Pat diagnosed our AC problem, explained it to us and repaired within 30 minutes. He had serviced our HVAC 7 years ago so we were pleased that Bud Matthews sent him to address our issue this time. This was our first time working with Bud Matthews and we couldn't be more pleased! They were quick to get someone over especially given that we are new clients. Rebecca and Tori handled the initial calls, Justin and Benjamin the service work at our house. All were helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Ben was so great! He explained everything that he was going to look at before he did any work. He seemed very educated in my entire appliance line. I had a Bosch microwave oven that occasionally was popping a breaker. I thought I would get ahead of the problem and have it check and repaired before it was a big problem. Again it was working 95% of the time. They came in thought the problem was the door switches so they changed them. After that it popped breaker as soon as the door closed. After repeated attempts to diagnose the problem they some how blew the control board!
Now I have nothing. The next day they called to say they can't get the board anymore so they are done. Now I have to replace the microwave for $2000. They say it's not there fault, the board was probably the problem. How convenient. I am stunned at the lack of accountability this place has. One star is to high a rating as far as I am concerned. Never again.

Our Whirlpool dryer died, which was quite inconvenient with two small children. I called Bud Matthews and they dispatched a technician within 48 hours. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable the technician was. He also was on time (does this ever happen?) and very professional. I will definitely use this company again if/when I have appliance repair needs. But now I need to catch up on a mountain of laundry with my as-new dryer!

The guys at Bud Matthews were great: they tried everything they could to repair our old dishwasher. And once they determined that they couldn't find a part that would work, they let us put the cost of the old repair towards the installation of the new dishwasher, which we really appreciated. Throughout the process, everyone we dealt with were friendly and always showed up right at the beginning of the given time interval, which made planning around the repairs very easy. Overall we'd be happy to hire them again for other jobs in the future.

Benjamin called me to inform me he was coming earlier if I was available. Never had that experience before and with a broken dishwasher even two hours was huge! Bud Matthews Service has been such a pleasure to work with. Their customer service from the young lady who answered the phones to the service tech Martin, were nothing short of amazing! Martin was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure he got my microwave fixed. I would highly recommend Bud Matthews Services and Tech Martin for any repair work you may need! They definitely have a return customer with me if I ever need a repair done again in the future.

One week before Thanksgiving I awoke to find that our refrigerator (which is only 4 years old) had completely stopped cooling. The company that the warranty people use couldn't even come out to look at it until the day before Thanksgiving (for which we were expecting 10 people for dinner). I called Bud Matthews and they sent out a repair person that day, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. They came back to repair it when the part came in, and it was fixed and cooling again before Thanksgiving. They did me right.

This firm is fraudulent. The plumber showed up at my home to fix a showerhead issue and stayed 15 minutes. He did not remove the part in question but said he would order a new part and come back. He never ordered the new part. The firm also would not tell me the model and make of the part so I could order it myself. I strongly suspect he did not know since he never removed the part - he just fiddled with his phone for 15 minutes and left. The firm keeps trying to charge me almost $200 despite making no progress on resolving my issue. It seems crooked to me and I suspect this is this business' MO.

I contacted Bud Matthews for HVAC service and my experience did not meet my expectations. Here are the details of the many issues I had and you can decide for yourself: 1) They performed a $300 repair without checking with me beforehand. 2) The $300 repair was for replacing a simple programmable thermostat which seems very expensive. 3) They do not credit the $100 diagnosis fee towards repairs performed so my thermostat replacement cost me $400. 4) Replacing the thermostat did not fix the problem so then they diagnosed a bad blower motor.
While it is certainly possible both things failed at the same time (thermostat and blower motor) it does raise questions. 5) They wanted $800 to replace the blower motor but did not check or ask me to check if it might be under warranty. It was under warranty and all you have to do is call in the model#/serial# to the manufacturer to confirm this. 6) When I told them the blower motor was under warranty they said they would check into it and get back to me.
Two days later I had not heard from them so I had another company order the free replacement blower motor and install it for about 30% of what Bud Matthews was ready to charge me. 7) To give credit where credit is due (thus the 2-star rating) replacing the blower motor did fix the issue.

I called on Wednesday for a dishwasher repair job. The call was handled promptly, efficiently and professionally, all possible charges being carefully explained. The appointment was for Thursday between 1 and 3. At 1:10, Luis the technician called and said he'd be there in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later, he arrived, and about thirty minutes after that, repairs were complete, at a (by today's standards) reasonable price. Totally and completely satisfied.

$$$$. Courteous, Professional, Capable, Expensive. $75 to show up + $200/hr (in 15 minute increments - i.e. $75 to show + $50/15 min). So thats $275/first hour. I used them for relatively minor residential plumbing issues - mainly hot water mixing valve inefficiency in master shower - took 30 min of work, so that was $175. The main problem I see with this type of pricing model is that you feel rushed to solve the immediate problem and don't want to spend any time talking about any potential larger issues. IMHO, this leads to short term thinking and places short-term profits over longer-term customer satisfaction.

Ricky Hales of Bud Matthews did a fantastic job of fixing my AC. Not only did he fix the broken prong of my AC but got a switch that would turn it on and off so I wouldn't have to plug/unplug each time (it sits high in the wall) - and went back and forth to the fuse box in the rain because the switch wasn't marked properly - on a late Friday afternoon. He clearly explained the charge. I will continue to use them for all my appliance and plumbing needs!

I've worked with both Bud and his son Noah for years, and found them to be responsive, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I love being able to call one company, no matter what needs doing in and around my house. The most recent project involved a new roof and gutter system, in addition to smaller improvements and repairs. Everybody who came to work on the house was professional and courteous, and the work done was excellent. It wasn't cheap, but I'm not interested in cheap, I want quality work that's going to last.

Bud's service representatives were punctual and cordial. They troubleshot a problem with our clogged dryer vent, trying different approaches when the first try didn't work to clear the line. They explained everything they were doing as they did it while we watched. They were very efficient and moved quickly to remove a huge wad of damp lint that was stubbornly stuck in the recesses of the rather long exhaust duct. We are and have always been pleased with their promptness, professionalism, courtesy, prices, and quality of work. Highly recommend!

They scheduled a plumber quickly to fix my problem, he was able to come earlier than scheduled which was great. Work is charged by the hour but I did not see any sign of the plumber trying to stretch out the time to make more money. Plumber went out of his way to make sure everything was working properly, even returning at no cost when we discovered that some of the items I purchased for installation were defective. Overall very happy with the work.

I wouldn't hire this company again. As far as I can tell the only thing I can say positively is that they SEEM honest - as far as whatever issue your unit is having. However, be prepared to deal with a lot of attitude, particularly if you are dealing with Bud himself. And be prepared to pay an outrageous price. What I was charged for a simple problem was unbelievable. I asked about why the bill was so much (after the work was completed) and there was no good answer. Live and learn, I will be finding another AC company.

We have used Bud Matthews for many years. His staff does good work and stands by what they have done. Recently a plumber fixed a leak under our sink to my husband's specifications. This required getting additional valves and other supplies. The next day, we noticed there was still a small leak. The plumber was here within an hour, fixed the previously hidden leak in just a few minutes, and there was no extra charge. He was very apologetic for missing this leak. Thanks for the good service!

These guys are excellent. The guys came out and were 5 minutes early and were quickly able to identify my problem with my BOSCH Diswasher. They did not want any money for the visit and indicated once the part arrives they will be back out and settle up at that time. Co, called me back within 1 week and once again they arrived 5 minutes early, quickly repaired my dishwasher and left the old part (on purpose), to show what the problem was and validating they actually made the repair. The visit was extremely reasonable. This company is run very well, from the customer service call, follow up. etc. EXCELLENT!
