Installation of Nest learning thermostats. F.H. Furr scheduled the replacement service at a time that was convenient for me. They showed up on time and accurately assessed my needs, and installed the products I specified. Because the thermostats were provided and installed by Furr, I received the benefit of an additional year of warranty. The technician was professional and polite, and clarified my configuration requirements. In total, I received the professional services that I expected of an experienced service organization. While theirs prices are high, the quality of their technicians is superior. They are exceptionally polite and listen well. This business is very, very well run. I love that they text and email the name of the technician and his picture. This is an excellent safety protocol for which I am extremely grateful. FH Furr works hard to meet needs. They arrive on time and work efficiently. I love that they carry water heaters and toilets on their trucks so that servicing these items is not delayed.

Electrical Repair - Sal was able to repair my medicine cabinet/bathroom lighting unit. I was very impressed. He then asked about my missing smoke detectors and I had him install two smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. He was very professional and VERY competent. Kudos! I felt he was concerned for my safety. I requested for the servicing and repair of my AC system. A technician (named Brian) was sent over to complete my request. The speed with which this business dispatched a technician on the same day to attend to my issue is so impressive. The reps who l spoke to on the phone to schedule the appointment were so friendly and courteous. Brian (the technician) arrived on time and got to work immediately!

The service tech, Grant Lewis, was professional and polite. He was attentive to ensuring that he wore booties over his shoes in the house, he took them off when he went outside, and put them back on when he came back in the house. You'd be surprised how many service techs I've had come to my home, put booties on walk outside in the booties and come back inside with the same booties on, which totally defeats the purpose!
So I appreciate that he was diligent and took that extra step to remove and replace the booties to protect my floor. He was pleasant to talk to and efficient at doing his job. He answered some questions I had very thoroughly, and provided some additional information on other services that the company could offer for me. As my first experience with this company he made a good first impression. I'll use them again

Chris came to do an electrical inspection on a condo. He was very professional and polite. He showed up on time, wore slippers over his shoes, and wore a mask. He was knowledgeable about current National and state codes. Chris provided wonderful recommendations on how to improve the safety of the home. He was diligent in explaining the issues with the house, how to fix them, and the best pricing options for us. I highly recommend having Chris as your electrical technician.

My experience with scheduling a diagnostic visit for my heating system was very good. The company was responsive. The service technician, Alec, was great, explained all aspects of my unit and was thorough in checking everything out. He also provided very helpful information for me to understand my heat pump along with several helpful tips for running my heater efficiently. Every person we dealt with was very polite, professional and great demeanor. Super thorough and helpful as this was our first time needing to replace a furnace/AC unit. We needed it rushed since our heat went out and install happened the very next day once we decided to go with them at 3pm the day prior. We had two other companies try to win our. business but they were the best price at the end and also took the most time with us upfront, drew our system very professionally and showed us how everything worked and explained the issue along with explaining how the new system worked. Had some issues with my heat pump, was able to easily schedule a technician visit for just the next business day. I got text confirmation of the visit the night before, and updates during the day that I was next on the schedule and then a call confirming that the tech would arrive in 30-60 minutes. Taylor arrived on time and was most excellent -professional and polite, explained a lot about the system in general and answered all my questions, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. You never want to have a heating problem, but when you do you want someone like Taylor to come fix it.

I called when my gas furnace stopped working. FH Furr responded very quickly. It had to be replaced. A sales representative presented options for a new furnace. The new furnace was installed within a few days. From the phone reps, the repair reps, the sales rep, and the installers, all were polite, professional, knowledgeable, and the work was completed in a timely manner. All wore masks and covered their shoes. The furnace installers left the area very clean. They worked quietly and were very professional. I highly recommend FH Furr.

From our first contact with them, EVERYONE we spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We were notified when the salesman was on his way. The notification had his picture. He did arrive in an FH Furr vehicle. We were sent the list of COVID precautions they take. The salesman was really so helpful with all of our questions. He explained that the new furnace also included the new Nest thermostat, a 1 year service contract for the furnace AND the existing air conditioner, plus a full year supply of furnace filters.
We also talked about money. He went over all discounts we would get depending on how we paid. It seemed he knew everything! The office called to schedule the installation. Installation took place a little over a week later. Two technicians came. They got right to work. If we poked into the furnace room, they would start explaining what they were doing.
They were very friendly. After the installation, they helped us set up the new thermostat app and showed us how to use it. They also left a new carbon monoxide detector. They left the work area clean. They have even registered our warranty and scheduled the County inspection at a time that was convenient for us. Honestly, they made everything simple and easy for us. Their duct cleaning was thorough and did not leave a mess. They showed us the before and after views. I was amazed with the amount of stuff that had accumulated in 40+ Years. I had received an insanely expensive estimate from an electrician and I decided to get a second opinion from F.H. Furr. They sent out John JD to troubleshoot. John was very good at pinpointing the problem and explaining how it might have been caused and our potential next steps to fix. His experience and knowledge gave us a lot of confidence in moving forward with a fix and for a lot less.
I would reach out to Furr in a heartbeat for any future services. Some service appointments need a lot of lead time to schedule, so i would recommend calling well in advance.

First a disclaimer: I used the Costco program, which offers a great discount on purchase of a new HVAC system (highly recommend). Furr is the authorized dealer. Despite this, I got a total of 4 quotes and the salesman for Furr was very nice. No high-pressure tactics as with one other. Once I signed the contract, we scheduled pretty quickly. Install team did great work from what I can tell and went above and beyond, working till 8PM to complete the install before determining that my 30 year old thermostat wire needed replaced.
It happens. That's scheduled now; looking forward to final step. Appreciate that Furr is coming back instead of downgrading to a lower-tech tstat (which I have temporarily) or some other nonsense. This is the largest independent contractor in the mid-Atlantic, but I felt like I was dealing with the proprietor directly. They seem to take their corporate reputation seriously and are transparent and fair. The proof will be how well they service going forward, but if my install experience is any indication, I'm not worried.

Living in a 100+ year old house with a 30+ y.o. HVAC system, with the AC portion limping along during the Pandemic was going to be a huge undertaking. I contacted FH Furr in 2020 to price out a system replacement and install, but decided to wait. To my pleasant surprise, FH Furr offered and amazing summer of 2021 program with 60 months/0% financing for an entire new HVAC system!
After contacting the company via the website, I was called by a great account manager who walked me through my old request from 2020 and explained the benefits of the 2021 program. Eric Williams, site and sales account manager scheduled an in home estimate and assessment, the same as last year! I appreciated the continuity and familiar face. He explained I was eligible for a system upgrade from American Standard to Lennox for the same price and for the same program!
That made me feel relaxed and confident that 1) this was the correct company to do this work and 2) I was getting an amazing deal with an affordable repayment option at 0% interest! Eric organized a dept head site visit so that all services (HVAC install, roofing, electrical/gas) could see and collaborate and explain everything. Originally, I was told the unit/equipment could take 2-3 months to ship but was pleasantly surprised when I was offered 3-7 days for install! Considering we were about to have a major temp/weather change happen, I was ready to get this done.
The financing company worked in collaboration with the install so they were notified of the sale on the 1st visit. I knew my numbers before the install. That was key because I didn't want any surprises. Install day was a dream. Scott Rager, Jorge Borga, the AC and roofing techs arrived on time. They prepped the site, kept me informed throughout the day, even were sweet to my 2 year old lab mix when I had to let her out during the day.
This team worked quickly, professionally with friendly interaction all day. Once completed, they walked me through everything. They did extra work to insure the install was seamless, clean and complete. They even carted out my old tired but workhorse system when they left! I was very impressed all the way from the information requested to their website, to the sales and site calls through delivery and install.

Knowledgeable and professional technicians. I was very impressed when Kyle came to service my water heater. He discussed my options when he discovered that the unit was extremely outdated and about to shut down. Scheduling a day for installation was simple and we agreed on a day and time, what I needed to know about the installation process and how long it would take. I double checked everything he told me about the water heater he would install online and he was 100% accurate. I was very impressed.

Very coordinated in service arrangements, informative on process, explanations, and also conservative too... if can get a little more out of a part or system, then they suggest that. They make good notes in computer to remind what needs done next round. They are organized on appointment making. And really nice, safe technicians following Covid precautions in always. Been their customer for 21 years and actually know several technicians now over the years. In “dire need” situations they really “bend over backwards” to get everything remedied!

Called them out the first time for electrical work that I couldn’t figure out myself. Came out the next day, reasonably priced, polite technician, great customer service from the company on the phone and in person. Called them out a another time for a plumbing issue that I couldn’t fix myself, same great experiences so I bought a membership with their company and will be using them for all our home needs as long as they continue the high level of service we’ve had so far. Zach was my electrician, Carlos was the plumber, both great. Will be recommending this company to all my friends.
