What an absolute racket! I called S Waters because one of my upstairs showers was leaking through the floor. They sent a guy out. He pretty quickly figured out the leak could be fixed simply with some resealing in the shower. I thought this was excellent news because it meant a relatively cheap fix. Well.while resealing the shower, I walked in to find him messing around with the toilet to the point it would no longer fill with water or flush (it was working perfectly fine before he touched it).
He told me everything in the toilet needed to be replaced and actually I should probably replace the toilet itself because it's a 1.6 gallon/flush toilet which is "outdated" (a simple google search will tell you 1.6 gal/flush is the current federal standard). He told me the shower needed to be snaked which would be an additional $200. He also said I needed a new thermal expansion tank (for several hundred more) which he told me typically need to be replaced every 4-5 years (I have since contacted another plumber about this who told me he's never even heard of those going out).
The S Waters guy kept checking things unnecessarily (at $150/hr mind you) and then insisted he had to "thoroughly" clean up and vacuum. I told him that would absolutely not be happening. I can clean up at no additional cost. Ultimately he told me my house needed ~$1K of plumbing work (not factoring in the $150/hr on top of that). I paid him the $175 he charged for the shower resealing and couldn't get him out of my house fast enough.
The day after this I discovered the sink in the bathroom he was in was now leaking everywhere, which means either two separate leaks happened to occur in the same bathroom within days of each other, or he messed with the sink the way he messed with the toilet. What do you think? I think if you want honest work do NOT call S Waters.

Waters Plumbing is the absolute best! Robert came out and solved a plumbing problem that had been going on for years and other plumbing companies were unable to solve. He even worked in the evening making sure that their were no leaks in the new piping that he had installed, then he proceeded to check on the hot water heater, sump pump and an old soft water system (never used by us) that was there 8 years prior when we first moved in.
He dismantled the soft water tank and suggested that we remove it. We intend to call Waters to have them do the work. Robert was friendly and knowledgeable and wore his protective mask the entire time. If you have any plumbing needs call them first!

Don't believe the 100% Guarantee. We have used Waters for 20 years for our cabin in Groveland. When our heating system quit working, we called them. After a 2 week wait, the serviceman put in a new thermostat, which didn't fix the problem for more than a day. They would not come back without scheduling another service call 2 weeks out. Rude phone service, no discount as requested, since it was not fixed. Paid over $300 and still didn't have heat. Couldn't live in Nov. without heat, so called another company that fixed the problem the very next day. Working fine now after two weeks. We will never use Waters again. Call another company if you need heating or plumbing.

On June 25, 2020 I called S Waters and spoke to "Star" about running a 15-foot gas line to our kitchen from the meter for a new stove. Kevin came for an estimate. He seemed very friendly and knowledgeable, and said it would take two plumbers about one day, plus materials. He estimated $1,000 per plumber, plus a few hundred dollars in materials. So, the total would be about $2,300 to $2,400.
I got two other estimates. The job was done nicely by another plumber and took 4 1/2 hours by one plumber. Total cost $625. I am assume S Waters does good work, but it would be a good idea to get competitive estimates.

So grateful to Calvin for recommending Steve Waters Plumbing today when our entire system backed up into the bath tub. Let's just say it was not pleasant. Brandon was very kind and professional, getting the problem fixed efficiently and completely on a Sunday evening after another big job. He also suggested ideas for the future since the problem wiill occur again someday (roots in the main sewer line going out from the house). Thanks you S. Waters Plumbing and Brandon!

Very disappointing. Pro - they were available on a Saturday (con - at $300/hr). I had to have a second plumber in the same day to fix what S Waters could not fix. The plumber was not knowledgable. He suggested a very expense way to get at a clog (break the pipe instead of go in thru the toilet). After an hour and $, I asked him to leave. The second plumber came in - assessed the issue and fixed the clog (via the toilet). Do not recommend at at.

I have used S. Waters Plumbing over the years. They have always been reliable, honest and responsive to our needs. Just had Kevin out to help us with our kitchen sink leak. He was thorough in checking everything out and found the problem and solved it. He was excellent in communicating what we needed. On top of everything else, he was very polite and thoughtful. He was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend him as representing S. Waters Plumbing.

Raul came out to review our kitchen remodel. He assessed the situation clearly and quickly, presented a quote, and contacted a co-worker (Kevin) to get all the necessary parts. He then got to work clearing space and preparing the site for new piping. Work was significant fixing leaks, moving a drain, creating an island vent, adding 5 supply lines, capping off old lines, moving existing lines, and more.
The work was completed that same day and was professional and of the highest quality. I say the above from the vantage point of someone who has built homes and done many major remodels. I am picky. I would have no hesitation calling them again. They have become my go to plumbers!

Thanks, Kevin! All the toilets in my house were backed up and of course it's a Saturday. Kevin showed up right on time, cleared everything up, came in way under the price he'd quoted and was respectful of not spending too much time since I was paying the weekend rate. He made a few suggestions to schedule some improvements during regular business hours. I'll definitely call these guys next time!

I have used Waters Plumbing since 2009. In the 10 years that I've used them they have: 1. Installed a new sewer main (in the winter in the cold rain!) 2. Repaired various sink, tub, and toilet clogs 3. Installed a water heater tank 4. Upgraded toilets with parts because of a recall 5. Installed a new toilet 6. Repaired a broken PVC line near an irrigation box 7. Repaired the water main pipe 7. Installed a Navien tankless water heater for our in-law unit (which we love, especially since it has a 20 year warranty from the manufacturer!) 8. Installed a second Navien tankless water heater for our house when the tank water heater was past it's prime (Thank you Raul & Brandon!
We love this tankless water heater too!) I have had only one experience in 10 years when they had to come out twice for the same job. They sent out a person to fix the issue right away and did not charge me for the fix. Last but not least, thanks to Starr's scheduling expertise, appointments are scheduled quickly and every effort is made to get someone out if there is a time-critical plumbing issue.

First appointment was cancel by them. Came two days later. replace a flapper ( $6 to $9) took 7 minutes. Use a plastic line to for the sink to unplug it ( took 3 minutes). Told me that I should change my water heater that it was dangerous to have water heater too old; told me that he would go to his truck to gave me a quote. Meanwhile I went to google and type water heather replacement : the average cost to have this replace was $1445.00; He came back after 15 minutes with a quote over $4400.00. His bill for his 10 minutes of effective work came to $175.00 which amount to a hourly rate of $ 1050.00. This is was i called highway robbery.

Kevin from S Waters Plumbing saved us when our gas fireplace wouldn't turn off. Of course this type of thing only happens on a Saturday during the holidays. I called every plumbing service in the Marin area (even some with only 3 stars), desperate to stop the flow of gas to the fireplace. Kevin called back and promised to be there within 2 hours.
About 1 1/2 hours later he arrived, assessed the problem and capped the gas pipe leading into the fireplace. He did not fix the problem causing the gas to not turn off because he didn't want to spend a lot of time at the "emergency rates" he had to charge. We will definitely call S Waters Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs in the future. Thank you a Kevin!

This company is great! I was impressed by their professionalism, knowledge, and courtesy. The Plumber that came to my house was very friendly and explained the issue and how he planned to fix it thoroughly. I felt comfortable and would gladly use S Waters Plumbing again! Thank you, Steve, Starr, and crew!

Terrible experience This was an urgent, very quick job that needed doing. Called for appointment, person on other end of phone repeated back to me all wrong info. Then called to change appointment by half an hour and someone by the name of Star took information. Next day no one showed up, no tag on door, no phone call. When I called the office they told me I had to reschedule. NOT!

To bad there are no stars! Called to make a very simple appointment "Hello, I just need a valve replaced on washing machine. ". Which was repeated back to me "we're coming out to install vents in your washing machine. Huh? Not. Also, we changed time of appointment from 3:30pm to 4:00pm. No one showed up and no tag on door and no phone call. Goodbye undependable S Waters Plumping!

If I could give zero stars I would. Think twice before using this plumber and keep an eye on your pocketbook - this plumber will take you for all your worth and come back for more. I have never experienced predatory billing like this. $2000 to remove cabinets to get at a leak - came to find out from the tenants of my house that he never removed cabinets.
On another fix he claimed that there was another leak 4 feet away from a previous leak he fixed a couple of months prior - I came to find out he jackhammered up concrete in the exact location as the previous leak - then he tells me - no the leak is not there its underneath the fireplace - and I had only 2 options to fix it - have him repipe the whole house $12,000 or epoxy the pipe underneath the fireplace $4,000.
I opted for a second opinion - bi-pass the leaky pipe - ie the cold water line coming in to the house and tie into the Manifold in the house (Eichlers apparently have manifolds that then feed the sinks and toilets throughout the house) - the estimate - 1 day labor and materials - less than $2000. S. waters final bill was for $890 including 6 hours of labor and still no fix- when I inquired what he did to justify the billing he could not explain it - the work he did do jack hammer up cement - could have been done in an hour - the tenants said S. Waters workers spent most of the 6 hours watching the workers from American Leak detectors do their job.
S. Waters works a great deal for Property Management companies - so the potential for abuse and overcharging or fraudulently charging is very very easy - for property owners like me who often don't have the ability to always be hands - on with their property - he takes advantage of this.
One pipe above ground which had no leak was "fixed"- and afterward the tenants had to put a container underneath to catch the water. Another plumber eventually fixed that "fix".
