Very quick response to an emergency job. But they charged my client almost $700 to replace a 1 copper tee, even though we already had the pipe dug up and easily accessible. I would have never recommended them to my client had I known they would charge so much!

Very nice people, who came in a very timely manner. In fact, I called around 9am and they had the repair done by noon. The cost was less than others I had called. Service: Water heater repair

Set up an appointment and they scheduled me a week out with a 4 hour time that they could show up. 8-12. They never showed or called. I took off work and waited until 12:30 before calling them. I called and they said I was one of the next two appointments. I had to go to work so I had to reschedule.

Calling B&D was easy, and they set up a diagnostic quickly. The two guys who di the diagnostic were kind and courteous. Kudos to Robbie and Archie for being on time, plus they were understanding and patient, while explaining things very well. However, on the day they were supposed to install the new heater, the plumber that came, whom I never got an invoice from and therefor dont have his name, called me late to the appointment and answered the phone with, "Are you going to open the garage or what?" I said, "Excuse me?

Who is this?" because i had no idea who it was, because he decided not to introduce himself. Then when he looked at the old water heater, he said the new one was shorter, so he was going to have to break the waterproof seal on the roof for the gas exhaust flashing. I asked if he would seal it again and he said I needed to call a roofer to do that.

I called his supervisor, Byron. Byron was just as rude and said there was nothing they could do. I said you are plumbers and you cant extend the exhaust inside? he said no, call a roofer. I said it was raining so lets postpone until it was dry. UNBELIEVEABLE! Who knew you had to have roofers on standby to get plumbing done. Two days later a new guy, named Kevin, came over to install the heater. Kevin took a look and said he could easily extend the exhaust. Kevin was also very polite like Robbie and Archie, and he replaced the water heater quickly, and surprise surprise, he didnt need to break the seal on the roof at all. So to conclude the review, if the right plumber comes over and you dont need to speak to Byron, theres no need to call a ROOFER.

We had an emergency a couple weeks ago, bad smelling liquid coming up through the foundation and the new carpet, and it was a Friday "Candy" said a tech would get back with us. No one called. The following Wednesday we called back and were told Candy was on vacation but left no note about our call and they couldn't come out until the following week because the owner was ill.

The following week came and went, no one called no one came. The liquid has spread and all of the new carpet has be pulled out. If you decide to use them hopefully you will have a better experience.

I called Saturday & never received a call back & then called yesterday Tuesday 2/16/21 & said no one called me back & if I didn't get a call Wed. 2/17 then I will look elsewhere. I did get a call today Wed. & they said they had no appts. Until next week. I give up & will never be using them in the future.

Thursday morning D&B plumbers arrived to install a hot water heater on time in my attic. Upon measuring the install area it was found that the water heater purchased by me the home owner was to large. Of course the plumbers had to leave. I contacted D&B to be informed if I could obtain a water heater that would fit they would return. Long story short D&B returned to lnstall the water heater.

The steps taken by these guys was truly amazing. You might have thought it was their house. They informed me of what needed to be upgraded and did so. Thank you D&B plumbing. Job well DONE!

I certainly agree with the other reviews regarding their prices; here for 25 min & charged $140. For those that thought $125.00 was a rip off, how about $140! I will definitely check for a more reasonable fee before hiring.

We had a great experience with B and D plumbing. We never really want to have to hire a plumber but if you do I suggest this company. We had a leak in our pantry and we weren't sure where it was coming from. The plumbers came quickly they, accessed the problem and the quote is reasonable. We needed items that had to be ordered, they ordered them and they came back in a timely manner & installed all new items and everything has been working fine ever since, we will definitely use this business again.

If I could give zero stars I would biggest rip off in Baton Rouge. Needed a plumber to look at something he was literally in our house for five minutes and charged us the whole $125 an hour. Rip off find somebody more reputable

Tub and toilets were backing up. B and D plumbing sent Manny out to check out. Quickly he determined we had major break or clog on main sewer line. He got camera and confirmed clay sewer line had broken. I called to get another estimate which ended up 30 to 40 % higher. Since Manny had done such a good job in diagnosis I called B and D to request that Manny come back and do the replacement of the sewer line.

He was very knowledgeable, trust worthy and efficient and actually ended up saving me money and fixing a toilet that kept running before he left! Awesome company, better prices and quality work!

Robbie and Archie came out and installed my hot water heater today and were fantastic. They were friendly, professional and worked quickly. They took the time to explain what was going on to me. Mrs. Candy was nice to speak with when I had a question and was pleasant. The other lady I spoke with in the office was curt, however. I would definitely recommend Robbie and Archie to anyone.

These guys are a bit high on the hourly rate - but they show up on time, do the job quickly, and they do the job right the first time. They were also able to work me into their schedule without emergency fees or the sort. I highly recommend them.

B&D Plumbing is a great company. They did the plumbing for my house back in 1985. Really have not had any major problems. That's a great track record. We did the contracting ourselves and built our home choosing the subcontractors. B&D did a great job when we built our home.

These guys were very nice and I was able to get an appointment right away for a non-emergency issue. They let me know on the phone that they charge $125 per hour and that's what it would cost just to have them come out. That was fine. They came and looked at my problem. It took a while to make them understand the issue I was having (can't get cold water in the shower).

Once they finally understood, they were able to take a look and found that I needed a new valve. But the store that has the new part is clear across town. They said it would be better for me to go get the part as they would have to charge me $125 and hour to drive over there. I appreciated that, but then they said once I had the part they could come back and replace it, but that would be another $125.

I get it that they charge an hourly rate, and I get it that they have that flat rate for when they first come to a house even if it takes five minutes to access the problem. But to come back and replace a part that I had to go pick up that would only take 10 minutes to do, and still charge another $125? That's kinda harsh. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe that's just how things are done.

The two guys from B&D were very courteous and prompt and knowledgeable. After having at least 5 different plumbers to my home over almost 10 years for the same problem, B&D were the only ones who told me my problem was not my sewer line, but my septic system, which needed to be serviced and repaired. I know nothing about plumbing, I am a health care worker, but that did not stop me from being skeptical, but they proved to be right. I highly recommend B&D if you want a courteous crew who knows their stuff!

Needed 3 repairs completed. This company only stocks delta parts so they could only fix 2 of the 3 repairs. They should tell anyone looking to get a repair they cannot fix anything but delta faucets/products. Charged about $300 for about 1 hour, could only handle 2 of the repairs. Also waited a week to get it scheduled. I ended up fixing the last repair myself.

The person that did the repair was very nice and did a good job. However I'm very disappointed they did not inform me they are not set up to fix anything other than delta. Changed my work schedule to accommodate them only to leave me hanging on the third repair. Charged way too much. Not recommended! Very weak.

The plumbers of B&D were prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Out of at least 5 plumbers I have had to come to my house over the last 8 years or so, B&D were the only ones to tell me my problem was actually my septic system, which needed to be pumped. I have never had a septic system before, so no, I didn't know that! So after years of regular toilet backups, and my washing machine draining into my shower just to change things up a bit, I had the damn thing pumped, and the curtain came down on my plumbing drama. The office staff was courteous as well, many thanks B&D!

The repairmen were courteous and did a great job. However, the office personnel were rude and charged me for an extra call-out fee when the service man did not have the part on hand for the first call. I highly recommend that you DO NOT use them unless you want to be ripped off!

I had two other plumbers try to fix a leak in the slab be re-routing my line. It wasn't a standard job but neither could figure it out. I called B&D and they had a solution within an hour of showing up. They were knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel comfortable. If I ever need a plumber again that's who I'll call.

We had a guy from B & D come to our house on two occasions. Both times they were early and super helpful! They fixed our plumbing issue and charged very reasonable prices! I would recommend this company to my family and friends!

I had an emergency service need, and although they were booked two weeks out, they dispatched Elmo who expertly fixed the main break outside and charged me a very very reasonable amount of money - couldn't have been better. Excellent service, reliability - and integrity. Pretty amazing these days!
