They are great! I have called Capital Mechanical several times for various needs and every single time the customer service from Brenda, the service rep, and the technician, Greg, has been impeccable! These poeple care about their customers and they go out of their way to make you happy with the work and a fair price! I give them a highest rating! (though my google handle is "joe schmoe" that's just for fun. My wife and I are real homeowners. So, yes, this review is real)

I had a broken Water Heater in the middle of winter and one of my friends recommended Capital Mechanical and its been amazing working with them. They were thorough professionals, got my appointment scheduled quickly and had the problem taken care of in a timely manner. Derek was very informative, even though it was a matter of replacing a broken part, he checked all other aspects of the heater to ensure its not a bigger problem. Derek and his team have been really helpful and I am glad I chose Capital Mechanical.

Reached out due to utilizing company with leak from our bathroom down to kitchen ceiling; within 6 months of newly built home. Fast forward 5 years later. Same area is leaking again but more wide spread. Homebuilder identified that it's out of warranty but would cover if initial issue is causing same leak. Service technician came out today. He checked the issue from 2017, which is identified as overflow being tighten so I'm assuming it was loose at that time.
Service technician immediately rules that out. He then proceeds to take tub spout off of wall; we acknowledged that it had been loose feeling but not noticeable in viewing it (adhesive was visibly needing to be redone). Again we shared with him that our tub had not overflowed. That our sons primary only shower and had showered prior to our ceiling leaking again.
He then proceeded to return to kitchen and cut whole in ceiling. He initially indicated a main line water leak. He asked my husband to return upstairs to run tub water so he could observe from below. My husband was informed to turn off water within a minute or less. My husband turned on shower on his own accord and yelled back that he can see that the water is flowing against the wall.
At this point, service technician goes upstairs to view my husbands report. He returns downstairs and informs us that we need a new tub spout. So now I'm confused! He then reassues us that it's not a main water line issue, although he acknowledges that the leak has spread over the majority of our kitchen ceiling. He advised to correct it all we need to replace is the tub faucet.
I inquired about the water marks on the ceiling and he advised possible hire someone to replace some areas (sheetrock) but he did not think it was a mold concern; which I inquired about. We were charged $100. He left and we then noticed that he left the hole in our ceiling! Fast forward, four hours later. I notice an email invoice and reviewed it.
Service technician lied as he indicated our tub faucet was one inch off of wall which caused water to spray inside walls when shower was on. In the signature area, there was scribble. Neither my husband nor myself signed anything from this company.

Called Capital Mechanical to install my water filter and softener. They were at my house a few days later to test the water and a few days after that to install. Wayne and Zack made sure to explain everything to me and patiently answered my thousands of questions. They sent an email when they were leaving for the appointment, so I knew they were on their way. We are extremely happy and appreciate their prompt and professional service. Thank you!

Update October 27, 2020 After Business Response: I double checked my call history to confirm, and I called you, at your number, not the Maryland company you mentioned. I was able to verify your number in my call history, on your website, and in your Google business profile. I also double checked with State, which recommended I call you, and they confirm that your company is one they recommend to provide service and the other company you mention is not.
I stand by my reviews, but if you contest any of the specifics please provide details. Original Review: First, public service announcement: Capital Mechanical is not doing any home water heater service calls, at least until late May, maybe longer, due to Covid-19. A completely reasonable policy -- everyone needs to do what they feel best for their own safety.
I would have been happy to hang up and call someone else. But, unfortunately, it took half a day to find out about the policy. I called last night and spoke to two people: their after-hours answering service, and their on-call emergency tech. Both of those people could have told me about the current no-residential-water-heater-service policy. Neither did, and instead of making other calls last night, I was waiting for a call back.
I checked their website, Google business profile, and the residential service voicemail tree and none of those spots includes the info either. I hope this review might help inform some folks, and save them similar delays before they start exploring other options.
