I tore out lower ceiling of my tri-level for the shower repair. For $180 guy silicone sealed the external shower faucet upstairs, said that was it. Daughter moved in and used the shower, leaked again. Kimco said next day to talk with tech. Next day need one more day. 4 days later called me back and asked if I STILL needed help, like the leak was going away on its own!. I had already got another service to fix it. Poor customer relations, unless you are a new paying customer.

Wow! I guess times have changed. Kimco Plumbing is GREAT! They've done everything for us from our kitchen remodel, to installing a water pressure booster and hot water tank, to emergency repairs - and they've always been timely and spot on their estimates! Bill is great - as are the rest of his employees - and the ladies at the front desk have always been friendly and polite! Maybe that's because I'm friendly and polite to them - I'm just saying!

We have used Kimco about 3 times over 5 years. First episode was for broken pipe. They fixed it and did great work. Second episode, can't recalls specifics, but it was fixed and we were satisfied. Now comes our third encounter - We have a water heater that stopped working. No hot water = no shower = dirty family. We called them, they came out right away.
Great we were thinking! They spent 5 minutes. Seriously, 5 minutes. Pulled a drain pipe cover, water poured out, they recovered drain and Voila - hot water! Or so we thought. Every few days, the same thing keeps recurring, no hot water, error code (fancy computerized tankless system) and guess what. Their little trick didn't fix it. Obviously, the water was backing up for something other than a stupid drain.
So we paid 140 bucks for 5 minutes of work. Because you have to pay for the whole hour regardless of how long repair takes. So we called them again - um, hello, your little maneuver didn't FIX anything that we paid you 140 bucks for. So will they come out and make their first "repair" correct by actually diagnosing and REPAIRING the underlying issue called "need to replace the valve". Nope, not without paying the 140 bucks again. Didn't even offer any discount or apologies for our grievances.
Terrible customer service. You should make right what you didn't fix in the first place! We have found a reputable plumber who ensures their work and will make it right THE FIRST TIME!

We have had Kimco do several jobs and have been satisfied with all of their work. Although their rates are higher than other local plumbers we wanted to stick with them. Unfortunately, they have now lost us as customers. We needed our back flow system checked and asked them how much they charged for this service. They told us the rate was $35. We thought wow that is $5 less than the other company that we have previously used so we went ahead and scheduled it.
After they came and checked the system they handed us a bill for $140! We asked why and the plumber said there was also a $95 service fee. I called to complain. The response was that they have to pay their workers and we had even gotten a deal because it should of been $125 plus the $35! I told them we were not told this amount when we asked and they said sorry but won't do anything to make you happy.
We called Swift plumbing and they charge $78. There is also a list provided by the water district with many names of individuals who will do the same service for $35 - $45. We will not be a returning customer.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. I figured according to their website and call that diagnosis of a clog could be done. They were certainly able to verify that there was a clog issue (which we had figured and was why they were called in the first place) but then could not do anything about it so I needed to call another service. They did replace a wax ring and did a nice job on that so all was not lost except the $120.00 bill. Anyway, I think that they would be fine to use for other things like remodels or new construction but I would check with others if you suspect that a clog is the problem.
Another positive that has nothing to do with my service call. They are a local company that is active in Poulsbo events. They are a good corporate citizen which is another reason to consider them.
