For me, when making a big purchase, especially one to be installed in my home I do not think of what I spend as buying the equipment. Yes, there is equipment involved but just about any national brand would probably be fine. What I am really purchasing is the work of the people who help me understand what I need, provide that equipment, install it, check to see that it works properly and most of all do this in a good mood with a view to going beyond just doing what they promised. We just had our heating and air-conditioning system installed by CDCSpokane. and we are so far beyond just satisfied that I had to write this review.

I have had service contracts for many years with this company - through two furnace/AC systems. Yesterday when this repair work started I became very concerned because it was taking hours to determine the problem and the technician seemed to be on the phone a lot getting instruction from his boss. This expensive furnace/AC is only two years old and had just been serviced in January.
Because a replacement part had to be found, the job was not finished until today and I was worried about the charges piling up by the hour. Today the job was finished very professionally and I was not charged anything. I'd say that's deserves a big "high five" for public relations. Thank you, CDA Spokane HVAC.

We bought a new home and discovered that our AC wasn't working. We had some local friends who went through Costco and we decided to do some research. I knew that Costco would live up to their standards and use a reputable company and we couldn't have been more pleased with Cda Spokane Heating and Cooling. Heidi called us not even 30 minutes after making the request with Costco to introduced herself, gave us quotes and shared her extensive knowledge of the equipment.
We had an appointment in less than 1 week and Donnie showed up on time and did an excellent job. Mike, the owner answered all of our calls/texts immediately and encouraged us to ask any and all questions or concerns that we had so that we felt confident in our decision to chose CDA Spokane Heating and Cooling. This was a job very well done.

I was shopping for a new furnace/AC system and was connected to this vendor via CostCo. They were not the cheapest but their costs were in-alignment with the others who install the "big name" brands (Lennox, Carrier, etc.). Mike took the time to explain to me my options (small unit with no duct modifications or a more a appropriately sized unit with minor duct modifications). Nick did the install and planned the necessary ducting modifications since the original house build had ducting that was fine for heating but was undersized for AC.
If you have concerns regarding proper unit sizing, perhaps due to prior owner decisions you may not be confident in, go with this company -- they will do the calculations necessary and suggest the proper size and adjustments needed to your ducting to accommodate that size. Needed heat transfer is driven by your house build/updates and the local weather/sun/exposure.
Ability to provide that heat transfer is limited by your air ducts. CDA Spokane (Nick) suggested reasonable and creative duct modifications that (in my case) did not involve tearing out the drywall. The ducting modifications costs were reasonable and done as T&M and were in alignment with the estimate provided. Nick was on-time & prepared. Work quality was outstanding.
I would hire Nick if I were running a heating company and have him mentor my new hires. Another note, they take and share notes. What I discussed with one rep was read by the other. There were no misunderstandings. ------------------------------------ Update 202009.30 Had Nick out again to do some more work, this time to add natural gas for an outdoor BBQ island. Again, I trusted Nick's calculations and recommendations.
Work was done well. I also had him look at a temperature imbalance on the upper floor that runs on a separate/older furnace. He identified what wasn't done properly by the prior contractor (Cougar) and suggested fixes to balance and improve the air flow. Work was done well and there was no mess despite that furnace being in the attic (with lots of blown in insulation).

Amazing service! Very professional and incredibly quick from the initial contact to the completion of the project. AC went out at the worst time of year (of course!) and was up and running again within a few days -- would have been faster if not for a scheduling conflict for me, which they were happy to work around. I was very impressed and pleased with how fast and easy the whole process was. CDA Spokane HVAC has earned my business for life!

As new home-owners, we scheduled a routine maintenance check on our furnace and AC. I got a postcard in the mail saying it was time for a service so I called and scheduled one. I made the mistake of not asking for pricing in advance (lesson learned) for what I thought was a simple "come by and check to make sure everything is working properly" maintenance check.
Little did I know (until the bill was handed to me at the end) that they charge $135/hour, and their "maintenance check" consist of all sorts of procedures done without your authorization. Procedures that cost hundreds of dollars. When I got our bill for close to $500 dollars for 2.5 hours of work, a new filter, and coil cleaning I felt beyond blindsided and quite frankly, really confused.
How on earth could something this expensive not be discussed between the technician and client? Any other decent company would have shared the things that needed to be changed, cleaned, replaced etc, and then proceeded to obtain the customers approval before doing so. When I voiced my concerns about the invoice, the technician's response was, "well, you probably should've done your homework on pricing before all this." He is not wrong. Shame on me for thinking that a discussion would take place before insanely expensive procedures were completed.
In attempts to right their wrong, I was offered an option to put a down-payment on services in the future so I won't have to endure this expensive bill next time. How generous of them. Additionally, (not that it matters now) but I waited around all day for a phone call from the manager that didn't come until right before they closed. By the time I saw the voicemail, they were closed for the weekend and would not be able to speak with me until the start of the next week.
To say we're disappointed is an understatement. There are many other honest companies out there that know how to do the exact same thing as this one. Do your homework, ask the questions, and consider supporting a different business. To management reading this: please don't bother calling me on Monday.

From the quote right down to installation and service, the team at Coeur d'Alene Sheet Metal & Heating were fantastic! The quality of the craftsmanship that went into installing our new A/C unit, humidifier, air filter system and thermostat is great! It looks like a work of art and definitely adds value to our home. I will be going back to this company for future home improvement projects for sure. Also, going through Cost Co, gave us a little extra savings, and a big Cost Co cash card at the end! Thank you Mark, Austin, Nick, Gary and Leanne!

My furnace was on the fritz and I called another local company that came out, spent 5 minutes "cleaning" a sensor and billed me $100. Within few hours it was happening again and when I called them back they said they weren't sure what else they could do.great no heat. After messing with it myself for an hour was able to get it working again but of course few days later it was dead again.
I contacted Cd'A sheet metal and heating and they were here quickly and were able to diagnose it was major issue. Nick walked through my options and made me feel like I was making the best decision. They went above and beyond making sure we had heat for next few days until Monday when they could install new furnace. I will definitely give these guys a call first next time I'm in need of help with heating/cooling.

This is long overdue. I want to say thank you to Mark for taking the time to replace my old furnace with the new one. He spent a lot of time designing a new plenum so the furnace would push air more efficiently and he made designs of where everything was supposed to be placed for the installers. Nick did a outstanding job of installing everything the furnace, A/C and water heater to ensure I had maximum space for the new bathroom install. If you need anything don't hesitate to call this company, you willbe taken care of!
