Big State Plumbing Services

I want to say thank you to GM Carl Boyd and Big State Plumbing. Sunday, March 3/13/2022 they answered my service request unfortunately the tech didn't figure out my issue but yet charged me $605.00. I was not happy this and had to call a different plumbing company to fix the situation which costed me more money. Today, Carl Boyd called me and informed me they are going to refund me my money.

I appreciate the kind gesture and his understanding to the issue. Big State Plumbing thank you. I wont hesitate to recommend or call you in the future because I now know, i can trust you and you stand behind your work. Thank you, very much!

Worst worst company totally unprofessional, took my down payment money ($1.500 one year ago ) did not perform agreed job, made up countless excuses every week about technician been sick or used excuses of the day to keep rescheduling me over and over and over.stay away from this company. TOTALLY SCAMERS

I guess my money for renting a porta potty is not worth anything to this company. I've had a porta potty rented for about 5 months now and everything was fine up until the past month or so. I haven't had it serviced in over a month, it is so disgusting and smells on the whole property. I had no problem the first couple of weeks because it had been raining and we rarely used it all but after so long and because of this heat there is now worms and the smell is unbearable.

I have been calling almost every day for the past week or so and all I keep getting is fake promises and excuses that they cannot come out. I am getting it picked up now and looking for another company to rent one from. And the restroom was rarely getting any use (no one lives On The property) but 5 weeks is to long.

So disappointed with our experience with Big State Plumbing. Given the winter storm situation, we like many others had a busted main line. We were able to schedule an appointment with Big State and were anxious to have our problem repaired. My husband had temporarily fixed the line until it could be professionally repaired. The tech came out and replaced one foot of copper line with pex.

The total time at our house was less than 30 minutes. To our dismay our bill was $378 and the invoice showed we were charged for restoring the water distribution system for up to 10 feet of pex. When speaking with the owners (assuming there had to be a mistake) and asking for an itemized receipt they stated they only charged flat fees. I can understand trip charges, etc., but that wasn't even shown on the receipt and we are five minutes away from this business. This company definitely doesn't take care of their so-called "hometown".

Loved how quick they were able to respond. I messaged the company around 10pm got a response in less than 5 min. I was able to have Morgan come out the following morning. We scheduled an appointment for Saturday and the job was finished by noon. Jacob was very straightforward and a funny guy. Appreciated his sense of humor and liked how simple he explain to me what was wrong and how to prevent future problems. (He also recommended another way to set up my air gap that will work better than the current set up) Lastly, LOVED the SMS marketing the company sent out before both guys came to my home. Made me feel safe that I was able to see who was coming to my home before even meeting them.

Required to pay $99 upfront to lock is a visit sometime around 5pm tech didn't arrive until 9pm. He didn't bring all necessary equipment to finish the hub so had to run back to the off to get a medium auger. Thanks goodness the office is in the same town. It's now 11:10 pm and he's still trying to unplug the toilet not impressed so far.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Alfred and this company. First off, they sent a text stating my technician would be arriving in X minutes along with a photo and information about him. Im 9 months pregnant at home alone and I felt very comfortable having him in the home with his level of professionalism. Secondly, it took Alfred a few hours to determine the issue.

Each time he started a new "plan B" he clearly explained what he was doing and the what if's that came with it. Alfred went above and beyond by checking out the AC unit in the attic and unclogging it when our Ac company hadn't done a proper job. He also kindly spoke with my insurance adjuster explaining everything that was over my head. Although my leak was not related to the pipes, It didn't bother me at all paying Big State Plumbing to diagnose given their extremely thorough job. Would definitely recommend! ALSO! He vacuumed up the mess from the dry wall and even offered to sweep & vacuum for me.

Got there before the promised time. Richard found the problem and fixed it -- which was a nut that got stuck in our garbage disposal. Then he helped us get that nut back into service in the appliance that shed it, which was definitely above and beyond what he had to do. Courteous, efficient and effective. A really good guy doing a great job. The above was from an earlier visit.

This time we received absolutely unacceptable service. I made an appointment, telling them that our shower was leaking and that I had contacted the manufacturer, described the problem in detail including photos, and they had sent me parts. So I needed someone to install them. They made an appointment for between noon and four. The guy showed up at 4:30 and examined the shower.

As far as I could see he didn't really understand it very well -- I had to show him how it worked and he didn't seem to understand that one fixture controlled three heads. He then went back to his truck for 15 minutes, came back and told me that "the office" said he couldn't touch it because I had my own parts and they couldn't warrant the work because of that.

I shut the door on him. I TOLD them when I made the appointment that I had the parts. If they had a problem with that this was the time to tell me. So the card I used to have on my refrigerator has been discarded, and I hope never to hear about this company again.

As a first time customer, I was very pleased with the quick response as the on call plumber arrived within an hour of requesting a house call. Richard represented the plumbing company very well. He was very professional and thoroughly explained the options available to resolve my leaking pipe. The quality of work exceed my expectations. I would highly recommend Big State Plumbing to others to use. If needed again for different plumbing needs, I will be calling Big State Plumbing.

Outstanding Service. Had a pipe burst in the attic and needed after hours service. Found them on Angie's List. I called in the afternoon, and was given a 2-hour window for a plumber to arrive that evening. During the call they did disclose the extra service charge for emergency service, and offered next day if I wanted to wait. They arrived on time at 7:00 PM, also sent me a text before arriving with photo and estimated arrival and cell number.

After looking at leaking pipe they gave me several options to repair. Fully explained what they would do and time it would take, also gave prices for each option. Repair took two hours, as estimated. Because of debris in the old galvanized pipe, after repair was made most of my faucets had reduced flow and partial or complete blockage. It took another hour+ to clear all the facets, one in particular that took 30 minutes.

They still only charged what they quoted. Before they left, they thoroughly cleaned all the areas that they'd worked in. One last note, because the hard freeze and many busted pipes across the area every plumber with Big State was already dispatched and no other company could even give me a time or day they could come out and make the repairs. The owner/co owner of Big State, Morgan Donaho was the plumber who came out after hours with an apprentice and made the repairs at my house. I would recommend Big State to anyone with plumbing issues.

This company was very easy and a pleasure to work with. I found them on Angie's List with a deal which could have made me wary but I'm very happy I went ahead with it. They quickly called me and scheduled an appointment the next day, which was my preference. Chris, I believe, was my technician and he gave me a 30 minutes heads up and arrived in the window I had scheduled. He was very helpful with everything I had him look at and he did a good job explaining everything to me. Would definitely work with them again.

Had a very good experience with Big State Plumbing. The plumber showed up on time, was very nice and courteous, quickly fixed the broken pipe and made sure I was pleased with the job. Plus, the timing couldn't have been better as they were running an Angie's List special that paid for 2/3 of my bill. I'll definitely call them the next time I need plumbing services.
