The owners are really great guys! I would use this company for my house and business needs. Some people may say they charge more but they don't. When you go with a company such as American Vintage home, which doesn't employ one English speaking plumber, you will pay more since they take three times as long to figure out and complete the job. Both Andrew and Ron know their shit!

Ron Peterson runs an awesome business. So timely and complete. Has taken care of large jobs for me and some smaller jobs. Always excellent service and is there when they tell you they will be and his guys are very friendly! Thanks Ron!

When I was a renter my landlord used this company so when I bought my house and had an issues with both water spikets I called and Katie got an appointment for me the next day. Chuck came out and he was ON time which is very important to me, it tells me they are considerate of their customers time. He gave me my options and he replaced both spickets with some cooper ones with cute knobs, he also replaced my flapper in my half bath.

He was fast and neat, he left the areas clean and the price was totally reasonable. He was respectful of my home and lawn, he even came back out right away when I thought it was a leak but it wasn't. Katie is very nice and professional and I've met a few of them from when I rented. I highly reccommend this company not only because they provide Great work but because their rates are fair and they have an A+ rating with the BBB and is recommended on the BBB website and that says a lot. The only Plumbing Service I will use.

We needed our water heater replaced and they were completely amazing. The service was scheduled quickly, which is exactly what you want when your water heater is on the fritz. They completed the work at a great price. They explained the job from start to finish, with an accurate quote, before beginning the job. Their staff was truly outstanding! From the office staff who scheduled the appointment to the technicians who completed the replacement, they were incredible. This is the place to call for all of your plumbing needs!

Called Ernie Peterson Plumbing upstairs tub leaking downstairs in door frame. They showed up on time fixed the valve that was leaking saved me cutting hole in ceiling as well. Honest fair price. I will call them next time as well. Very pleased. Chuck was clean and quick. Thanks EP.

Great crew for gas water heater install. About $1,200 all in. Very professional. Nice guys. American made equipment. Done in about 2.5 hours Up to Village of Gurnee code. Great doing business with Ernie Peterson. They've been a standard my family has used for decades. Highly recommended.

Had an excellent experience today. My kitchen faucet needed to be replaced. I was able to make an appointment for the first spot the day after I called. They were upfront about the costs as much as they could be over the phone. And I did end up paying what they quoted me. Keith was very professional and courteous. Even though this my not have been one of the hardest jobs ever, they sure made my life a lot easier. I would definitely call them again if needed.

Had a upper bath faucet that wouldnt stop running. Because of plumber bill phobia, we kept trying to address it ourselves. Big mistake, gas and water bill skyrocketed. Finally, called Ernie Peterson Plumbing. Sent over top notch plumber who didnt rip us off. He took care of the issue efficiently and was personable and professional. Bill was a fraction of other quotes and guess what.? Its still fixed. Will be using them for bath remodels if the numbers work out.

Called them twice this week with two separate issues. One was an emergency and they got someone there that day. Both issues required "creative" solutions and both plumbers did an exceptional job. Cost was reasonable and service was excellent. Highly recommend!

I've used Ernies on a few occasions and have nothing but positive to say. Very professional and fair prices. The latest was my sump pump took a header at 6am. I made a call at 6:30 and Ernie's was there by 7:00 to fix the problem. Excellent!

Had an excellent experience at every pass with Ernie Peterson's. I loved my technician, Chuck. Totally trusted his work. Appreciated his professionalism. Didn't question my final bill at all. Had several plumbers come out to give an estimate on a major plumbing problem. All gave us an estimate with no charge. Ernie Peterson came out, never gave us an estimate but charged $135 for a service call. When we called and asked for the estimate, it was never given but was told we must pay the bill. They did say they called with questions and we did not call back. We never got a call and couldn't get the questions when we called and questioned the bill. We have used them in the past but they have certainly lost our business.

I manage 20 plus single family homes in the Lake County area and this review is LONG overdue. After several years of not finding a plumber that served us well - I found Ernie Peterson Plumbing and never looked back. I roughly just counted my service tickets for 2017 for maybe 8 months or so; it looks like they helped us out at least 35 times. They are extremely easy to work with.

I advise what I think the issue is and Katie the office manager takes it from there. She contacts the tenant and sets the appointment, which makes my life easier. My tenants have taken notice of the new plumbing company and the guys that come out to their homes to perform services. The guys are ALL polite, respectful and even make sure they do not make a mess or track anything in the house.

All that being said, they evaluate each issue and get back to me to see how we want to proceed. They have completed all kinds of jobs for us from a simple running toilet that needs a new assembly all the way to digging up a basement to remove an item that had no place in the plumbing lines that had backed up the entire house. There service has always been prompt and the guys are professional.

The work is superior to the many plumbing companies we have used over the years. They do not seek out items that "might" need repair. I have found them to be honest, prompt, professional and some of the most RESPECTFUL folks I have ever dealt with in any trade. We have NOT had even one callback for any job they have completed for us. Over the years we have found that plumbing jobs should not be "side jobs", short changed or short cuts. Plumbing is one of those trades that you get what you pay for.

They have always been upfront on pricing, they are very fair priced and are market competitive. I really do not think of Ernie Peterson Plumbing as a contractor; I see them as a Partner. I am thankful that I found them.

If you are looking for an honest, reliable and very friendly plumbing company then Ernie Peterson is the company you should call. We just purchased a used home which needed a fair amount of work. Brett was really great. He gave us a sense of security that our home is in great shape after all of the work he put in. These are genuinely good people. They have been in business for 50 years for a reason. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing a little or a lot of work. Do yourself a favor and call Ernie Peterson first!

Since 1997 I have used Ernie Peterson Plumbing several times at the various houses I have lived at. Over those years they have rated five stars in my book, until yesterday. I called them out to rod out the floor drain in my basement, which they had done for me three times in the past nine years. It was last done in 2014 at a cost of $187 for 90 minutes.

Yesterday it cost $387 for 90 minutes! I called to inquire if I was charged correctly and was told floor rodding costs $295 for the first hour and $135 an hour after that. A $200 price jump in three years seems a little excessive. Shame on me for not asking how much it cost beforehand, but having dealt with them for so long, I assumed it would be the same price, or close to the same price, as in the past. I may use them again in the future, but I'll now be calling others to price compare first. No more calling them and just telling them to come out and do it.

My mother is a customer of Ernie Peterson Plumbing having just needed a few jobs done in her kitchen for two new items. They did good work and gave her a fair price for parts and labor. But most of all she felt safe letting them into her house. I would recommend Ernie Peterson Plumbing.
