Mike from CAL plumbing was so helpful with getting my washer/dryer all connected and is a nice, respectful, and knowledgeable guy all around. While he was here at my house in Linda Mar doing the washer/dryer, I mentioned that I was having an issue removing a wooden bench stuck in my wall. Mike immediately jumped to helping me despite me mentioning he did not have to do that.

It was not what I called him out to do but he just wanted to be a helpful guy, and I appreciate that so much. He found a super innovative solution for my problem, did not charge me extra, and was so kind throughout the whole process. Highly recommend Mike 5/5 and having him back to install bidets.

I am very fortunate to find Mike who is a very honest & knowledgeable professional. I got two quotes on other companies charging me $500-625 just to install a combination gas controller on my only 5 months old water heater. Mike was the only person offered to do the half hour job for $195 which the manufacturer approved the labor. When I showed Mike the other two companies quote, he couldn't believe there are many bad apples out there. I will use Mike for all the plumping job from now on! Strongly recommend!

Mike is the best plumber around! So many plumbing companies will rip you off and charge huge amounts more than the job should cost. Not Mike. He is honest and charges fairly and appropriately for the job. He only works Monday through Friday, so if an after hours or weekend emergency he won't work, but if your job can wait until he is available, you will get good quality work at fair prices from an honest plumber.

Mike came out for what was supposed to be a quick, easy faucet fix. It turned into a much more complicated full replacement, and he managed to do it in a very narrow time window. And he charged less than I was expecting. Was very good about masks and distancing for Covid. On top of that, he's a really cool guy. He's my go-to plumber from here on out.

I have been calling on Mike for years to help unclog sinks, find leaks, install water heaters.he has been my go to guy for my old house plumbing needs. Always reliable, knows his stuff and couldn't be nicer.

Water Heater installation Update: November 15, 2018 Mike came over yesterday afternoon as scheduled. Mike was very helpful. He had to hang in there with us, since the water heater arrived a couple of weeks late. Mike even attempted to get us the heater sooner, as Lowe's was having logistical problem getting the unit to us as promised. Within a couple of hours of Calplumbing arriving, we were up to our necks in hot water. Mike removed our 17 year old water heater, and installed the new 50 gallon, 5500 watt, 12 year warrantied A.O. Smith electric water heater within a couple of hours. We couldn't be happier. It' a great heater, and Mike has been 100% great from start to finish. Thank you very much.

Mike with Cal Plumbing is awesome! I just moved into a house with many Plumbing issues and so I've been searching for a reliable and trustworthy plumber(I've been through a few). Mike was easy to schedule with and his prices felt very fair so I didn't have stress about feeling overcharged at the end of each job! Everything works great and looks fantastic now. Thanks Mike! I needed a new water heater and wanted to upgrade to tankless. Mike was one of the first people to get back to me after calling multiple plumbers. He came out and talked options with me and spent extra time explaining what to expect. After getting multiple quotes he came in right in the middle but after talking with everyone else it was clear he cared about his craft and I felt most comfortable going with him.

I am very satisfied with the work. I am in the middle of hanging Sheetrock on the wall and he said he would come out and rework the pipe when I was done. Very happy. Highly recommend.

Mike Barbieri gave me my options and cost before starting the job. He helped me problem solve what would be a reasonable thing to do. He was patient and friendly. His work space was neat and clean when he left. He unseated and reset the toilet to retrieve a set of keys that had been flushed down. I would definitely call him again!

My bathroom sink was backing up and the toilet sometimes needed two flushes to empty. Mike looked at the problem and told me the toilet was OK and he brought in a heavy duty snake for the sink. Everything works beautifully now and his price was as quoted (and cheap!) While he was working in the bathroom, he discovered a leak that I thought was coming from the sink but it was actually coming from outside. He told me where to look to determine the place where the water was leaking in. What a pro and a nice guy.

Massive kudos to Mike. It was Thanksgiving weekend and we were down a toilet with a houseful of guests. I called FIVE other plumbers on the coast side and no one could service us until the following Monday. I got ahold of Mike within a few rings and he was at our doorstep within 30 minutes. Great service!

Just want to say that Mike is a knowledgeable guy and very fair with his pricing. He assisted with a line blockage and cleared it up. He was very careful while inside our home and made sure to clean up after as much as he could. I will definitely call Mike for all our future plumbing needs.

I can't say enough good things about Mike, truly. He came to my house today to give me a second opinion on a blocked sewer line that kept causing water to leak from the downstairs toilet onto the bathroom floor - a big mess. A different plumber came to take a look last weekend, and put a camera down the sewer line and found something blocking a section of the line, and his recommendation was that I hire him to tear up a section of the concrete in the basement so that he could replace the blocked section of the line.

Today Mike put his camera down the sewer line, found the same thing blocking the line, and with much persistence with the snake was able to dislodge the item that was causing the blockage and push it through the sewer line all the way to where the cleanout (opening to the sewer line, located in the driveway) is located, and then he removed it through the cleanout!

It saved me a lot of money and hassle, and I am so grateful. And Mike has been consistently responsive to my calls, friendly, patient, informative, and kind. I would recommend him to anyone. And, by the way, Mike was recommended to me by a contractor whom I trust 100% and who has done a lot of work on my house and on friends' houses over the years, and Mike was also recommended to me by the plumber whom I've hired a number of times in the past but who was not available to do this repair.

Mike has done three jobs for me (now four), 1. hooked up my sink in my newly remodeled bathroom, 2. diagnosed a leaking kitchen faucet then installed the new faucet, and 3. moved my garbage disposal from y left sink to my right sink. He was fro the most part on time and did as we scheduled when and how we agreed. He is easy to talk to. He is a good listener.

His work is solid and he does it with dedication. He has trouble finding people to work for him that are at his standards so he chooses to be busy as hell and not make as much money as he could directing a bunch of workers. He is dedicated to the quality. At the risk of him not being available to me when I need I strongly recommend him as a plumber.

I yelped Pacifica for plumbers, when I noticed one of my toilets had never shut off. Mike answered the phone and just happened to be available, as well as in the neighborhood. He came over, promptly corrected the problem and presented a very agreeable bill for his service. I will definitely be calling Calplumbing again.

Mike, the owner/operator, of CalPlumbing came out to give a free estimate on a broken pipe from the wash tub to the house main. He was prompt, honest, and gave me a no bull honest assessment of the situation. He gave me the fix-it quick, or the fix-it right price.; which only turned out to be a $100 difference. I told him to fix-it right, and he promised to return later in the day to do the work.

He arrived a little later than promised, but I know stuff happens during the course of the day and that it can't always be helped. The important part was he actually called to tell me he was going to be late, instead of just ignoring me like most service people have been known to do. Upon his arrival Mike went straight to work and fixed the whole deal in no time at all.

In fact he was so fast I asked him to take a look at my spray hose in the kitchen sink while he was here, and he did so without blinking an eye. He was able to diagnose the problem and fix it for pretty cheap. I also noticed he did a bunch of extra stuff that we hadn't talked about because the man is a consummate professional and wants to do the job right and doesn't feel the need to nickel-and-dime the customer for every little thing.

I was very impressed with his knowledge, friendliness, thoroughness, speed, and he was pretty cheap (considering the amount of work he did). I would not hesitate to call him again, or recommend him to a friend. Bravo, Mike of CalPlumbing. Bravo.

When the bathroom sinks started to back up in my 55-year old house, I tried to unclog them myself, but failed miserably. Mike showed up on time, answered my questions, was respectful of my house (& hardwood floors), fixed both sinks in less than 30 minutes, checked his work again before leaving AND did the work for the price he quoted, which was lower than the other plumbers I'd called. I would not hesitate to recommend him for plumbing or heating work!

So although we replaced _almost_ everything when we remodeled our house, we didn't do the 60 year old cast iron pipes. When they then failed at the worst possible time financially, we called Mike out. While other plumbers were quoting us $2-3k for the work - to do entire pipe replacements, to reroute the pipes around the house, etc. etc. - Mike saw that all we needed to do was replace the broken section.

When I explained money was a problem, Mike suggested things we could do to keep the price down (chiseling out the area around the pipes for a start). Mike came when scheduled, stuck to the estimate, and when a cracked tub drain came up during the job, ran down to the hardware store to get extra parts so we could get this all wrapped up. I have now recommended Mike to three of my friends, and I have found my new plumber. Good news - he's younger than me so he can't retire while I'll need plumbing work!

Mike has been doing plumbing on my house (100+ years old) in San Francisco for 14+ years. Mike has done everything from little projects to huge projects as we renovated over the years, including emergencies as old plumbing failed at inconvenient times. With an old house, when one starts a project, one never knows what you'll be truly facing until the project is started.

Many of these projects have been very complex, while we worked through what to do, how to do it, get plumbing permits, keep the cost in line, limit the amount of non-plumbing work needed, all while also keeping the house running so we can live in it through the projects. Mike is an extremely capable plumber, willing and able to do creative solutions that will last a very long time (I target a 45 year design/build life), manage costs/budget and work within our time constraints, all while ensuring the the end result meets or exceeds building codes. Mike is open and honest, there never are any surprises. Mike's work has always been top notch, and within my budget constraints. I recommend Mike without any reservations.
