Due to staffing, our showroom hours have been limited. Occasionally, we may not get the showroom open. If you are hankering to take a look around and we don't have the door open, give us a call. The Bathroom Machineries Difference: We are perfectionists who strive to provide products that not only look beautiful, but function perfectly. We are not content to merely resell products made by others; many of our products are made or designed right in our own shops by people who know plumbing. Those items that we do resell are subject to additional quality inspections and often are remanufactured to meet our own stringent standards.

Re-trimming (replacing the handles and escutcheons) on American Standard China Shelfback sinks from the 1930's through the fifties (like the above examples) used to be almost impossible due to a lack of available parts. Here at Bathroom Machineries, we've discovered a simple way to make your sink look new again.
1. Look for markings on your sink or shower that will ID the brand-look under the sink or on the overflow cover of the tub. Take a photo of these markings -if any. 2. Take a photo of the entire application (i.e. the sink or the shower). 3. Pull your stem ALL THE WAY out of the valve body. We cannot ID stems if they are still in the valve.
As with many manufacturers, Crane made many changes over the years, but there are two significant periods of manufacturing, pre WW2 and post WW2. The easiest way to tell is the date. Most Crane sinks have the date of manufacture cast into or embossed into the fixture. Usually there is a Star shaped logo printed on the fixture that will also mention the Model of the sink. The model name can be extremely helpful! Once you've determined the date of manufacture, look at the appropriate section to find the part you need.

I was super happy to find an unusual bath drain with a long threaded stem, perfect for an ofuro bath I was building. My wife found the item on their website from google image search; I sent in an online query from their website to confirm dimensions and availability, and John responded early the next morning. It sounded perfect, we placed the order and USPS delivered it the next day. This was a big relief to find the part and have it in stock. Thanks!

Bathroom Machineries embraced a very challenging repair of our antique style shower knob. While other companies offered little help or interest, this team did not rest until a solution for our shower part was resolved. It is refreshing to work with a company that is dedicated to problem solving and excellent customer service.

Recently used Dea Bath for my vintage American Standard sink repair. It had a variety of issues (leaky gasket, stripped screw for the cold water handle, stopper non-functioning). I called a bunch of different plumbers, and basically no one would bother with it. Most told me to just rip it out and replace with something new. (I was VERY annoyed, and almost kicked those ppl out of my house immediately.) The others said it was impossible to get parts, but they would consider working on it. Thankfully Lydia at Dea Bath was very helpful in determining what parts I needed both over email and the phone. Shipping was quick, and the plumber was so impressed with their quality that he asked for their info to pass along to other customers.
Definitely more than pleased that my new handles are on (and honestly way better than the older handles). I'm so glad that there is someone out there that cares about old plumbing and is paying attention to the details.

The experience of going to this store was almost surreal for me. For one, the name is absolutely not one that wold ever draw me inside. I ended up inside because a large part of my family/friends group decided to go inside. Also it was quite warm (uhhh, hot) in Murphys and there was the hope of a/c inside. Once inside, I felt I'd been transported into a different world and a different time.
Technology was non-existent in this store in a right-now-today sense, yet it was all around me in a years-gone-by sense. I can't begin to explain the wide variety of machineries in Dea-Bathroom. Toilets, cow bells, heavy lifting pullies, classic gas street lamps, bottle openers, land plows, claw foot bathtubs (upstairs, yes look closely and there is an upstairs), and the list could go on and on.
The store was so full of enthralled, browsing patrons that I kept finding myself saying "oops sorry, oh excuse me" (in a polite tactful we're-all-enjoying-this-place way, not a "ugh, MOVE" way). We spent a lot more time than I ever expected and ended up browsing the entire place (unless they had a hidden, super cool area that no one knows about).
The staff there were very kind and answered with friendliness any questions one could come up with. Because I never could have possibly imagined myself being interested in a store such as this, having such an interesting time inside made all the more impact on me (such that within seconds of entering, I wasn't even thinking about a/c). And for that, BAM - 5 stars.

We came in here and it felt like we went back in time. We gave our sons lessons in History. They were actually interested. We showed them what we use to type letters on, sinks and bathtubs we used as we were growing up. One pitcher we saw my Mom actually still owned since she was young. There was a pair of teeny tiny books from the 1940s that interested our sons.
We saw a toilet that was called the crapper and we were told Thomas Crapper invented the toilet and thats where the phrase, "I've got to take a crap" came from. Even the home itself was part of History. We all really enjoyed being there. We all purchased something. I purchased a very heavy bottle opener in the shape of a women's heel. Too cute to pass. I found being in the store a nostalgic experience.

Although I know this place is known for its antique bathroom fixtures, if you are in Murphys, CA you should go and spend an hour circling the first floor antiques and collections. Everything is neatly organized and the variety is wide. Every time I circled back around I found a new little trinket that I wanted. Also, don't forget to look up! There are some unique one-of-a-kinds up high

This place is an amazing trove of aging things you will not find in one spot again. Bottle openers, skeleton keys, door knobs and vintage porcelain worthy of a museum. You will find things you have always wanted and never knew you needed. It is in what was an I.O.O.F. building that has as much character as the contents do. That includes the staff who are helpful and friendly.

They were our last hope, and we were so happy to hear about them! Excellent customer service (Dave was so helpful and very knowledgeable) and we are incredibly pleased with our complete set of 1950's Crane bathroom sink fixtures. These restored fixtures are expensive--but well worth it to us, since to tear out all our tile and install a totally new sink and fixtures would have been well beyond our budget. We only have praise for this company.

I have never visited the store in person, but I have purchased a few times over the years and I have always been very happy with this company. Customer service is everything to me and that the owner and employees possess this in spades. I recommend this shop to people all over the country if you want a pleasant experience shopping for and kitting out your bathrooms.

This is a must see business for anyone looking to restore a vintage home. We have been in the vintage home restoration business in Anaheim, Ca, for 35 and have found several parts that were not available anymore being manufactured for DEA. We use their offset toilet flush ells (not available anywhere else) as well as Crane sink parts that they have had made that are spot on replacements for the originals. Businesses such as Tom's need to be supported as on the vintage side we are dealing with a diminishing supply of truly vintage pieces. John Armstrong, Armstrong's Vintage Plumbing and Lighting.

I looked all over Saramento for parts to repair a vintage Crane faucet. Even the specialty antique plumbing stores said the parts weren't available. We got on the internet and actually found a video showing how to fix the exact faucet. We saw that the parts were not only available but we could drive to Murphys to get them. If you have an old home (ours is 95 years) and can't find what you need to make repairs, try this place. In addition to them having the parts we needed, the service is unsurpassed. Extremely helpful and friendly.

God I love this place. The first time my husband and I came to Murphys, we got pretty wasted and ended up walking around the shops for a bit to sober up. Me plus an antique store plus alcohol, however, is an equation ending in disaster. When I saw a gold-plated sink for $100, I just had to have it. The two or three still-sober brain cells I had left were all, "hey Heather calm your tits, you don't even have a house to put it in, and they probably don't even take AmEx here anyway!" But then my drunk-ass husband (bf at he time actually) started in with the "holy crap you'll never find a deal like that anywhere else" and other assorted idiocy which only served to egg me on.
And lo, they DO take AmEx! So 5 years later, I am still the proud owner of a gold plated sink that's sitting in a storage unit. o_O Anyway, we were back again for the 800th time this past weekend and managed to control ourselves. They do have a lovely assortment of metallic sinks though! As well as a huge range of vintage bathroom fixtures that would make for some seriously awesome design when installed. For a real good laugh though, make your way up toward the counter and find the basket of old brothel tokens. Those are awesome.

Very cool antique shop in the up and coming little town of Murphy's nestled up there in gold and now wine country. If you like retro kitschy chic and want neat door knobs, vintage big keys for art or big jewelry or if you simply want a cool bottle opener you the know the kind you nail down into a counter or wall (an they sell the box where the caps drops in too) then I recommend you hitting up this place. Awesome place for those who want an out of the box retro home or if you break something at your grandma's place and you want to fix it before she returns home then speed you butt up here.
If you like vintage style homes then this is your place for all things indoor and possibly out. I first noticed that the brass toilet paper holder at the Victoria Inn read DEA Bathroom Machineries. not sure about you folks but when I think of DEA I think of narcotics and unhealthy substances. later that day trotting down the Main St. (pun intended) I saw the DEA sign again and it was to the endtrance of this store. Friendly service too!
