Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness Would not use their services again. While the technicians/plumbers who come out are decent enough dealing with their office can be misleading and result in frustration.

I have a hydro air system in my house for heat. The tubing that runs from my basement all the way to the air handler in the attic started to leak where it connected to the copper pipe in the basement. It turned out that the company (Kitec) that manufactured the tubing was out of business and there was no way to make a repair. My greatest fear was we were going to have to open up walls on the first and second floor to run new tubing from the basement to attic.

To make matters worse, I had just paid to have the entire interior of my house painted. Charlie from G&L was great. He came up with a successful plan to snake the tubing from the basement to the attic with out the need for any demolish. Hats off to a great job that saved me money!

Really getting sick of these contracting companies trying to screw people. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The technician Cliff was about as friendly as a pile of mud. They came to fix a drain, thought we were all set, but Cliff-o didn't fix it properly and had to come back a second time originally the next day. But they were behind schedule and cancelled our appointment time last minute because they couldn't come that day, they also said they couldn't come back until Tuesday morning, what great customer service don't you agree?

This company is so full of excuses its ridiculous. I called to confirm the appointment and somehow they screwed up and moved the appointment time by a few hours without notifying us. I told them to fix it and get us back to the old appointment time. Ended up having to have a second guy come over which I was not happy about because of covid. It is my 79 year old mom's house who has stage 3 kidney disease and other health issues so I told both of them to please keep their masks while working inside. a minute later i caught the other worker with his mask off in the same room as my mother. didnt realize how blind and lacking in intelligence plumbers can be. Cliff-o made excuses for his behavior but guess what Cliff-0 there are no excuses for that type of ignorance. THIS COMPANY'S NEGLIGENCE COULD GET SOMEONE VERY SICK OR EVEN KILL THEM. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR FROM THIS COMPANY I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND

Critical: Punctuality Unprofessional and delayed service; having to reschedule different days and a simple "oh, i'm sorry" doesn't equate to much. Find a company that actually cares about its customers Service: Faucet repair

Wish I could give 0 stars. Set up an appointment, they did not show and no phone call. Called back, they told me they would be there first thing the next morning, arrived half-hour late only to say the job was "too big" and would need to come back in the afternoon, which they never did. Called the office and they suggested I call another plumber! Wow, top-notch customer service. Way to go, G&L!

I sent my 70 year old mother here after getting a couple referrals. She bought a house a couple of years ago and the plumbing inspector came to the house because the gas company was doing work in the area. They found a bunch of code violations that my mom was now responsible to fix. She got a court date to get the work done by. She called a couple plumbers and G&L agreed to do the job.

They then strung her along for 2 weeks saying they were going to come. Then a week before her court date told her they wouldn't do the job because it was "too messed up". They caused my mother alot of undue stress. Who else is she supposed to call and fix her code violations if not the plumber, they were of no help and have horrible customer service.

They came to install our new water heat tank in this june. Everything was fine until now. We found that the tank had water leaking from one of the pipes from top. The water damaged our basement floor and we could not stop it. Called many times to the company, either got no response or some sort of reasons sounds like they don't want to send their people to fix it.

We were very frustrated with the way they dealt with the issue, even if it was clearly the defect caused by installation. We eventually called another plumber in town who came to fix it within 30min. Of course, it caused us lots of money. But fortunately the problem was solved and we could do showering. Overall, we experienced with this company a unprofessional service and unacceptable response to our issues. I hope this would be helpful if people choose to use their service. We don't recommend this company.

I've just had a great guy named Tom, from this company who replaced my shower fixtures in a very clean and professional manner. He arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. I was very impressed and will be using their services again. Thank you.

We had Drain A Way camera our sewer pipe to find a problem with a leak. Prompt courteous service. They were able to find the problem and suggest way to rectify issue. Although we did not use G&L to fix problem they did come and give estimate on work that needed to be done.

During an emergency created by the owner's negligence, during a refurbish project for her unit, two water leaks came from her unit into our bathroom! The condo management called G & L, when another was unavailable. Boy were we happy! The other plumbing company, were used in the past and were unsatisfied with their work. We had inches of water from the bathroom flowing into the dining area and soaking the rug in front of the bathroom door.

Not only did they find the original issue, the water heater needed to be replaced, but found TWO other issues that caused the majority of the damage! A hole in the main pipe from the shower and a cracked toilet that was just newly installed! AKA it was dropped! We just had them come back to finish the unit above work from our still open bathroom ceiling that could not be closed due to moisture!

We now have to do a referb of our bathroom. So we may have them do our work. Update: They came back 2 weeks later and completed the job on the upper unit. No leaks since! Great work guys!

I needed a hose replaced on my dishwasher. The receptionist was very friendly and got a plumber to me the first thing the next morning. John was friendly and knowledgeable and took care of the problem right away. The price was far more reasonable than other plumbers and they were a joy to work with.

When, during my first winter as a homeowner, I found myself without heat, I was lost. My friend recommended G&L, who is also used at my place on employment. I called their after hours service and the technician was thoughtful in trying to identify the urgency of the issue and suggested I called in the morning when the rate would be lower, as I would make it though the night without an emergency.

I called in the morning and the gentleman again determined what the issue might be and put me on the list. I was a bit stressed that he could not tell me where I was on the dispatch list, however, given the cold spell, I understood. Within 90 minutes, I received a call that G&L were on their way. The technician Chris B. (as I can decipher from the bill) arrived with a high school student/apprentice and assessed the situation.

He was thorough in identifying the issue, while also taking the time to teach me about my boiler system and what might be the issue. He walked be through what he needed to do to determine the source of the issue and why he needed to do that. My boiler system had not been updated in a long time by previous homeowners and he pointed out some of the glaring issues. However, he expressed his awareness that he did not want to "rack up my bill, " a consideration that, as a young woman, is something I am always alert about. Chris and his apprentice were considerate of my space, friendly, courteous, and efficient.

They made didn't dally and explained every step of their process throughout the nearly 5 hours they were here. Once heat was restored, Chris provided a summary of items that I should consider replacing, as well as gave himself homework of doing research on an unusual equipment setup in my system. While I expected the bill to be high, I found it reasonable. Chris' consideration for my time (and therefore wallet) and ensuring I understood more about my heating system was invaluable.

While I hope I don't have any emergencies in the future, I am glad to have had the experience with G&L and feel assured knowing I have such a great company on speed-dial 24/7.

I have been using G&L for about 7 years. For the most part, they have been reliable and dependable in repairing my gas hot water heat system, although the cost for repairs has occasionally been much more than I expected. However, I recently contacted them to look at my garbage disposal and to fix a running toilet. After an hour, the plumber determined that he could not repair the disposal.

Then he had to go somewhere to get a part for the toilet, even though he knew in advance what the problem was with the toilet. They charged me $180, which essentially covers a plumber telling me he can't fix the disposal and then for his time to get a simple $9 part that should have been on his truck. This amounts to extortion in my opinion. Luckily we have moved to Georgia, so I won't need to deal with these guys again.

I have been using G&L Plumbing past 3 years and the quality has gone down drastically. Mid December 2018 i had an issue with water leakage i called G&L PLUMBING (Boylston, MA) for the service. The guy was on time and after checking he said i need to replace the old faucet with new one. I asked him the cost of parts and installation charges, he said approx $350, i asked him if its possible to get less expensive part but he insisted on the quality and said the price is fair.

I said ok and he brought the part and started installing it, when i was inspecting the part it seems little off to me so i asked him question, he started to get irritated and was answering rudely. After he finished installation he hands me a bill of $525, i was shocked and asked him how did the price increased so much, he said the part he got is expensive, i told him i should have been informed first if the price is changing so much and this is not fair and asked me to talk to their payment dept.

I called them and i explained everything to her, instead of being polite she was so very rude and said i will have to pay the amount and was not ready to listen to me. Then she suggested to uninstall it but then i have to pay for labour. My complain is the installation guy was not honest and was rude. I have the right to know if the price is going to change so much and if i have question i need to get answer so i have no doubt left. And the lady on phone was also very rude and must be polite when talking to customer. i will never recommend G&L PLUMBING (Boylston, MA) to anyone.

Had a great experience with John S from G & L. What a nice guy! Got the work done quickly and was super helpful. As a new-ish homeowner without a go-to it was nerve wracking reaching out to a company blindly but I will definitely be using them for all my future needs.

Best plumbing company in Worcester County! I've dealt with these guys on 5 occasions (first commercially and then personally). I wanted to install a tankless hot water heater in my home. Got "quotes" from Gem plumbing and a few other companies. Each company told me how terrible on demand systems are and that a new boiler would be MUCH cheaper. I received quotes from other people ranging from 13k to Gem at a whopping 16k!

A top of the line unit costs around 2k so they were quoting 14k in labor and additional parts. They were more than happy to sell me a new boiler at a mere 6k with an annual maintenance contract of course. I called G & L and they came over. They couldn't stop talking about how great tankless systems are. The gentleman I spoke with (I believe he was one of the owners) gave me a price of 3200 installed for a high end tankless unit.

They were on time, professional and did unbelievable work. I've had my heater for over 4 years and not a single problem with it. This thing paid for itself in about a year and a half. I'm going to install a tankless water heater for my heat and I wouldn't use anyone else but G & L. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS!

Worst experience ever. I have a unique, energy efficient furnace that only a few plumbers in the New England area are certified to service. My heat and hot water were both out of service and I needed someone to come quickly. I contacted G&L and they were pretty responsive and made an appointment to come take a look at what was going on. I explained what we suspected it was prior to the day of appointment.

The plumber arrived and spent the majority of his time on the phone with the customer support for the brand of furnace because he hadn't specifically worked on one before (or it had been a while, I don't recall specifics). He also didn't bring any parts and had to have someone from their warehouse deliver items later in the day since he came unprepared.

When he left, only half of the issue was resolved. I had heat - but still limited to no hot water at times. They also charged me an arm and a leg to "fix" the problem. When the issue was still occurring after a couple of weeks, I called them back and they indicated that it was probably the 3-way valve which he suspected last time but didn't replace.

He had to come back and would put it down as a follow-up appointment. I received a bill for 3 more hours of labor when he was only actually present for about an hour and a half. He once again showed up unprepared and had to go back to the warehouse to pick up parts even though he knew in advance what the issue was. He also had no idea how to fix the 3-way valve and my father had to show the man how to do it.

Do NOT call them. If they had to be on the phone with the service rep from the furnace company they are clearly not certified and any plumber could do that. They are a rip off. Don't do it to yourself.

After a horrible experience with a plumber out of Holden, I called G & L Plumbing for a water heater service call. Right from the beginning, starting with the gentleman who took the call, the female that called me back and John the plumber who arrived. Everyone was courteous and professional. John was very knowledgeable, professional, honest, and showed enthusiasm with his work.

I am 100% satisfied with G & L Plumbing and will recommend them to all my law enforcement friends in the county from here on out. And thank you again for changing the negative history that I had with a plumbing contractor to a most positive one for your industry. John R. is a definite asset to your establishment. Thank you, YS 2/15/12

Service on our Water Heater was ok, even though it broke two months later, I do think we needed a new water heater in the first place, but they tried to fix it first which I appreciate. The main downside to this company is the woman that answers the phone, she is a real piece of work! Very rude and sighs out loud as if you are bothering her or boring her!

They really need to get rid of her and I would do business with them again. But as long as she is answering phones and dealing with the front end of the business, they won't get mine!

I had an old drain that was clogged. I was referred to G&L by a contractor who did some work on my house. They were able to schedule a visit first thing on a Monday. The job was, as I suspected a tough angle to work at but the guy got it done. He even suggested a part i could pick up and do myself to save costs, instead of him having to make a billable 2hr trip to his warehouse. That's the kind of business I want to deal with! Very Pleased.
