returned and patch concrete holes.
