This company is awesome! I spoke with customer service rep Charlene who was such a joy to speak with. She was able to get me same day service for my water heater. She was very knowledgeable with the different options and programs that Stark offers. The technician that was sent to service my water heater was also great. Brandon was very professional and explained everything that he was going to do. I will recommend this company to anyone. Thank you!

I had an issue with my water heater. I called at night and Steven showed up an hour later to inspect the unit that same night. Steven was back the next day to Install a new unity with Cody. Bad service all around! Brandon from Stark Services was consistently late and never showed up when he said he would (he was at our house 4+ times). We had our service line get clogged due to a break in the pipe and they said it would be $4000-$6000 to repair it. After 10 days they finally did a job that could have been done in 2 days. They said that they would not charge my card until I knew insurance had paid but just needed it on file.

They had my signature for a $500 service call charge earlier and went ahead and charged almost $10,000 for the whole job, without authorization. I contacted my bank but there was nothing they could do at this point. Our insurance covered up to $10,000 for service lines, but only covered $6800 since the company had bogus charges with a vague description.

I am already having issues again with plumbing and two companies said it should have cost $4000 or less for that job and they will have to undo some of the work since the pipes were not routed correctly. Overall a terrible company. Never on time or fast to communicate unless they need your card number. They overcharge for anything they can and even admit to being paid based on the jobs they sell to clients.

By the end of our plumbing issues we will have spent at least $3000 more than we needed to and will have a new company finish the work. Note: They also scoped my house for "free" and said it would be $60,000 to replace my pipes when they needed to be. Two other companies just gave me quotes for the same job and for less than half the price ($28,000).

Brandon Hines was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when he helped us with some plumbing and HVAC services. He clearly explained about the questions we had, shared information about options we have to remedy non-urgent but important work we need to complete, and provided a plan for preventative maintenance that would otherwise result in later costly repairs.

He provided an estimate with descriptions, and I feel very confident in his investigations and his recommendations. I happily recommend Stark Services for their courtesy, diligence, friendliness, knowledge, and competence.

Brandon was outstanding while inspecting the plumbing on a house we are in the process of buying. He was honest and informative about the situation but did not push us to make a certain decision. He was also persistent when this older house made it difficult to get access to the pipes. Really impressed by him and the company.

I called Stark for a easy bid on evaporator coil. Benjamin came back with a bid of $4,200.00. I called 3 others and not using the lowest bid got it done for $1,400.00. The job has been fine. Now does that sound like crooks or what. All I can say folks is be careful and get several sound bids and don't listen to a bunch of you-know-what.

Jason V. took great care of my unit. He changed the filter and installed 2 surge protectors and explained the importance behind both. Jason took the time to show me pictures and explain everything in detail. I felt very comfortable with him in my home as did all 3 of my dogs and that's saying something! This is a great company and they have a great employee in Jason V.

I called around and did my research. Stark services came highly recommended and they left even more highly recommended. Manny was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure I knew what I actually needed and why I needed it. He made a few recommendations that I wouldn't have even thought about and so he made sure that EVERYTHING got taken care of and I wouldn't think of something else to add down the road.

The installers, Michael and Brandon, were incredibly professional, curtious, clean and careful. They explained the functions of my new equipment and made sure I understood all necessary operational functions. I would send this team to my grandmother's house. I can't thank them enough for all they did for me and I hope you give them the chance to take care of your a/c and plumbing needs.

Replacing HVAC systems are an expensive proposition unfortunately often occurring at the most inopportune times. Jake and Jason were excellent in determining the systems problems occurring at my father's home and took the time to patiently explain the technical aspects and all repair/replace options allowing us to make an informed decision. The communications. from phone calls, to emails to text messages from Stark. notifying us when the techs would arrive to the final completion of the work were exemplary and far better than I expected. Systems were replaced within 36 hours! We appreciated Stark's customer service.

Brandon of Stark Services called me to get a better understanding of my concerns. I appreciate that he listened patiently and then responded without argument. It may be that my visit wasn't typical and not up to Stark Services standards. We agreed that I will have them come and do a pre-winter check, and he set it up so he can personally come out.

We will see if we can get the service up to both of our standards. I upgraded the rating to 'good', because Brandon and Stark Services did care enough to reach out to me and wanted to make it right. Just to be clear, right is about value, efficiency, and communications.

These guys came in and got the job done! Our compressor was out on our unit. The drew us up a plan to put us on their advantage program. 7 days 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to come and help us with our new unit. seasonal maintenance throughout the year. They even change out our filters. The guys got here about 9:30 and were gone by 3:30. I'm very pleased with the service. Looking forward to be their customer!

Beware of this company overcharging for their services. Fortunately, we were not in an emergency situation due to the freeze storm so we were able to reach out to another plumbing for a 2nd estimate. Stark Air, wanted to charge us around $2000 to replace three outside faucets (bib hoses). Their justification for price gouging was that they are able to get out and complete the work faster than most plumbing companies due to the recent freeze storm in Texas.

This is not true, I was able to get another company out within a couple of days and they charged $650 to replace all three outside faucets. There is no justification for triple charging people and taking total advantage of consumers, especially the older community. Don't be fooled by this company, contact another company before you decide to have this company do any work.

STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND GM MARSHA GRIFFIN! They will take your money unreasonably. I am not a consumer who writes reviews typically unless my experience with a business goes completely wrong and/or when I feel being taken advantage of. As I was shopping around for a company to come out and let me know what was wrong with my heater- i found these guys (Stark Services in Haltom City). Called them and spoke to someone who booked my appt and informed me that their visit would cost $70 (average cost typically) for them to come.

As the conversation went further she offered (she initiated the offer) for a subscription deal. The deal included for them to waive the first visit fee and provide me with some discounts on maintenance. As it sounded like a good deal I asked her- what's included in the commitment (AKA what's the catch)? How long do I have to stay with the subscription?

She said and I quote her: "You can cancel it at any time as long you don't cancel the day after the service (after the first visit)" Well So I told her I was shopping around but took her word for it and signed up for the $5/month subscription. They sent out 2 young employees who threw several technical terms at me (which didn't fool me as I am not new to AC/heater related things) and kept saying the reason my heater was pulling too much power was because the duct work (original duct work built by the construction company that built the house new about 14 years ago) was incorrectly built and that it didn't feed enough air to the house- technically I should have more vents in my house per their explanation. AND OF COURSE THEY PUSHED ME REAL HARD to buy a new unit from them.

Cost would have been around $15K-$16K. So I told them I would like to shop around/get a second opinion. Sure enough found out from a different company that the problem was the heat strips that just needed to be replaced. NOW TO THE MOST PROBLEMATIC PART- DEALING WITH MARSHA GRIFFIN (who called her self the GM of Stark Services). First, i sent her a request to cancel my subscription about 1-2weeks after the visit.

Once I noticed that in the second month I was charged again for the subscription, i gave her a call and she said she would not cancel it and that i needed to stick with it for 6 months. That's when i told her I was told differently on the phone by her employee. So she said: "you will have to pay $60 if you would like to cancel it". I disagreed and she said she would review the recording of the call from the conversation I had with the employee that quoted me. Well.it's been a month and never heard back from her. And now I am being charged for a 3rd month of the subscription. Watch your money with dishonest companies and their EMPLOYEES (GM) of this same type.

The company was great when it was Lewisville Heating and Air. However, 4 years ago we purchased a new air handler from the renamed STARK services. It took STARK 4 trips back to make our AC blow cold air. Yesterday, our heater stopped working. After waiting over 24 hours for them to return our call to come service our unit, we called a different company and we have discovered faulty work that caused a short in our heat strips and we are without heat.

I called STARK to let them know, and to ask for them to fix the part (which should still be under warranty) and the first thing the operator said was "understand that your warranty may not be valid if you haven't had your scheduled checkups." We are opting to stop the bleed and go with a completely different company.

Prompt, professional service is how I describe Stark Services. Called several plumbers for same day service and Stark was the only company that could come out on the same day in the late afternoon and not charge an after hours fee. Dustin was professional, clean, informative and did the job quickly. I highly recommend Stark Services, so don't throw your money down the drain with other plumbers, call Stark Services.

It's extremely sad that I am having to update my previous good review, after THINKING that we had a good experience, we have now found out that Stark completely LIED to us and sold us not only a $6500 unit, for $14,000. but it's also taken over a WEEK to finally get a hold of someone now that we've got the unit. The thought of potentially having an issue and if we needed someone, it would take weeks to get in contact with them?! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!

They did what they needed to do to make a sale, and that's honestly all they cared about doing, as well as ripping you off in the process. Highly suggest doing your research, and DO NOT FALL INTO THE LIES THEY PROVIDE JUST TO MAKE THE SALE!

Nice people and the technician was willing to crawl through the attic space to check the them. However, the itemized pricing to replace our HVAC vent pipe for $250 turned in to $550 when I decided to only replace the vent pipe. I was told that I need to do it as parent of a $980 "package" that included various additional services I do not want and it come with a heavy dose of scare tactics and pushy salesmanship.

This is common with HVAC companies. I'm in sales and I see right through it. I do not appreciate these snake in the grass tactics. Not to mention the other services proposed were double those of the other companies I received bids from. Buyer beware!

Horrible service! Came out for a routine tune up on Friday. Did not rinse the outside unit, did not change filter. Tripped the breaker on the unit that was not worked on. The breaker issue has continued through the weekend. We called to have them come back out. Stood us up 12-2, rescheduled from 4-6 pm. Did not show again. When I called they said no one will be coming out due to them "not being a good fit". Do not use this company! Unprofessional.

I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment to have a service done. I explained to the woman on the phone what I wanted done and set up an appointment. When the technician arrived (later than scheduled) he quoted me a ridiculous price, as they did not want to do what I had requested over the phone. They wasted my time, my contractors time and frankly this is not a company that I want to deal with as far as reliability is concerned.

The high temperature yesterday was 90 degrees. I had the temperature set to 74 in the house. The unit had to run at 100% to try and keep it at that temperature. There were 3 occasions I know of that it went to 75 inside for 45 minutes before the system could get the temperature back to 74 degrees. Here is a picture of what the register in my kitchen looks like this morning.

We are supposed to have several days in the 100's this week. My electric bill is going to be higher than normal. My attic is going to get soaked again from the moisture leaking out of the duct. So much for a high efficiency hvac system.

Excellent service! My service technician, William, was beyond knowledgeable and professional - checking and rechecking his work, thoroughly evaluating the system as a whole, and taking it a step further by suggesting ways I can further extend the life of my 8 year old system. I'm usually very skeptical of technicians suggesting things I don't really need, but he gave an honest assessment based on his experience and offered the option that would give me the best bang for my buck for my specific system. Greatly appreciated. Also, compared to the other service company I called, I have to commend Stark on. Speed: I called Stark at 6:30am - before their normal business hours and William was at my door at 8:30am. A#1 Air Conditioning offered to come out sometime after noon.

This was on a hot July day. Fair pricing: Stark's service fee was 1/3 that of A#1. Huge difference in an emergency air conditioning situation when you don't have a lot of time to shop around. With this kind of service and pricing, Stark has gained a lifelong customer.

I bought a new Lennox XC20 unit in May 2018 and it has yet to effectively cool below 82 when it is 100+ degrees outside and it runs constantly. We even have good R45 insulation and the house was built in 1996. Stark Services has been out to our house 5 times in less than 2 months and had to replace the TXV in our brand new XC20 unit. Still no luck, this unit is either a lemon or the installation company (Stark) is incompetent. Stark Services, the installer, told us our Lennox should only cool to 20 degrees below the outside temperature. What?

That would make it 90 degrees when it is 110! I explained this to Stark and they said that's normal and it is working as expected. Apparently Stark believes as long as you can cool to 90 when it is 110 outside you will be a happy customer. Our friends have the same size house, built the same year, bought a different from a different installer for half the price and they cool to 75 just fine when it is 110 outside. I can not in good conscious recommend this unit, brand, or especially Stark Services.

Small update - I mentioned the Phone App for my Smart Thermostat (iComfort S30) was a bit buggy. Well, as expected a software update took care of the initial unreliability of the app. I knew I was an early adopter of the device and the software tends to lag the hardware when brand new. Well, all is good now. I've had a few updates and the reliability has gotten well into my "pleased" range. :-)

These guys came out and did a repair on my AC. They offered me a discount if I would sign up for the check-up/service program, which I did. Even though I paid for the program, I never used it. I called to cancel, multiple times, but they continued to bill me. Even after being reassured that their error was corrected, I am still getting bills from them almost two years later! Because of the inefficiency and lack of professionalism in their billing department, I do not trust them, and will not use them again.
