I would recommend this place hands down. I called four different plumbing companies that were rated 4.8 and above (the other companies must have a lot of friends that give them reviews). Straightshooter is the only one that called me back. I had a no freeze yard faucet that started running water on a weekend with cold and snow coming. Rick was amazing, he knew exactly what to do. The weekend extra rate was well worth it. This company is in my contacts list forever! Thank you, thank you! You all ROCK!

Had a plumbing leak from a broken circ pump. This company was a pleasure to deal with. When you have a backed up kitchen sink everything stops. Of course it always happens on a weekend. We contacted Straight Shooter Plumbing on Sunday and they scheduled us for the next day. We called them because we had called them once before to replace a broken hot water tank (on a weekend) and it was a very good experience. They arrived on time and got straight to work.

We had a plugged drain on a sink with a garbage disposal. During inspection it was determined the clog was indeed inside the disposal and the guys were able to clean it out and get the whole thing working again. Both guys were very professional courteous and took great care to keep everything clean and dry. I was extremely happy with the quick response, the work performed and the fair pricing. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable plumber!

Steve owner of Straight Shooter was great to work with, answered all my questions and was honest about what needed to be done. Came to evaluate issue over weekend. Unable to resolve immediatly so did not charge weekend surcharge. Fixed in timely fashion once parts were available! So thankful for quick help as water had to be turned off until issue was fixed. Guys were friendly and professional! So easy to work with Steve, Thanks! Nick came out for clogged kitchen plumbing, but we found out the plumbing was in worse shape than it should have been in. He was able to come back out the next day and replace the whole line for a very fair price. The job was left spotless as well when they left even with removing some of the drywall. It is a distinct pleasure to write this review for Straight Shooter Plumbing and Rooter of Hayden, Idaho. Simply the BEST Licensed Idaho Plumber we have used in the last 12 years. Straight Shooter is the BEST in professional knowledge, the BEST in skill installation, the BEST in attitude, the BEST in price, and the BEST in scheduling our job to be done immediately. "Immediately" is unheard of in North Idaho at this time because most plumbers won't do maintenance work because they make more money doing new construction.

Neither do most plumbers call you back; or, if you get a call-back, it is later than sooner, and you are at the end of the line in their install schedule. Getting a superb licensed plumber in North Idaho for household plumbing care is one of the most frustrating aspects of contemporary life. From a Google Search of nearby City of Hayden, we cold-called Straight Shooter Plumbing and Rooter on Tuesday, and to our complete surprise, our call was answered by the owner, Steve, himself!

He instantly scheduled a visit the next morning, Wednesday, and he came, he diagnosed all our problems created by our previous plumber, he identified the solutions, and he had an electronic, itemized bid to us that same evening at a fair price: to de-install the bad job of the first plumber, and to install 3 new 55 gallon water heaters in "parallel, " with "L" copper piping, soldered, and our gas joints re-worked and corrected from the mistakes made by the first plumbing company so that our existing gas appliances and heater were not affected.

Not only that, Steve was able to get 55 gallon heaters, (50 gallons are easily available, but not 55 gallons) and he was able to come, himself, with his partner, Nick, with all the necessary equipment needed for the job, and install our complicated job, completely to our satisfaction, 6 business days later from our first meeting! This is significant!

With all that Straight Shooter does so well in plumbing, it is topped by their "can-do, " "will-do, " "want-to-help you as soon as possible" attitude. We want Straight Shooter to be our licensed plumber, for life. Yes, WE RECOMMEND STRAIGHT SHOOTER PLUMBING, AND WE GIVE THEM OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! Working with Steve and Nick was a pleasure. They were clear about the solution to the problem I had here, told me what to expect and delivered. No surprises. Great service by friendly and skilled technicians. I had a broken flange and couldn't install the new toilet. SSP removed and replaced the bad flange. Then installed the new toilet. High quality work and done quickly with a thorough cleaning up after work when done with job. Highly recommend!

These guys were amazing! Fair price and quality work. Even helped me turn off the water on a Saturday to my place when I went on vacation because I was worried about a leak. Were quick to deal with hiccups with my outdated and small heater and were totally calm and professional every step of the way. Never uncharged me or tried to sell me more then what they needed too. We called Steve around 2:00 PM due to our toilet not flushing right. He was at our house by 3:00 PM to take care of the problem! He got it fixed with in 5 minutes and was great with my one year old being curious about being super interested in everything he was doing. Quick version: Steve and Straight Shooter Plumbing were responsive, thorough, professional and so knowledgeable. We were able to witness this in both an emergency situation and in a later repair visit. We have officially found our family plumber! : ---------- We found Steve and Straight Shooter Plumbing when our back was against a wall with a leak/small flood one morning.

Our usual local plumbing company couldn't get out for an extended period of time and time was of the essence. After a quick call explaining our situation, Steve not only made it out quickly, but helped us get a mitigation team deployed and kept up communication throughout the process. Post mitigation process we had Steve and Nick back out to fix a few issues that had been uncovered and they did an incredible job.

They were communicative, conscientious, honest and thorough. This uniquely quirky house gave them a challenge and they were able to remove a disgusting RO system, repipe under our sink and solve a couple other issues. Give them a call!

Steve, with Straight Shooter Plumbing, does excellent work! Plus, he is very nice and professional which is equally important. He was very prompt when our water restoration project manager (JJ with AllKlean) reached out to him. He came right over and helped fix a couple leaks under our sink. He fully replaced the pipes and valves. After completing the repair, we explained we'd like to consider having him back to help with some other projects.

He gave us estimates on upgrades like moving our water shut off valve to the garage and adding a water filtration system and or a water softener. He can also extend our bathroom from one sink bowl to two sink bowls. Both of these would be lovely upgrades. I'd highly recommend Steve to help you with your plumbing needs!
