Services
There are many plumbing companies located here in the Cincinnati area, so why should you choose G & R Plumbing? The reason is the level of service that we provide. We offer exceptional plumbing services by exceptional plumbers. We are a company that puts our customers first, and that is reflected in everything that we do.
G&R Plumbing provides plumbing services for residential, commercial and industrial customers. The installation of a new drain pipe can be difficult to install on your own. Our licensed tradesmen will get it done quickly while also taking into consideration the looks of the project. We service most makes and models of garbage disposals systems in homes that are leaking or producing excessive noise.
We have been a family-owned and operated business for over four decades. See what our clients are saying about our dependability, craftsmanship and professionalism. Randy & Adam went above and beyond for my main sewer line backup. Other plumbers didn't show, wouldn't respond, quoted me for sewer line replacement, Randy & Adam showed up right when they said they would, did their own due diligence and discovered my main line was not crushed and could be cleaned and treated without replacement!Their expertise saved us thousands!

Adam with G&R Plumbing was very professional and was a huge help when we discovered a sink clog with broken disposal unit. He came in and got right to work, was very knowledgeable and answered the questions I had regarding best practices with our plumbing going forward. He was very quick and left zero mess for cleanup. Great experience all around.

By the recommendation of a neighbor, we had four issues we wanted addressed by G&R. We had poor water pressure, two utility drains had had leaks and our water heater was not hot enough. 1&2) The water leaks in the utility sinks seemed to have disappeared since I looked at them a couple of weeks prior. 3)Per Adam, he adjusted the water pressure "down" to 80 psi as it was actually too high. Strangely enough, the internal water pressure did visually increase.
Not sure what happened there. I am not sure if his adjustment just allowed the water to flow? I'm not sure but we now had normal water pressure. 4) Adam, the apprentice (by our request and the advisement of Randy) adjusted the water heater temperature up past the 125F (even though we only get 105F at the tap). That helped as in 10 minutes it was noticeably warmer.
It was now at 125F. Randy recommended we replace the expansion tank as they typically only last 5 years and he said ours was bad. For $280, he would replace the tank. I didn't second guess it and said "okay". I understand they need to be paid for something. It took them less than 10 minutes to get the tank and replace it. As my wife was getting them a check, I was surprised to learn that the visit was $630!
The trip fee of $165 is NOT waived even though they did true work! The $280 was the price just for the tank, plus the labor. We later found that this a $40 part at any plumbing or home supply. Per Randy, "They are all the same and only last 5 years." Randy kept "selling" saying he does a lot of work in these upscale neighborhoods. He wanted to sell us a water treatment system, but he could not get due to lack of supply.
All he was doing was looking for a way to make more money! Two days later, we had no hot water. I called up and spoke with Adam as he was on call for Saturday work. He said that it would likely need a new water heater costing $1400 to $2400. We asked if the service call charge would be waived. He said No. I called a new plumber! He came out and reset the water heater. We have hot water now. No charge! Never again will I use G&R!

BE VERY WARY OF PRICE GOUGING AND HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE G & R PRACTICES! After requesting replacement of a garbage disposal they installed 13 yrs ago, Adam and Randy Partin arrived. A gouging invoice for $1132, yes, you read that correctly, $1132 was presented for a routine 20 minute job. Even a 20+ year Certified Clermont County plumber said an $1132 disposal "better clean my toilet, wash and dry my clothes and mow my yard".
A summary of the unsavory practices disregarding reasonable behavior follows:. Ignored Ohio Consumer Protection Laws requiring notification of right to written estimate in advance. Provided no product options with varied pricing in advance. Reputable companies typically offer at least 3 options from a lower to higher price. Another certified Clermont plumber called not doing so "messed up". Provided no services rendered or product description, even when requested in writing afterwards!
Upon checking on my own, the unit provided is a standard non premium model. Cynically and comically refer to $1000 ($999) as the Standard Price and $900 ($899) the "Value Price" offered on the invoice. Their pricing more than doubles industry norms on google. In addition, they even refused to answer my question regarding what they feel is the average price for a normal certified disposal replacement in Cincinnati.
They also charged $159.50 for a "service call" when no analysis or diagnosis required, rendering the at least double ordinary total price of $1132 for equivalent product and service. Typically, reputable companies notify a service call charge prior to coming. No such pronouncement was ever made!. There are numerous internet review references to gouged pricing relative to seniors.
I happen to be 65+. Yelp reviews mostly all negative. Attempts to settle have been largely ignored. Minimal responses have not addressed these specific practices. They offer only evasive generalities about years in business, having other happy customers, providing a fair price (at least double the going rate) for work done, just review your invoice (has no detail of work or product provided), they're sorry they can't please everyone, etc. And of course, they're hiding behind their attorney now with legal action pending. IN SHORT, FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER!

Randy and Adam did a fantastic job on our water main replacement. They came out a day earlier then scheduled and knocked out the entire job within 3 hours. Water was only down for roughly an hour. Great quality at a great price. Would recommend them to anyone looking to get it done right without getting ripped off. Open and honest 2 way communication the entire time. No surprises.

Recently acquired an older house with several gas and plumbing issues, These guys are fast and very competent. Dealing with several difficult circumstances, (massive root structure in sewage lines) was no problem for these guys. Had all the right equipment. They actually respond to your inquiries fast, which is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Fast, great work, and reasonably priced service. I would recommend them to anyone.

CAUTION! DO NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR HOUSE! READ GOOGLE AND OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT RFEPUGNANT GOUGING! G&R may actually stand for Gouge & Ripoff! I was presented a bill for $1132 for a Garbage Disposal replacement taking about 20 minutes! Never be fooled by their saying have so many customers and how long they have been in business. They will treat some customers decently then cowardly hide behind them as they gouge others! True Con Men!

Randy is a great guy. He was punctual and efficient. He took care of my plumbing issue, then helped me disarm an annoying alarm. He was very generous with his time and smiled the entire time he was here. In all honesty, I may have overpaid for what he did, but I usually do business with people with whom I establish a relationship. If I like the person, and the services are high quality, that's what I pay for.
I feel like I could call him with any problem and he would either help me or point me to a reputable person or company that could. He's a reason I like this community I have recently moved to. I will keep his number handy. You should, too.

DO NOT CALL THESE THEIVES! I would never have called them if I would have read all the negative reviews first. I made an appointment with them, took the day off and waited. Nobody showed up or called. I don't mind paying extra to get something done but when they don't show or call back, that is just horrible business and I don't have time for that. I'm going to spend the next few hours trying to save others from what I went through.
This is why I have lost all my faith in America. Nobody will do anything for the next guy. I can replace the toilets and showers myself but I didn't want to take the time to do it. If I would have known they weren't going to show up I could have already done it myself. I tried to keep America working but not anymore. Let the country collapse and let China take over. I don't care anymore. There is nothing good left in this country. G&R Plumbing is just an example of what this country is all about. A total failure!

I called these guys out because my old sewer line had been draining slowly. Turns out there were lots of tree roots in the line and they had separated the sewer line. I was able to see the problem areas with their camera service, so I knew exactly what was going on. They came back a couple of days later to replace my sewer line with PVC pipe. I'll definitely recommend this company to friends and family. Easy to work with and reasonably priced. Thanks!

They even showed up earlier than they scheduled for final repairs and got the repairs done quick and easy and they even cleaned up after themselves. If your in a serious situation and you need someone to respond professionally call G&R and ask for Randy & Adam, I wish I called them first.

Great job, very prompt, showed up within 3 hours as promised. Then they price gouged me. 15 minutes of work, a $5 pvc elbow $470. Thanks, but I'll check elsewhere next time. I didn't read the reviews prior to calling these guys, but I wish I had. He commented on our cars (we have two nice cars), so I totally believe he jacked up the price. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought the charges would be that much.so I never asked up front. Buyer beware.

Randy from G&R plumbing charges outrageous prices. He feel he took advantage of my 80 year old mother. He charged her over $141.00 to fix a handle on her toilet. I was out of the state or I would have fixed it in 5 minutes after buying the $5.00 part. She could have bought a new toilet for that price. I told her to never call him again and to also warn her friends. This is not the first time I have heard that he overcharges people. I told my mother to never call this man again and to warn her friends as well.

G&R was called by my 88 year old mother, to come out due to her toilet not flushing fully. "Randy" (owner?) ran service call, charged her $159.50. Then told her her toilet was broken and removed and replaced with Mansfield 2 - piece toilet that retails for about $150. He charged her $675 installed. Then, claimed to have "rebuilt" the copper flange under the toilet and charged $295.
Total bill including tax to replace a lower cost toilet came to $1208.60. The repair took approximately 1 hour. He did not give her an estimate before doing the repair. When called about it, he responded angrily, saying he's been in business 30 years. He offered no remedy. Avoid this company.

This company has bad business practices. They claimed they fixed my leaking toilet and "guaranteed" it for 30 days. When it started leaking again in few hours, I called to have them come back and they claimed I must have sat on the toilet too hard and broken it, which is strange since it had not been used. They then said the problem was not fixable.
A different plumber I called out was shocked to see the G & R "fix" was a wax seal inside the tank, which was no fix at all. The real fix was replacing a part, something the "plumber" at G & R could not figure out. Save yourself aggravation and find a different plumber.
