This course meets all the requirements for renewing a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester's license. The second day provides the 8 hours of 'Practical Skills' training that is required by the TCEQ and the third day students practice advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques.
This course provides the 8 hours of practical skills (hands-on) training required by TCEQ every three years for licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers. This is a refresher course that allows attendees to practice testing and troubleshooting procedures on separated practice stations with backflow assemblies that are interchangeable by the students themselves.

The first day is Fundamentals of Backflow Prevention, second day Practical Skills (Hands On), and third day Advanced Troubleshooting/Repair. A USC 10th edition manual and free gauge certification at time of course, are provided.

This is the place to go. Instructors are knowledgeable and very helpful. Once I was done I was 100% confident and ready for the written exam and passed on the first try. Even after I got my license they have continued to offer support including gauge calibration, continuing education, and will even answer questions I have when I am out in the field. Spoiler Alert: Hands on learning, you will get wet.

I'm getting licensed thru TCEQ to test backflow preventers. I researched for the best class available with the highest passing rates. This is definitely the Harvard of Backflow Licensing Courses! Not to mention in a day & age of corporate behemoths this is a caring and concerned family owned business. Everyone going thru their class gets personal phone numbers for questions in the field and becomes a part of the Baird Family. There's not one company training employees to test backflow testing like this anywhere in the world. We need more companies for technical workers like this company. Ten stars!

Very impressed with this outfit. Few things I observed that were better than other facilities. 1) Started on time. 2) Prepared for the day with assigned materials. 3) Three instructors through-out the day to assist, instruct, and answer questions. 4) Instructors were proficient in their field of study. 5) Training materials were professional laid and ready to go.
Over the 20 years of training, this was the best facility and staff I've come across. The night before I had a question regarding enrollment. They had a service answer my call and shortly afterwards received a call with the answers to my questions. You'll also observe the 6 other "non recommended" reviews are all 5 stars. Great job guys, keep up the good work.

Best course to go for the 40Hr BPAT, very comprehensive, instructors are great they teach you how to speak backflow. I'd recommend them over anyone else. I got the bundle pack with the gauge. The instructors cut to the chase they don't talk the entire time about their stories. The time they spend on hands on is what make their class the best. Thanks Troy & Fred.

After finding a class closer to where the employee lives I called to see about getting a refund. The class isn't for another 3 weeks. The lady who called me back, SANDRA, was shockingly rude. It literally left me in shock that something so abrasive and unwarranted would happen unrevoked. I felt like I was being scolded by my parents for canceling and wanting a refund for a class.
It doesn't make sense to pay more, travel further, and have additional expenses for a hotel when I found a reputable training locally. She forcefully asked me why I was cancelling, then proceeded to mock my decision to a peer while on the phone with me. I explained the class was in Houston and I found a class closer to Austin. She proceeded to mock the instructor I was going to, as well as my decision.
She said, "oh ya she wants to cancel, taking up a spot all that time and NOW she wants a refund. ::PFF:: ya you'll get a refund. (other company's name) ::UGH::" (in a condescending tone) After I asked a clarifying question about where the receipt would be sent she wouldn't answer. "You'll get a refund from the web." "Okay I am not sure what that means. Does that normally come via email, if so which email?" "I don't know.
You will get your refund" and HUNG UP while laughing in the background. What's so shocking is this lady was audibly older woman. She should have learned by now in her old age how to treat people. It was very unbecoming and I will NEVER use them again. Look into other vendors in the area, cheaper and MUCH nicer!
