Hockers installed a new garbage disposal for us. Initial appointment scheduling was easy, appointment was scheduled quickly, and price wasn't terrible versus other quotes we'd received. However - 14 months later, the power cord on the disposal went bad. Typically warranties last 2-4 years for garbage disposals for my understanding, but we were not so lucky. We were charged $148 to replace the faulty cord.

Gary, and Hockers are the best Plumber and Company I have ever dealt with, We have had 2 different plumbing projects and He was on it in a heartbeat, We have a 3rd and We WON'T have anyone else work on it, I won't call anyone else!

I called Hockers because I had a problem with a drainage back-up in a washing machine I had recently installed in my rental property. I was out of town. I called them because they had installed a water heater for me last year. Due to a cancellation they were able to respond to my service request almost immediately. The technicians could not pinpoint a reason for the back-up but systematically flushed as much water down the drain line as possible to see if they could replicate the problem.

I was told that it was most likely a temporary clog. They left a point of contact for someone who specializes in drain cleaning. I was charged $187.79 for that service call. Hockers is expensive but so were the other companies I called. I will say in both my dealings with them that they showed up almost immediately.

The service person Robert was excellent. He explained things well as to what he was doing and why. He walked through how to use the new heater and how to read the codes on the control box. He hauled away the old tank and cleaned up the area he had worked in. Hockers got us taken care of faster than if I had tried to do myself. $200 to get a new main shutoff valve installed. Nice staff, easy booking process. Quick service and they worked directly with the city to get it shutoff to work on. Garrett, the plumber, was efficient and timely. Recommended highly.

We have called Hockers for our plumbing issues for 19 years. They have always been curious, friendly and very reliable. I had a plumbing issue yesterday and they were here today. I had a scheduling conflict today. I called them early and told the friendly ladies at the office. She got ahold of the plumber he switched his schedule to fit me in earlier. Thank you very much for your outstanding service over the years. You want to call these people. You won't regret it.

Excellent service, quality workmanship, fair prices and timely scheduling are reasons an excellent rating. They schedule an appointment with you on the first call. Workers show up on-time, carefully listen, are diligent and clean up any messes. We have done some remodeling and have had Hockers out several times. Would recommend to any residential customers.

Had used this company when I had apartment rentals but stopped using them after the people I referred them to were unhappy about them installing a toilet too far from the wall. My usual plumber wasn't available, so despite not using Hockers for a number of years thought I'd give them another try. Called and they couldn't tend to my plumbing needs the same week as the call.

Oh well, scheduled for the next week. Problem couldn't wait so I called Hockers first thing in am of appt and got an answering machine. Left message to cancel appointment. Later that day had a message that they would like to come earlier than originally scheduled. As a courtesy, I called t hem back to remind them of the cancellation but instead was put on hold for 5+minutes.

I hung up, called them back again, and told them I couldn't wait but called first thing that day and left a message saying I had cancelled the appointment. Person answering phone said they had not listened to messages yet that day.it was about 11 am. For $177?/hour, you'd think they'd be able to provide better service. Nope.

Just needed some water meter work done. Great value considering the work to be completed and the level of professionalism I received. I will definitely be using them for future work!

Woke up to find one of my hot water heaters had started to leak. Called Hockers at 8:15 am and a plumber was at my house with a new water heater at 9:30. Very professional service. I found my new go-to plumbing company!

This was my first time using them and it just wasn't the best impression. It did seem the owner and the plumber seemed to do decent work. The plumber was able to work on a really old fixture that most plumbers were only able to put temporary fixes on, so it was nice to have someone who looked like they could do a solid job. However, dealing with some of their people just isn't worth the headache.

When I talked to them about the work I needed done, I asked for the quote in writing. It seems like common sense to me, and I rarely do business without one. We were using e-mails for this communication. I was dealing with Terry for the quote and billing. In the communications I was asked if it was ok to move forward. I replied asking for confirmation of the quote.

I never got a reply but they moved forward with the work. (the tenant living there was handling the meetings with the plumber). I didn't even know things were done until I got an invoice, which was for a lot more than was discussed. I pointed this out to Terry as I had it in writing. I don't think she handled it very well and I was really, really, unprofessional.

I think it's more than fair to ask someone about an incorrect bill, ( especially when you have the discussions in writing) without having them get that way. I know times are tough but she definately didn't win a new customer. ( I initally asked them to quote out some additional work but since then have changed my mind).
