The guys that just came out here were horrible. Arrogant. Totally unhelpful. My mom is in hospice and we needed a faucet fixed. He reluctantly offered to fl the service call saying it was his least favorite thing to do. Wow.

Have lived in Marin for several decades and couldn't live without Mason Plumbing! Most recently Rufus came out to repair toilets: prompt, efficient and taught me a few important things to know. Greatly appreciated his checking in with me at the end and having me flush the toilets, just to be sure they met with my satisfaction! Fully recommend this wonderful company!

If you want a reliable, honest plumber call Mason Plumbing. We have worked w lots of people over the years, but none are as down to earth, actually focused on our needs. We don't hear about how busy they are (they are but they done make it your problem), they show up, when they say they will and work to make sure our situation is fixed to our standards. Seems simple, to have someone provide an honest service, then stand behind their work, and be courteous. Mason Plumbing does it all as a matter of course, we are happy to have found them.

Have used Mason plumbing for years on issues large and small. Always dependable, staff wonderful and prices reasonable and trustworthy. Cameron and his staff are our go to folks for plumbing issues at our home and rental property.

Who was that masked man? I called and within an hour he was here. I'm not exactly sure who it was, but very pleasant, knew what to do and look for and gave me all the answers needed. Chris and his team are awesome. We bought our house in January and not a month later had a serious gas leak to deal with. They jumped into action (rearranging their schedule because of the urgency) and repaired an underground line that was corroded. They have since been back to do a few other non-urgent repairs called out in the home inspection, all with expediency, professionalism and value. I've owned homes for 20+ years and had my share of plumbing problems. Mason Plumbing by far has been the best service provider I have ever worked with. Thank you!

From start to finish, a great experience. The person who arranged my appointment was so cheerful and helpful. Service was prompt. My Plumber Felton did a great job of explaining the issue, and a great job of neatly and efficiently fixing the problem. I will call this business for all my plumbing needs. They care about doing a good job and the price was fair.

And they are back.same feel. Shane is our plumber and he is fantastic.and Christina (sp) the desk/phone person is so freakin fun!

My water heater broke over the weekend; I called PG&E because I smelled gas. The PG&E technician came to my house, tried to restart the water heater to no avail. Then he brought in a gas detector and determined the line to the water heater was broken; so he disconnected it. Today Mason Plumbing put in a new water heater. They smelled gas, brought in the same type of gas detector and determined the gas leak was coming from an adjacent pipe connected to our gas heater for radiant heat for the house. Cameron Mason not only replaced the water heater at a reasonable price, he corrected a very dangerous situation. We have used Mason Plumbing for many years. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

My wife concluded that we needed a seismic shut off valve for our gas line, and I called one of the high profile plumbers in Marin. I have wrench hanging next to the gas meter, but she was concerned that when the "big one" came we might be having coffee at Rulli's, and unable to shut off the gas line. I also noted that the wrench was frozen shut after years of exposure to the elements, so it would have been useless.

We haven't had the need for a plumber in a while so we currently don't have a "go to" plumber. The young man arrived, and gave me an estimate of around $1,000 to do the work. I thought it was a bit high. I asked about re-lighting the gas water heater if the shut off value cut off the gas supply. I showed him the water heater, and he noted that it was 16 ears old, and showed signs of leaking.

I asked him for a quote to replace the heater. I thought that it was also a bit high. As a general rule I don't have the temperament or discipline to call more than one company for an estimate, but I called one of those companies that specialize in water heaters. They charge $79 just to show up and give an estimate. They arrived, and gave us an estimate that was about 30% below the first company. But, they only do water heaters, and couldn't do a shut off valve.

So I called a local plumber listed on Diamond Certified, Mason Plumbing. Cameron Mason, the owner got back to me in one day. In fact he called me back on Sunday. He showed up on Monday, gave me an estimate for the cut off valve and the water heater, and said he could do the work on Tuesday. The price for the shut off valve installation was 50% less than the first quote I received, and the price for the water heater was slightly less than the water heater specialists. Interestingly all three firms use Bradford White water heaters so there was an apple to apple comparison. Cameron Mason, the owner showed up Tuesday morning with a young associate and advised me that it would take 5 to 7 hours. The job was finished in 5 1/2 hours. No mess. Efficient and competent. Highly recommended.

Since my original review, I have had Cameron and company re-pipe my entire home and install a new water heater after mine failed. They are simply the best. Brandon did the re-piping and is absolutely the hardest working and most pleasant guy to deal with. Cameron and Shane did the hot water heater replacement - trying their damnedest to just replace the igniter assembly before conceding that the entire water heater needed to go, and then barely charging me at all for the igniter. Great customer service and quality work - they're the best.

We have used Mason 3 times. The 2nd time, I asked if I could get trained in replacing an old leaking elbow joint under a bathroom sink. Cameron walked me through all the steps while answering all my questions expertly. I learned valuable basics about our house's plumbing. This has given more confidence about assessing plumbing projects. Anyways, no "service" in the bay-area is cheap. I highly recommend hiring Cameron and then picking his brain while the meter is running. This will help you gain better control over the "money pit" - your house.

The customer service with this company is great! Started off with a great conversation with the dispatcher. She was very sweet and personable. She was able to get a plumber out to fix my overflowing toilet same day, and I called late in the morning. The plumber was very friendly as well. I have never talked to a dispatcher as friendly and knowledgeable as the one Mason Plumbing has. Thank you Christina and Mason Plumbing family!

Reliable and skilled. Not the cheapest - but they show up and get the job done with minimum of fuss. Really sweet employees too.

We have had a wonderful experience with Mason Plumbing. Cameron scheduled an estimate within a day of when I called. He explained our problem and the choices we had. The work was done within a few days. Cameron called the morning of the work to say when Shane, the plumbing technician, would arrive and Shane arrived on the dot! He was so very nice and personable and respectful of our space as he replaced a toilet and a hot water heater.

Called when needed to get gas line earthquake emergency shut off valve replaced. Had reported possible leak to PG&E who came out, confirmed leak, then shut off gas telling us we need to get repaired before they could turn it back on. It was the day after Christmas and nobody was available. Crystina of Mason Plumbing picked up and was an absolute angel doing everything she could to help.

All of their people were busy that day so she gave me a few referrals and didn't rest until we got the issue resolved. You rarely run into people this kind and thoughtful so the least I can do is write a review and tell the world that these are good people and deserve our business. Cameron and his team are top notch. Two contractors we've worked with recommended his work, and we've had great success as well. We've used Cameron and his team for many projects now, from small (installing a garbage disposal and re-seating a toilet that had a failed wax seal), to large, such as installing a new gas line to the street so PG&E could install a new meter and upgrade our gas service.

His pricing is fair, his work quality is excellent, and his response to requests is timely. They show up when they say they will, and when we had some unexpected changes to our gas line installation, Cameron came by on short notice to make sure we didn't miss our construction date with PG&E. Highly recommended. I only wish all contractors we've worked with were as good.

This will document an unfortunate experience with Mason Plumbing. I called them to clean a backup in my sewerline. Two men were at it for several hours without success, and since they did not know if the line could be cleared, I told them to stop. Thereafter, one of the service men read from a tablet that I owed him $ 615. I responded that I wanted a bill because on a previous call I had to make many calls to finally get a bill.

The service guy called Cameron on the spot, and Cameron responded: "you know where that goes". A few minutes later Cameron called me and said "I heard that you don't want to pay the bill" - I'll have to contact my lawyer". I responded:"I never said that, just send me a bill". A week later I did receive a bill for $ 631 for 3 hours of work (2 guys @ 3 hrs = 6 hrs) The guys left and sewage was still overflowing.

This is injury on top of insult. Why did it take 6 man hours (and probably more if I hadn't stopped them) in an unlikely event of success. Moreover, their work habits left much to be desired as one of the guys was standing around most of the time.

We give Cam & his crew our highest personal recommendation. Plumbing work done correctly by good people. Yo will not be disappointed.
