Last night our basement heat stopped working, so this morning I reached out to a few companies to see who could come out to take a look. There were some companies I never heard back from, and others who couldn't get someone here for a month. When I called Jim Twombly, someone actually answered the phone and was helpful! They were able to schedule an appointment for me two days out, but then called when they had a cancellation came up & asked to come today!
The technician Fred was helpful and polite. We had self-repaired some of the issues that came up earlier in the day, and rather than looking for things to fix so he could charge us more, he was very honest, only replaced what needed to be replaced, and was out in less than 2 hours. The bill was incredibly reasonable. I would recommend Jim Twombly to anyone who needs plumbing or HVAC work done!

Highly recommend! Dylan from Jim Trombly did a great job and is extremely knowledgeable. I called them for a 2nd opinion after Heritage Plumbing and Heating red tagged my propane boiler and told me I needed $3,800 worth of work. Dylan came cleaned it and said he couldn't believe Heritage red tagged it. He fixed 2 Hy-Vents cost $51 in parts and 2 hours of labor after cleaning and going through everything very thoroughly. He said the burners had some rust but were in working condition. He saved me $3,500 and now I am a client of Jim Trombly for life.

A DIY bath make over required a new vanity and toilet. more work that I able to do. Called and scheduled the work order including adding additional kitchen water/dish washer shut off valves. Two techs arrived and with in the time quoted.finished the job. Professional in every way. Highly recommend the firm. Services: Toilet installation, Plumbing pipe repair

This was an average for me. There were many pluses but also a lot of negatives. 1. it took forever to get someone booked to come do the work. I emailed and called and it would take days to hear from someone. 2. The plumbers were late on the first day by 2 hours. Which then they tried to play catch up and was rushing around. 3. There was an issue that occurred and while it wasn't their job to fix it they kind of just stood there waiting to see what i can come up with (it was a new situation for me so i didn't know what to do) 4.
The plumbers were very nice don't get me wrong, they did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. But running late, rushing, causes concerns and errors that will be missed. Also we had them replace our drywall from what they cut out, my wife's colleague came to fix it because it wasn't done right. So i paid more money for not so great work.

Had them come out to give a quote on replacing my old boiler with a new condensing boiler. I had already chosen the boiler I wanted and they were willing to listen to why I wanted that boiler and were willing to source the boiler and install it per my request. I had 5 other quotes for the same job from other companies in the local area and some of those companies tried to sell me a solution that wouldn't be as good as my proposed option and when they would agree to install the boiler I chose, it was always significantly more expensive. and in some cases DOUBLE the cost. Jim Trombly's gave me a fair quote and price for the work that was performed. Frank also called me the next day after giving me the quote to let me know I qualified for additional energy rebate that I didn't know existed.
He didn't have to let me know about the rebate but it saved us a ton of money. The new system was installed in 2016 and has performed great and reduced our heating bills by at least 30%. Fast forward to 2018 and we have only had one issue with the boiler and that was a $11 sensor (under warranty) that failed and needed to be replaced. Called in the morning and they sent someone out same day and replaced the part.
The labor cost to replace the part was fair and I have no doubt in my mind that other companies would have charged twice as much. Bottom line is that they perform good work for a fair price.

Amazing! Jim Trombly Heating and Cooling installed a new air conditioning system into our home 3 years ago. They were so courteous and professional and prompt. Their quality of work is fantastic and they got everything done within a day. They also took the time to educate me along the way and told me to contact them anytime with any questions or concerns. Their costs were better than any I saw and they drove an hour to my home to do the work. They are a superb outfit.
