We'd been using B&L for about 2 years. they've had a lot of business from us. The last 2 calls are my breaking point! They started out as very responsive, a good value and professional. It has been progressively deteriorating since that time. to the point where I asked the last rep to leave for his unprofessional and rude behavior. trying to have him repair the damage he had caused the previous day. Over $500 and don't forget the service call fee to install a dishwasher!? $350 to install a new faucet?! Not worth the headache!

Very professional and quick. No dilly-dallying around. Plumber came in diagnosed the problem, gave me a price and fixed it. It was very easy. Would highly recommend.

I am currently out of state for work and my wife called them because there was a leak. They charged me $234 to replace an $8 shower drain that you can get from any Home Depot. When I called the company to ask why so much and do they realize how insane that is, they stated right from the start they charge $89 as a trip fee and then charged me $157 for 5 minutes of work.

I understand paying for the knowledge but that is over board. When asked about the $89 fee just to come out, they said "that doesn't go towards the job, that's for like gas and stuff." I don't know how they are still in business but if there was an option to do 0 stars I would.

Thank you for responding immediately to our broken pipe that flooded our house. When I called the office you were able to fit us in your schedule. And the service man was quick to arrive and to fix the problem. He also was very informative in explaining the issue. I would certainly recommend B&L Plumbing. Your company is the best! We were very pleased to be able to schedule same-day service and were very satisfied with the technician, David. He was friendly and did a professional job. I felt their pricing was high. There was a $75 call-out fee which I incorrectly assumed would be applied to the cost if we went ahead with the service. I was mistaken. When I made the appointment I asked about pricing.

I think they should have been able to either provide a rough estimate or hourly rate, but they did neither. The total cost of the faucet installation was $305 despite it taking less than one hour. I was expecting to pay $150 or at most $200. According to HomeAdvisor and several other sites, it should have cost $120 - $300 so B&L does good work but is on the high side.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Had them out beginning of November 2021 to do a site survey for some plumbing work we need done. Paid the $85 and never heard back from them. It's now 2022 and Ive called several times and the answer I get is "we'll have a manager call you tomorrow ". Apparently tomorrow never comes at B&L. Wasted my money and my time on this company.

Great experience. I discovered my water heater leaking all over the floor on a Friday night. I called Saturday morning, and had it replaced it by Saturday afternoon. Kevin even arrived earlier than originally stated. I had hot water less than 24 hours from when the leak was discovered! Prompt, efficient, and professional.

Kevin came out and was super courteous. He answered all of our questions and made sure everything was good to go. We had him out for another issue last year and had the same great service. Thanks B&L!

Excellent job on replacing shower faucet/handle. Replaced old deteriorated piping to prevent future problems. Customer service was excellent. Came out quickly for the repairs, quality repairs done on time and in a timely manner. The repair technician was professional and upfront with the costs, no hidden surprises. Will use this company again.

Worst Service! I would give them zero stars if I could. Do not use them. One of the water lines snapped off while I was not at home and flooded my bathroom. I called them for the fixes and they were very rude over the call. They said they don't cover it WITHOUT even coming over and inspect and I have to call Roto Rooter for the fixes. They may be a bit cheaper as compared to other plumbing services but don't expect any good customer service if anything fails.

We remodeled our kitchen and needed to have our sink, water supply lines and drains plumbed. We couldn't be happier with B&L Plumbing and Jeremy; he worked hard and was quick to get this part of our project completed. The cost was very reasonable as well. I would say that Jeremy should be considered a valued asset to B&L Plumbing. You can be certain that B&L will be called again when we need their expertise. Thanks!

I have called on B&L Plumbing in the past and have never been disappointed in their service. Today, Kevin arrived on time to locate and repair a water leak in the ceiling of my basement. He was so professional, caring and explained the entire process needed for repair. Before he left, he cleaned up the area and gave me the name/number to Executive Pro-Dry water removal to further assist me. Kevin then called them for me and they arrived 45 mins. later. BEAUTIFUL coordination to remedy my small disaster. THANK YOU

I am so grateful for the fast, efficient and friendly service I received today from B & L. I am a first time home owner and have only been in my new place for a few months. The master bath toilet wouldn't flush and then the guest bath toilet wouldn't flush and the next thing I knew there was water pouring out of a fan in the powder bath on the first floor.

I called B & L at 11 pm on a Friday night more or less hysterical and Sherry picked up the phone. She was very calm and courteous. She told me the water would probably stop soon given my description of events and to not use any more water on the second floor. She told me she could get someone out the next day and offered to save the spot if I couldn't get someone to come out overnight.

I called her first thing in the morning and she set up Jeremy to come out. He was prompt, arriving in the 2 hour window she set, and he called to let me know when he was on his way and would be there. He wore a mask and I had shoe covers for him to wear since the carpet is new but he didn't hesitate to just take off his shoes and was very courteous and polite.

He explained everything, was thorough and was very skilled at troubleshooting the issue as it ended up being a kind of complex problem. I was so lucky as a first time home owner with my first plumbing issue to have ended up with Jeremy from B & L. He was honest, cleaned up everything he had to take apart for the repairs, gave some tips on prevention and I felt like the pricing was more than fair.

I was very nervous about getting taken advantage of and my experience was fortunately the complete opposite. I felt like Jeremy was trustworthy, kind and genuinely wanted to help. Thank you again for being so amazing in what felt like a desperate situation to me. I will be using B & L for any future plumbing needs and will request Jeremy.

We had a small leak in a valve in our basement. I was able to send a picture when I made the appointment. Kevin was our plumber. He was polite, very knowledgeable, and communicated very well. The plumbing from the extractor pump did not meet code due to the lack of a cut off valve above the check valve. This made the job much nastier than it should have been for Kevin, but no complaints. Kevin installed the new shutoff valve and replaced the check valve fast and efficient.

In the end everything was fixed and you would never be able to tell Kevin was even there (except for the nice new valves). Very pleased. I would definitely use again, (of course we are praying for no more plumbing problems.)

While running a load of laundry during my work shift at home at night, our washing machine flooded our basement due to a clog in the standing pipe; we were able to get a morning appointment for the next day. We received very prompt, professional and courteous service from Kevin, he came out and was able to remedy the situation within an hour. I'm glad he called earlier than expected with an ETA before our scheduled time as this allowed us to start to work on making sure our belongings weren't damaged as well as finish the laundry. I'm also glad we remembered that jingle, it saved us a lot of money. Thanks Kevin and thanks B&L for keeping such a great technician on your crew.

Prompt and efficient service and friendly on the phone to set up appt. Technician called before arrival and showed up in time window. Diagnosed and fixed problem quickly. Pricing was exorbitant. $339 for 1 hour of work! (No parts needed to compete the job). Surely there are other plumbing service companies in town that will offer a better value.

My water heater failed and I called to get a price for replacement. I already had one quote from another company and that person showed me some additional items that needed to be done in addition to the WH replacement. The person I talked to on the phone at B&L plumbing gave me a price for replacement. But I asked if someone could come out to give me a firm quote since there were other things that would need to be done. Well, the plumber came out and gave me the quote - and then told me that if I did not choose them, there would be a $69 fee for the visit.

This was never mentioned before. True, if I had been told that at the beginning, I may have not have them come out. But as soon as he said that, I decided NOT to use this company even if they had a lower price. As the plumber was leaving, the truck broke down. He made a comment that he had told them about the truck's condition. If this company cannot keep their trucks in driveable shape to get to the customers, I wonder what other ways they are cutting corners.

My 30-plus-year-old water heater failed on a Friday and, having recently obtained employment following a long stretch of unemployment, I was really "up against it, " in terms of having the time to research the pricing, expertise and (perhaps most important) the availability of staff from local plumbing companies to perform a water heater replacement on short notice.

In light of the extremely tight quarters of my 1960s-era water heater closet (not to mention, the fact that current code required the installation of a second vent in the closet door), I quickly discovered the cost of this project was going to be much higher than I'd anticipated, regardless of the company I contracted with. So, after compiling a short list of reputable companies, with plumbers available to get the job done the next day (Saturday), I chose B&L Plumbing, and was not disappointed with my choice.

The plumber (John) did an excellent job, despite the antiquated set-up of the existing water heater and related parts. He arrived within the scheduled 2-hour window and, three hours later, the project was completed, including the installation of the now-required second door vent -- a procedure for which some of the other plumbing companies would have had to sub-contract out for an additional fee. Thank you again, John, for all your hard work and expertise!

I called to have the sump pump in my basement checked and was given a 2 - 4 pm window. No show, no call. I called them starting at 4:30, 7 times it went to a voice mail that was full. They picked up on the 8th time. Could not tell me anything about why the no show, no call so I declined a reschedule and cancelled. Great business model they have! Will NEVER call them again.

Landlord hired this company to change out the water heater and the "plumber" stole copper tubing that belonged to me. Called the company and the guy of course denied it. I was an inch away from signing a complaint with CSPD but let it go this time. I abhor lying and stealing.

This company is dishonestly providing estimates for work over the phone and then charging double the amount after you commit to having a plumber out for $69 service fee. I called B&L plumbing and was quoted $150 to fix the PVB backflow preventer or $250 to replace if it couldn't be fixed. B&L came out and on-site quoted me $500 to replace the part, which is twice what I expected based on the initial quote over the phone.

The part itself costs less than $100 dollars so the new quote seemed unreasonable. I refused the service, but was asked to pay the $69 fee because the plumber came out to do the work. When I asked to speak with a manager, the plumber said that it was not possible and he was going to call the police if I didn't pay the $69 service fee. I had to pay but it feels like I was ripped off.

I called B & L plumbing to fix a leak in my kitchen based on mostly good reviews. They sent Rob out. BIG MISTAKE! He did not investigate to find the leak in the bathroom, he assumed that it was the shower and charged my insurance company $680 to replace a drain and remove tiles from the base of the shower. He replaced a drain that didn't need replacing and he didn't do anything with the tiles.

It turns out that the plumbing in tub was the was the actual problem. Rob was supposed to follow up with me to give me a quote to address the real problem, after waiting 3 days to hear from him, he never followed up and I still have a leak in my kitchen. I'm paying to have a different plumber address the issue. Bad business! I would not recommend using this company for your plumbing needs.

Sneaky - charging more than they originally quoted While out of town, they charged my wife triple what it would be to troubleshoot a water heater. Turns out they replaced a part, and never mentioned it. They are sneaky, I would go somewhere else.

Do NOT use this company unless you want to be ripped off! They charge "set" fees (not hourly rate for time), yet they won't tell you those prices over the phone. Since I didn't want to waste the $69 trip fee, I pushed for a ballpark figure for installing my new kitchen sink, disposal, faucet and hot water dispenser (all equipment I already had) and was told my job would be $500 max.

The tech, Kevin, was very nice and professional, but his quote was $1,230. For a job he estimated would take about 3 hours.that's $400+/hour! I said no way and he said he'd call the office to see what he could do. He went out to his truck, then decreased it to $820. That's still $270+/hr. Of course, I declined. but still had to pay the $69 trip fee for nothing. Don't waste your time or money with B&L! UPDATE: I called Olson Plumbing and Heating and they did a fabulous job.

They charge $95/hour. It took 5 hours, so the cost was less than half of what B&L wanted to charge me! B&L's response below is a bunch of fluff that tries to mask the real issue. their set 'all inclusive' prices are so inflated, you will end up paying double (or more!) of what a $95/hour plumber will charge you. I feel bad for people who have a leak or urgent plumbing issue, call B&L and then because they are desperate and a tech is in their home, they agree to the outrageous pricing.

Save your money and call Olson or another reputable plumber that will be honest about an hourly rate. Don't fall for "we'll do it for a set price, no matter how long it takes". because they definitely know about how long it will take and they are charging you an obscene hourly rate.

Anything in life cost us something, so I paid this flat rate fee $69 for the tech (David) to come out. I did not mind, knowing what I needed was gonna cost something, and with all my findings, he charged me what I knew would be a lot. The $200 for 4 drains was too much, so I YouTube'd how to fix that, and ordered parts through amazon. I recommend this business, and you will have repairs done that day. So glad it has been repaired, and I can say they are legit!

Our water heater broke on Thursday. I called around and settled on B and L. They were not the cheapest, but having seen their commercials, thought I would give them a try. They told me they would be at my house the following day at 2:30. I called just before 3pm and was told it was a two-hour window of 2-4. At 5 pm I called again to ask the status of my 2:30 appointment.

This time I was told it was a 2-5 window and they would have the technician call me. At 7pm I called again and asked if I can expect someone to come. The woman said she would have the person call me. I asked if I should expect someone to come out because no one had called me. I further stated that if someone is not coming, that is fine, just tell me so I can move on.

Before ending the phone call, I asked who I could speak to, to file a complaint. She recommended calling Monday morning. Monday morning I called and asked to speak to the manager regarding my Friday afternoon appointment. I was told that she was busy, but that she would get my message and call me. Nothing. I called Tuesday morning asking to speak to the manager explaining that I wanted to file a complaint about the Friday afternoon appointment that I took vacation time for and that no one ever called to say they would be late, not understanding why I had to call to check on the status and why no one showed up or had followed up yet.

I was told that the manager would be handed my message and would definitely call me. I told the receptionist that I was told the same thing yesterday. Nothing. My efforts to resolve this by phone were ignored. To me, this is shows a big lack in customer service. I understand that every appointment cannot be on time, but businesses will call to say they will be late.

That 20-second phone call makes a world of difference. At every turn they have demonstrated to me that their customer, their service and their word is not reliable. Needless to say, I had to go to with a different company.

John at B&L called to advise he was on the way. Once he arrived, he was professional, organized and took care to keep my house clean as he worked to replace the water heater. He was able to swap out the water heaters pretty quickly. He cleaned the work area and ensured everything worked. Recommended!

We've used B&L over the last few years for projects that popped up unexpectedly. Each time we've need a plumber, they have come through. Excellent service, immediate response times (seriously, less than one hour from our call and Tom G from B&L was at our front door) and economical. We will continue using them for anything plumbing related!

I had a leaky kitchen sink that I had already fixed before Thomas (B&L plumber) showed up. He checked as I requested, and said it looked fine. He also secured my garden hose faucet in the garage with two screws since it was loose. I also asked him to take a look at the toilet in my master bathroom; it would occasionally start running for no reason throughout the day and overnight. Thomas said that it was leaking from the tank into the bowl (no external leakage) and that replacement parts for my nice Kohler toilet would exceed $525, and that he could replace it with another Kohler for $490. Cool, saved me a few dollars, right?

He called someone to deliver a new toilet, and while that was being delivered, he removed my original toilet - did a very nice, clean job with no mess at all in the house, but at this point, I needed a new toilet since my old one had vanished into the truck. The new toilet, when it arrived, was a lot smaller than my original Kohler, and it was NOT a Kohler toilet - it was a Sterling Windham toilet that looked like something that would be used in a grade school bathroom.

I checked on-line, and the same toilet was available at Lowe's for $99. WHAT? So, I called B&L to find out what was up with this. [btw, Sterling is a Kohler subsidiary. In 1984, Kohler Co. acquired Sterling for two reasons: it provided a foundation on which to build a mid-priced, full-line plumbing brand, and it gave Kohler entree to sales through retail stores, a distribution channel that was beginning to grow rapidly.] I spoke with Chelsea two days later (nice person, not rude at all, and trying to be helpful).

I had left a message the day after the install regarding the high pricing, and Chelsea called me back the following day. She said that the toilet had been purchased from a plumbing supply house (she wasn't sure which one) and that it was a higher quality than the $99 toilet at Lowe's. She made some references to brass/copper fittings vs cheap plastic that would be in the Lowe's version.

I asked for the name of the plumbing supply house so I could call and find out the cost of the toilet to B&L, but she wasn't sure which one and said that I would be happy with the toilet for years to come. Thanks, Chelsea, for your help, but I really would like to know how much you guys paid for this toilet because I'm still not happy with the cost. Overall, nice job by Thomas, the plumber who came to my house.

He called before he showed up, got here a little early, and spent about two hours, although at least 30 minutes of that was waiting on the toilet delivery. Nice job by Chelsea over the phone, but she needed to provide a bit more information. Big Thumbs-Down for B&L pricing, which was extraordinarily high for a rather cheap toilet. Until they can prove to me that my new toilet cost them more than $300, I'm not happy. Really not happy.

We have used B&L Plumbing services since 2014. Our house was recently on the market for sale and we had been set to close until we received late documentation/information that our house was in noncompliance for work that was completed and had not yet been cleared by Pikes Peak Regional. B&L personally handled our noncompliance issue with Regional and was resolved within one business day.

This special thanks goes out to Gene, Chelsea and Carolyn. You all were impressively patient, accommodating, and understanding to our unique situation. Gene, you really took initiative for what was an already busy Friday for the Company's schedule, and personally made sure our house was top priority. It is/was refreshing and encouraging to have someone be as understanding and dedicated as you all were! Thank-You!

We had 3 toilets replaced in our home. In this day and age of "customer no service" our experience was a refreshing change. B&L Plumbing has figured it out! From our initial call to the final details of our installation everything was spot on. Tom is a true professional who really cares about his customers and their satisfaction. Every step of the project was well executed.

Shoe covers, drop cloths and no attitude, how pleasant. Tom took great care to insure that our home was left just the way it was before he arrived. Without hesitation we will call B&L Plumbing and request the services of Tom for any of our projects in the future. This experience has restored our faith in people's ability to do a great job and take pride in what they do. Thank you for a great experience and keep up the great work! I started using B&L about 3 years ago after a friend recommended them to me. We were adding a bathroom to our basement and needed someone who could advise us about pipe placement and moving existing lines. B&L sent out a rep to help, and when we were ready they came and jackhammered up the portions of our slab and set up the pipes. We were told up front that we would need to have the concrete poured back in, so we arranged for that to be done the next week.

Once our walls were up, B&L came back and installed our fixtures and took great care to not damage anything in the now tight spaces of the new bathroom. I now call on them for any plumbing needs. Their prices are extremely competitive, they are always punctual, and they are locally owned and operated. Who doesn't love a competent small business?!? Awesome in my book!
