Water Check Water Systems - Hanover-Gettysburg, Hanover

We starting using water check several years ago. They were Economical and honest. In the last year things have noticeably changed. They have Technicians that are inexperienced and have terrible customer relations. The last time they arrived to replace equipment a young technician was extremely disrespectful and rude to my wife who took off early to accommodate their schedule.

My wife asked a sample question as to why they were giving us used tanks? The young brash Technian snapped at her. " it's not the tanks that cause the problem " she let that disrespectful comment slide. They proceeded to take the tanks to the basement when they bumped into the wall leaving a mark. My wife asked that they please be careful. The same technician snapped at her again " if you world get out of the way we wouldn't have damaged the wall " my wife and I are both in the service, sales and public relations industry.

We understand when folks are having a bad day. This was not the case. This young man was off the reservation. He was inexperienced, and dreadfully disrespectful. This company is not the company we first did business with. They are understaffed, unprofessional and non responsive as I have left several messages for them to contact me. You would assume they would at least be responsive enough to call me to investigate what happened in order to prevent this type of horrific behavior to be bestowed on their customers in the future.

In my Close it is very evident that this organization has several flaws. You can't put full Blame on the rude, Ill equipped and unprofessional technician. This is a systemic issue that permeates this organization. The fault lies at the top. Unless the leadership is also unaccountable. Note I have never written a bad review even when one is deserving.

The good thing is there are several other water companies out there that would be happy to service you. As far as Water Check goes they are obviously at the bottom of the heap.

The Water Check tech couldn't figure out my well tank/switch problem and vaguely suggested it was a faulty pump and that he would have to come back another day with extra help to diagnose it, but he still charged me for a full visit. The next availability was a whole week later! 7 days with malfunctioning system?! No thanks. I found another company who could come the next day and they immediately figured out the problem with the tank and replaced it the same day- it works fine now. Next time I'll skip Water Check and just go to the competitor.

I had an excellent experience using Well Man Watercheck. I try to support local businesses, and I will most certainly be using well man for our water conditioning services moving forward. From scheduling to the plumber I was very pleased. Their rates are fair, I believe they are honest, and I appreciated the thorough explanations from Crystal and Brendan. Thanks again!

We had a very difficult install due to the placement of a drain pipe. Many companies wanted nothing to do with us. These guys did the job perfectly. The owner called me to reschedule the first install because he knew we needed the tiniest guy possible to do the install in order to fit into the space and one of their tallest guys had been scheduled initially (I couldn't fit in there!).

The guys that came out did a great job. When there was a little discrepancy on the equipment, they actually installed the better equipment and charged us the original quote. As a business owner, I have nothing but good things to say about them from top to bottom.

Great pricing and good people. When I make appointments, they show up on time, are very personable, and they are more affordable than other local companies. Tyler has installed my water treatment system and has been awesome with assisting me on how to use it effectively. Definitely recommend this company.

Art has been on the Mayo peninsula for a very long time providing water conditioning service, parts and salt/chemicals. They have worked on our system making the water safe and drinkable. Reliable and professional staff.

Moved into a house that was already serviced by these folks. They didn't get along with the previous owner, who neglected the system. I had mixed experiences with them since buying it. My impression now is they are a little behind in the market and act rudely. I've gone with a few products I found on my own to solve problems that came up instead of their recommendation.

Twice they had no idea about the product and wouldn't help me install it. The first techs we had were pretty friendly, and were responsive on the initial install of their UV system and the following failure of some old components (not their fault). Most recently, part of the water softener system failed. There wasn't much urgency from their tech for us to have drinkable, non-iron water.

They didn't have a critical part in stock, and I would have been waiting 5 days for them to receive the needed part. I found it myself after calling around and paid twice the cost to overnight it, and once installed I found out there were more problems that would have set us back further. They were extremely annoyed when I wanted them to come take a look a few days ahead of the scheduled visit, and tried to critique the quality of the replacement and where I got it from because it wasn't their source (although they knew I intended to find one sooner).

If there was truly something wrong with it, I would have been happy to pay for a known-good part or consider updating it to something they have in stock, but we didn't talk about that. Still, it didn't fix the problem. When they inspected the system initially, they clearly missed a few things (the softener resin was iron-fouled and the salt tank was clogged in addition to the blamed part), yet I'm paying for follow-up service visits. If they had fixed it promptly, I would have rather spent the money instead of doing my own research while waiting for a resolution.

Recently the wife and I noticed our water quality was going downhill from our old Kenmore all in one water softener so I called several water treatment companies to get quotes. One company scared my wife half to death claiming there could be raidium in our water (to which the county and a water test determined was false) and really pushed an RO system I didn't want, another wanted me to pay him 50% up front before getting anything in writing, and another just kept pushing for me to use their "free water test" despite the fact that I had a lab run a detailed test already.

Art from Water Check could not have been nicer and more knowledgeable when he came to my house to provide a quote for a water softener. we discussed my options and he provided me quotes that were very competitive. After receiving the quote, I called back several times with questions and they could not have been nicer in answering them. when I booked the appointment I even changed what I wanted, going from a softener and 1 sediment filter to a softener with both a pre and post filter, and they were very happy to accommodate the change.

The install went smoothly and was done quite professionally. it was easy to see that the installer was a perfectionist when the helper accidentally spilled some water on my unfinished concrete basement floor. I couldn't care less but he apologized profusely regardless. overall my experience with water check has been excellent.

Our household has been using watercheck for as long as I can remember. All the staff, are nice and very knowledgeable about what they are doing. I had two techs come to my house recently. Mike and Brenden, both seem like they enjoy what they do. They were both respectful, hardworking, and very helpful. They could both answer any question I had. I would never go to any other place, water check has the best prices and hands down best employees. The owner is also, a very nice man. I highly recommend you taking all your water needs over to water check, if you haven't already.

We've been using Water Check since we moved to AACo. about 5 years ago and they have always been fantastic. They are punctual, friendly and the service is great! Cost-wise, they are very reasonable. Twice now for non-routine issues the invoice was less then they originally quoted (which the original quote reasonable as well). Based on my experience, I'd highly recommend.
