My water heater was leaking so I went through my home insurance to make a claim. Home insurance sends out these clowns. 4S plumbing reports back to my insurance that the water heater needs to be replaced and that I need $415 in other parts not covered by the insurance company. I wasn't there when the new water heater got installed. They did replace the water heater but also made out with $415.

The tech told me the $415 was for labor. Scammers. The insurance covers the labor. All I should of payed was the deductible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you do read good reviews it's probably them that are writing them.

Shoddy workmanship and customer service, you get what you pay for. They will mess something up inevitably and good luck getting them to fix it. They have many company names and several complaints with the BBB. I just wish I would have known that before I used them. BIG MISTAKE!

When my bathroom sink developed a slow drain, and my numerous attempts to clear it myself proved futile, it was time to call 4S. Paul arrived and discovered that I had a far bigger issue - my drain had cracked. What I thought would be a fast/easy fix was a far bigger project. Paul was terrific, though, at every step of the way. He kept me informed throughout the project, and allowed me to make the decisions.

The price was fair & he was great about clean-up. In fact, I insisted on doing most of it myself, because my beloved monthly book club was about to meet. His willingness, though, was much appreciated!

Ahmad came and Fixed every gas leak. The gas company came the next day and said everything was perfect all three gas lines that they ran. I can't recommend them enough. They came when they said and cleaned up after themselves. Great people to work with! I

I called 4S when I moved into my new home (April 2021) to have both toilets replaced. I spoke with Pati who was delightful, a plumber came out and did the work, easy as pie. Two months later, my basement flooded. I contracted 4S once again to have them install a backflow valve ($8500). However, Pati was no longer with the company. And oh how her presence was missed.

Every step of the process was a disaster. Texts from the owner saying "Okay, the guys have come and done step A/B/C" but there had been no sign of anyone. Texts and calls went unanswered for days. Eventually the work did get done (and hopefully works.), but there was hemming and hawing and dragging of feet to get the job site cleaned up. Eventually the owner effectively said they've done everything they're going to do.

Take a look at the two pics attached - the first, from their marketing brochure, shows the backflow valve installed with all the excess dirt removed and a flat yard. The second shows my yard as they have decided to leave it - with a pile of dirt I can't do anything with and can't put anywhere else. I'll need to pay someone else to come remove it. Overall, the flubbed communications and lack of thorough customer service will have me looking elsewhere next time I need plumbing service large or small.

4S Plumbing turned a bad situation into a great one. We have an ongoing tree roots issue in our main line that needs attention every couple of years. This year we caught it in time before it got ugly in our basement. Thank you Marcus & Bill for the great job you did. We'll definitely use them again and let my friends and neighbors know about the great work they do.

I booked 4S for a sewer inspection, while it did take a number of follow ups to ensure we were setup for the day, they got the job done. Bill was very responsive and accommodating, great experience working with him. However, I cannot say the same for his Plumber Pete, who was rude to the seller of the property and me. Reading through the other reviews it looks like the "it's going to cost an extra $100" is a repeat conversation with this plumber specifically. Sounds like he is pocketing this "extra surprise fee".

If your plumbers don't want to do a job that's fine, just be conscious of who is on your team and how they are representing your brand. This review would have been a 5, Pete was the biggest detractor. His lack of professionalism and bad attitude will prevent customers from returning for additional services. But as I mentioned above, the job was completed successfully.

Their first visit was amazing (see below for review). Then the kitchen drain got backed up again, within a few weeks. Ahmad had told us there was a warranty; we found out there wasn't and couldn't have been (although the next plumbing company we went to is very explicit that they DO have a 30-day warranty). We had someone else come out; he couldn't clear the drain so we spent a couple hundred dollars but still had a backed up kitchen drain (we really appreciated the effort though).

He told us that we had a main sewer line problem. We were trying to schedule 4S to come out and check out the main sewer line issue, but they ended up ghosting us. So we went to another company, Midwest, and they WERE able to clear the kitchen drain without looking at the main line. Apparently we just needed a longer rod.

Initially very responsive and came out to confirm my suspected issue (leaky flush/fill valve on toilet) and said they needed to find a supplier for the part. Said they would call back in 2 hours.5 hours later I still haven't heard from them so call them and they say they cant find anything and will try again the next day. Tried calling to get an update a day or two later and still nothing so just gave up.

Very responsive and comprehensive contact from the first phone call. Ahmad was very personable and persistent in saving our toilet from a babydoll food can that our toddler somehow managed to flush down. After another company told me the toilet was done for!

Ahmad once again came out and did excellent work! I had a leak on my copper pipe due to some construction work going on and Ahmad quickly understood the issue and address it! I will continue to use 4S Plumbing for all my plumbing needs!

In response to the owner's reply, he's right I was never a customer because he didn't respond to me until after I left this negative review on yelp. I have the whole text message chain with the time stamp to prove it. And I did reach out to him more than once. I understand sometimes things happen that are out of our control. But for this company to comment back making me feel like I'm the bad person who did something wrong instead of just owning up to their failure (regardless if it's their fault or their phone's fault) shows what kind of business they run.

Slight ding to this review just for overall value. The work that Paul the plumber did will probably end up being fine--changed the toilet flapper on five toilets in my building and two fluid masters. In retrospect I should have asked for a quote before the work was done, but I took his word that it would only take about an hour to instal--plus a 30min trip to the hardware store for parts.

The billed amount was $1023, but I give kudos to the owner Bill for being responsive enough to give me a $100 volume discount. Still feels like a lot for the type of work done, but his plumber did seem to solve the leaking problem. Since that time, our next water bill was about $200 less, so the repair will pay for itself in about a year.

I had a great experience in the beginning. I had to get work done at a high rise condo building and I called to change 4 valves. They had to shut water off building so the first guy that came was Marcus and he quoted me $640 for labor and material which I was fine with. When it was shut off day. Another guy name Peter came. Very unprofessional. Came with no tools or parts.

He used my tools and parts. Then he tried to say job should of been $1700 and made me give him a $100 cash tip. After taking to owner direct. I was very satisfied. He is very passionate about his company. He said Pete will no longer be working for company. I would give them another try in the future. Changing review to 3 stars

Peter with 4S Plumbing did an AMAZING job on our sewer scope today for a home we are hoping to purchase in the north suburbs. Peter scoped our sewer, explained what the video was showing in a thorough manner, and did it all with care for us and the home buying process. Afterward, he also walked around the home and answered any plumbing related questions and offered his advice.

He also gave us an estimate on adding a gas line from the basement to the kitchen so that we can put in a gas stove instead of electric. Peter is extremely knowledgable, caring, and he makes you feel like he's taking care of family. Also, scheduling with 4S Plumbing was a breeze because Billy made it easy. He got us in at the time we requested and made sure they could provide what we needed during the scheduling process. Thank you, Peter, for the great job you did for us today!

**This review is for the service I received from Peter.** The sink and garbage disposal in our kitchen have been clogging up for the past week or so. I turned to yelp for plumbing suggestions and saw that this company was highly recommended. When Peter arrived, he diagnosed the problem and accurately determined that the issue was not within our condo but was with lines in the building.

He advised me to check in with the condo association for them to fix it. This is noteworthy because he was not just trying to get paid, but to actually help fix the problem. When you call plumbers and similar companies, it's usually because you do not know how to resolve the issue on your own and need someone to give good advice. Some people take advantage of the fact that you don't know how to fix whatever issue and they try to convince you to do work that you don't actually need.

Not Peter -- he was very honest and like I said, gave accurate advice even though that would have meant not getting paid. I appreciate people with integrity and would definitely work with Peter again.

I would like to say that 4S plumbing was great but unfortunately I was never contacted or serviced for my scheduled estimate. I reached out for a help with a project via Yelp on 3/8/2021. The response from 4S was timely and provided me with all the information necessary to schedule my estimate. It was recommended that I schedule my estimate by texting William/Bill for the quickest response.

I texted the number provided on 3/9/2021 and scheduled an estimate for my project with William/Bill for 3/10/2021 between 1pm and 3pm. It definitely was a quick and efficient way for scheduling a time that worked for both of us. A little bit before 1pm on 3/10 I texted asking for him to let me know when he was en route to my location so I could crate my dog prior to his arrival.

I never heard back. I never received a phone call or text. Heck, not when even an email which he had as he asked for it when I provided all of my contact information. Nothing. Zilch. Zero. This is unfortunate and has lead me to be believe that I will most likely not be reaching out for 4S for an future plumbing needs.

During that huge late January storm my sump pump and check valve failed around 9:30pm on a Saturday night. Water coming up through the basement drain. The most stressful part of problems like this is waiting for the guys who claim they are coming. The rep we randomly got - William Taylor - was great. He returned calls/texts throughout the night. Unlike most people in his position he seemed genuine.

We weren't thrilled with the price but it was late on a Saturday night in a horrible storm. Ahmad was the man who did the work. He was polite, efficient and confident. We liked him and would request him in the future. The next day we had another company come in to do the outside work Ahmad had recommended that night but I passed due to the cost.

The other company were far less commutative. There were other issues. 4S came back on Monday at a decent negotiated price and saved our butts. I am reluctant to trust anyone for anything but I would call William and Ahmad again.

I dealt with 4S Plumbing several times before, but this is my first time I tried their service for gas valve issue and installing a new dryer, as expected they provided excellent service, very quick response (even though it's christmas eve), and the plumber, Ahmed, is very professional and knows what he's doing! Definitely will work with them again in the future. Highly recommended!

Excellent company to work with! I put a call for a plumber to fix a gas line in one of my rentals. I sent it out on Saturday morning and Bill Taylor responded asap with a very fair price. I felt after talking to him that I could trust the work will be done expeditiously. Sure enough, on Monday his plumber sent me a text at 8 am that he was on his way and finished in 1 hour. Thanks 4S Plumbing! I'll definitely call them again for future needs.
