I had a clogged sink and tried everything to unclog it. Finally realizing that I need a professional I called Aspinwall Plumbing. I've heard about them through friends. The day I called I spoke to a very nice woman who gave me an appointment that day. Two very nice young men Andrew and Thuan came. Both very professional and explained everything they were going to do.

Andrew Roussell is our "go to" technician at Aspinwall for all of our plumbing needs here in Marina Bay, Quincy. He has assisted us with many, many improvements throughout the home from a new furnace to bathroom and kitchen needs and updates (pictures attached of some of the work he has helped us complete). I had a problem with my toilet. I had called his people up in the past and they told me to go to Boston drain for my problem. This time they would NOT come that day that I was OFF. They wanted to come the next day and since I work like any normal person I asked them to come after three, not exactly 3, anytime after three! Many places close at seven so that should have been fine. However, the lady on the phone told me her last booking is at two so they could stop working by four.
Most people get out of work five or 6 o'clock. To stop taking appointments at two is ridiculous. I don't care what they say now, that is what the lady on the phone told me. After they told me that, I went to Casper and they fixed it immediately. I saved money on the water that was leaking.

We called Aspinwall to repair our heating system. The issue was the circuit board. They had to secure the part. Two techs, Jake and another guy whose name I forget, arrived and replaced the board. They did a great job. They arrived when they said they would. Both were very knowledgeable and explained the situation clearly so I knew what was going on.
Most importantly, they fixed our heat on a bitter cold day. Updated review: we called Aspinwall for another issue with our heating system. Danny and another tech came this afternoon. They were here most of the afternoon double and triple checking everything to make sure the system was running as it should. They ended up having to swap out a couple of parts, one of which was under warranty. Both were really professional, very polite and very knowledgeable about the job. I would recommend Aspinwall to a friend.

I have used Aspinwall Plumbing for 19 years, mainly for annual heat pump maintenance. EVERY time, without fail, I received top-notch service. The technicians were knowledgeable, reassuring, patient and friendly. I am the type of person with a lot of questions, and the technicians did a terrific job translating mechanical complexities into layman's terms. Today, I had my hot water heater replaced by Tommy R.
Once more, an Aspinwall technician arrived promptly and proceeded to confidently address the task at hand. Tommy also had a friendly demeanor and answered my questions despite being on a tight schedule. I also want to commend the administrative staff, especially Kathy. She was patient, kind and knowledgeable. Same for Diana, whom I communicated with in the past.
More positive feedback: this past May I needed to have my central air looked at, as it was oddly blowing hot air despite being on the "cool" setting. Although my heat is working fine, the unit is extremely old and the technician Jake determined that the part that toggles the heat setting to the air conditioning was corroded. Since the unit was so old, the intricate part was not available from the manufacturer.
He escalated the case to the service manager. I am not sure, but I think his name is Gene. A few days later Gene called me and broke the bad news: numerous calls to different part suppliers yielded nothing. Essentially, it was either 1) replace the whole unit to the tune of 10K or 2) swelter. I am a hot-weather lover with a very high heat-tolerance, so I chose option 2. However, he offered suggestions for me.
I ended up buying a hyper-charged Vornado fan that more than adequately kept me cool at night. In sum, Aspinwall has been in business as long as they for a reason: GOOD, CUSTOMER-FOCUSED service. Thanks! Mary

The initial text & email announcing the employee was on his way was a good start, having his picture shown was a nice safety feature. Upon arrival he was very polite & professional, quickly recognized that my initial repair attempt was obviously poorly done, I bought and installed the wrong part! Once he got the right part, a quick run to the store / shop, he had my shower leak fixed in no time. Cleaned up the minimal mess he made doing the repairs, asked if we were satisfied & if we had any questions. Would highly recommend Aspinwall & definitely use them again if / when my personal repairs don't get the job done!

The price gouging with Aspinwall Plumbing is insane! I used them two years ago for plumbing work in Quincy and they were great to deal with and charged a fair price. That was then. I used them last week to replace a kitchen faucet and snake a bathtub drain. The work took a total of 1.5 hours. They charged $500 to replace the kitchen faucet and $400 to snake the drain. Never, ever again!

Nice people who helped me with the purchase of a beautiful gas fireplace and everything needed to install last fall. Mike even came to the construction site to see what I needed to purchase for venting. My contractor wasn't ready to install the unit until the following summer. I made numerous calls to them to try ry and get installation support to no avail. Mike told me I could pay an hourly rate for someone to come out and help with the install but after that I couldn't get a call back from Mike. Not such a good feeling after spending over 8K with them.

ETA: Owner called in response to my review and refunded the visit. I appreciated the call and wasn't looking for a complete refund - just a fair price for the actual work and time involved! Results and customer service = five stars. Fair and transparent pricing = no stars. Would be a great experience if they could work out their pricing model.

My Lennox thermostat is dead and need to file a warranty claim and get it replace. All along I have trust in Aspinwall and thought the company is doing honest business and will be upfront with me regarding any cost/rates of for the job. They never mention anything about labor fee so I thought it was all covered under the warranty claim. I got to admit it was part of my fault for not asking for clarification.
In addition, I got charged for the times where your technician has to make multiple trips to my home due to miscommunication between Aspinwall and Lennox regarding how the warranty claims process supposed to be. The process should have well thought out before the scheduled multiple visits in which caused inconvenience during this pandemic period. Overall, it was a very bad experience, and got overcharged.
This will be the first and last business I will do with Aspinwall. Updates: I got reached out by Chris (the owner) to understand the situation. At first, I thought it was just a business call for justification and clarification. However, Chris stated that the company values its customer experience and feedbacks and decided to waive all the fees. I didn't see this coming as this is above and beyond my expectation.

SOOO this crap company decided to get back to me after seeing my review. I already found someone to do the COMPLETE project for a little over 11K. Aspinwall gave me several options ranging from 17K+ to 20K+ but those quotes do not include other things that are needed to complete the job. Additionally, Aspinwall told me several times over the phone and via the technician that parts are backlogged 8-12 weeks due to covid. However, the company I hired had zero problems getting all the necessary parts. None.
So not only is Aspinwall unprofessional & unresponsive, they're also a greedy ass company that overcharges. They also want each and every job and will leave you waiting due to a fictitious covid related "backlog." Anyone who has been to a store will see that shelves have TP, masks, hand sanitizers, pasta and all the other things that left shelves empty early on during the pandemic. It's disgraceful to use a worldwide tragedy to try to keep potential clients hanging on.
Some people will sell their souls for money I guess. I've worked with money hungry traders for 20 years so I know some real assholes but these folks at Aspinwall are real assholes. They should add another S to the company name.

Awful. I had two simple issues: leaking faucet and toilet not completely flushing. I contacted them, and they said they charge $175 an hour, prorated in 15 minute increments. Guy came out and worked for an hour and a half on both, replaced the flapper and fill valve, no other material cost. Said total came to $500. I asked how could that possibly be?
He said he would give me a deal and remove cost of materials, and it would only come to $420. I was working from home on an emergency conference call, and didn't have time to think it through, so stupidly (which is what they count on, I suppose) I paid it. I called next day and asked to speak to manager, asked for explanation of the cost. They told me that was the manager, and he would call me back. Never did. Don't use, they overcharge.

Update: That offer was never made and if it were it's no longer on the table according to the receptionist that I spoke with today (not surprised). Reimbursing a customer because the company you own did something wrong, unsafe and in violation of code is what a honest company would do. That's obviously not a value you or your company have. Aspinwall is total crap! They ruined my life. Me and my husband got new kitchen appliances. A plumber came and did a shitty job, kept saying he wants to go home and for 30 minutes couldn't get the dishwasher to work because he didn't pull the switch on! He tried to charge us for that time. Then we ask for someone else to come fix the stove they couldn't get to work and they canceled on us. not once but twice!
Christmas is coming and my family is expecting a damn meal I can't even cook! I will NEVER deal with this shit company again! Also my husband called out sick for their stupid butts. We have jobs a-holes!

Had a great experience with this company with my hvac about a month ago. So I moved to a new house and called for my plumbing services. Main issue was lack of hot water in a bathroom however I wanted quotes on a few other moderate sized projects. Waited the first day and then they call and say they are busy and can't leave a job which I understand. I'd hope they wouldn't leave my job unfinished.
They then state that they will be here the next morning btwn 8-10. 10:30 rolls around and so I call but have to leave a message for someone to call me back. Person calling back then states I tried calling this morning due to sick calls and being swamped would you like to reschedule? This is now 11:15am. I mean really? I'm reasonable and if they had in fact called I may not be writing this post.

I have been using Aspinwall for my home for a few years now. They come on time and they do what they say they are going to do. The technician is friendly, honest and was very informative. I have had new fixtures installed, unplugged a clog that I thought was never going to come out, and recommended that I turn down my hot water thermostat so as to not scold anyone. I would recommend this company. Of all the plumbers that I have used in the past. They are far superior.

Very disappointing service. I called for my elderly mother who needed to have her main drain looked at due to leaking happening in the old original pipe. I called set-up an appointment for the next day. Waited all day no-call no-show. The there was there a follow-up. No a good way to run a business. Would not recommend. Found another plumber whom was on-time with all commitments and extremely knowledgeable.

Installed a hot water heater. I purchased the extended warranty, have their invoice paperwork to prove it. It started leaking after six years. They refused to replace it, saying I didn't have the extended warranty. As a single woman, I feel I was taken advantage of by this company. The owner refused to help me even after seeing my proof of the extended warranty. He just took my money and then ignored me. A warning to everyone not to hire this company.

I had major leak in 2 family house between upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. My regular plumber looked at it and said it was too difficult for him and my back up plumber said he could not tackle it for at least a week. Meanwhile my tenants were being forced to take showers elsewhere. My third call led me to Aspinwall (my friend recommended them). Aspinwall was very responsive from answering my call to getting a plumber out to evaluate the problem.
They set-up two days to do the job and started and finished the job as planned. The plumber was professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Everything was nicely cleaned up after the job was completed. Needless to say, they are now my go-to plumber for all my need

No thanks. I tell them the history of building's issue with plumbing. That the pipes that leads away from other condo's above us has clogged before a few years back. Which in turn causes clogs in our pipes, and has clogged leaking in our bathroom. This is because we're in the first floor of the building. All the guy does is snake the toilet that is clogged, tell us we need to contact the unit above us about issues with their piping. $150 for all that "hard work" Really?
They didn't even check for other possible issues. They did something I already attempted and I have to convince units above me to check their pipes in which they'll probably charge each one $150+ just for visiting. Cash Grab clearly. It doesn't help that the condo's management group is lazy, but that's a totally different story.

Amazing work! Can't say enough about this company. After searching high and low and dealing with numerous plumbing companies that kept telling me that it was a tough and expensive job, I ran into Lou, owner of Aspinwall Baystate plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning in Quincy, Ma. They not only came out a couple of times and took a look at the job but he gave me a reasonable estimate and without hesitation took the job that a lot of well known plumbing companies refuse to take. Lou and Tom always answered my calls, as well as all my question.
Now that's how you run a business. Companies shouldn't shy away from a tough job. In my opinion it speaks volumes of the type of company he's running. Just have to say it again, amazing company, great employees and beautiful work! Thank you Lou and your employees. And a big shout out to TOM the man for being so patient.
