Ray's Plumbing did an excellent job over several visits and we are very pleased with the outcome. Ronald was very knowledgeable and explained in detail what he proposed and recommended. Colin was professional, kind, and thorough. I was prepared to hire same day for services needed. However, when the estimate was complete, I was confused by the way the estimate was presented to me. After I asked many questions, I realized the plumber was trying to show me different levels of service via platinum, silver and regular packages; a quote for just repairs, then an additional fee for a whole house plumbing inspection, and then maybe another yearly payment for emergency services, guarantee for work performed, etc.

It felt sketchy when the plumber explained that he wasn't sure if my estimate would really truly be the only things that needed repaired because if I paid for a whole house inspection he might uncover additional repairs that needed to be done that would be a higher priority than the things that I had called him out for. If you are looking to hire one plumber for all your services and emergencies, and have them on "retainer" this would be a good program for you.

I do expect that any service I purchase comes with some guarantee of service but that was part of the additional platinum/gold/bronze whatever plan that was presented to me, so as I understood it, I had to pay for a guarantee. I did not choose Ray's because of the confusing plans presented and how uncomfortable the interaction made me.

On a Friday afternoon at about 2PM I called Rays Plumbing because an inline valve in my pump house needed replacement as it was leaking. Ron showed up at about 4PM. He completed the job at about 5PM by cutting the pipe, installing a new valve and reconfiguring the pipe using a synthetic pipe. He was professional and the job was completed quickly. The total cost for the 1 hour service, which included a $200 emergency fee, was 737.75.

The going rate for this kind of work may be $476 and hour which is what I was charged but for this old man it was sticker shock. I was told that the work is guaranteed for only 30 days which I did not install a lot of confidence in me.

Ron, the owner, came out and performed a well disinfectant treatment that I needed done. Ron performed this service with his usual expertise, knowledge and workmanship. I have used Ron for the past year now. He has installed a new well tank and well pump; found an underground leak in one of my pipes; installed two new toilets, a shower head and made it more secure; installed two new faucets and repaired a leaking faucet.

I am very pleased with Ron's vast knowledge in performing all these services, especially the well tank and pump & locating the underground leak that was causing a loss of 5 gallons a minute! Ron is a very likeable personality and desires to meet the customer's needs, always giving more than 100% in effort and in skill. I had a concern about an issue along with my sink lever didn't work after Ron used it during the well treatment.

I emailed him of my concern and this issue. He came out within a week to fix the faucet issue and sat down with me to talk about my other concern. We left amicably. Ron took the time to try to understand my concern and how he could perform better in a certain area. This is the kind of guy a person can put their trust in with their plumbing needs.

On Saturday evening after calling all of the plumbers I have used in the past I tried Ray's. Tyler answered the phone on the 2nd ring and was able to drive out to Woodland within 40 minutes. He was very professional and immediately got to work. He even went through the crawl space to fix the leak. He thought we might have to have the water off for our hotel guest's for an hour.

This awesome guy barely took 20 minutes to fix two hot water pipes. He was also nice enough to recommend a drying/restoration company since we had about 5 inches of hot water in our ceiling. To say the least I now have a new plumbing company! Thank you Tyler, Kenda Pollard, GM Lewis River Inn

My water heater went out on a weekend - other places either didn't answer or couldn't come out for 2+ weeks! I called Ray's Plumbing, Ronald answered and his response was "Yes, we can take care of you today!" I was so thankful that I called the next number - I had almost given up. Ronald was responsive, called when he was just a few minutes away and kept me appraised with what was going on and how much longer! Ray's Plumbing is now our "go to" when we have plumbing needs! I can't say enough good things about Ray's! Call them - you'll see what I'm talking about! You won't be disappointed!

They have done work on my rental house, several times, over the years, and it has gone well. We have tree roots that have grown into the sewer drain. They took care of solving the problem quickly and now add a maintenance enzyme annually to deter the growth. They have also taken care of sump pump maintenance issues and finally replacement. The plumbers communicate directly with me, my tenants like their professionalism and they are fairly priced.

Had a outside faucet that broke and was leaking after hours Called Ray's and had a live person answer the phone right away. Impressive as you usually get a answering machine with most companies after hours Anyway after speaking to the rep we were able to just turn off our main water overnight and they had Matt come out the next morning. Thank goodness because when we started looking, yes the faucet was leaking but I had another pipe next to it in the house that was also leaking which could have ended up causing a lot of issues. Matt quickly fixed both problems.

He was very professional, friendly and explained the job well. He ended up looking at a few other items and will be back in 2 weeks to replace our old water heater. Great service. I would highly recommend them. I also like that they are local.

Matt at Rays Plumbing is terrific (Kevin too)! Very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I'm not sure Rays is the cheapest in town, but they definitely are worth every penny as I know the job has been done well. Highly recommended!

My water main developed a leak and Rays Plumbing came out and did an excellent job of fixing it, They were so easy to work with, I called and Ronald answered right away and scheduled a time to come out. I was impressed that the plumber who came out called me before he arrived and let me know he was on the way and when he arrived he explained the best method to repair it so it will never cause problems again. After the water line was repaired he showed me what he had done to ensure it would not happen again and it's been trouble free ever since.

So fantastic! I can't believe how personal they are and care about the end result. Over the top service and quality! I'll use every time I need a plumber.

These guys were great. They showed up on sunday me calling the same day and got my water heater back up and running. Also very informational about the Issues I was having. Honest and polite. I gave 4 stars because I felt the cost was a bit more than I expected. It was 250 for the after hours/weekend visit and that seemed reasonable. But then it was 250 to replace two supply lines to my water heater.

If I had dOne it it would have been 500 (approx 250 each) to replace the holding tank and a bad shutoff valve. To me tHat seemed like too much. So we just replAced the supply lines and decided to wait on the other things since we plan to replace the water heater entirely soon. Also was quoted ballpark 4500-6000 for a tankless water heater including electrical which was also more than I expected. Perhaps my expectations were wrong for the cost of plumbing work? Either way these guys will do high quality work and will be polite and honest. Thanks!

Hello! We contracted Ray's for the plumbing install, rough and finish, at our new restaurant in Uptown Vancouver, and they did an AMAZING job! They were knowledgeable, efficient, responsive, easy to work with, and were masters at problem-solving outside the box whenever necessary. Thank you, Ray's!

I called Ray's last month to schedule a sewer scope (aka sewer lateral inspection). They were able to get me in day after I called. I inquired about price and was told it would be $150 or $175 (I forgot which) and "ya, that's about it." I was in a crunch, competitors charge between $100 and $150 so I figured why not. Tech got to the house we were inspecting on time.

He was polite and professional. Showed him to the clean out and he pulled out his machine. He then pulled out his iPad and said ok, the service call will be $150/$175 and to scope the drain it would be another $445. I told him that wasn't what I was told on the phone. I asked him to honor the price and he wasn't able to. Basically, I ended up turning him away.

The owner did contact me afterwards and asked where the miscommunication was. I explained the whole situation. He responded by saying the $150/$175 was to get them on site and then they would quote for the job from there. Why wasn't I told this on the phone? Also, this is a standard inspection with an easily accessible point to the lateral. He also stated because they were in WA that once they crossed the bridge their prices went up. Anyways, no apology, just curious why I turned his guy away. Ended up going with another company here in Portland, they were able to make it out next day, and showed up and scoped the line for $125.

Called around to find a plumber for an urgent service when our water heater went out suddenly. Not only did they return my call within 15 minutes, they were able to rearrange the technicians schedule to fit us in. The technician was very informative and professional. He even contacted the manufacturer to check on the warranty and the parts were covered.

What fantastic service! Honestly, I was expecting to have a hefty bill and hoped it wouldn't break the bank especially with it being urgent, but they were very reasonably priced and well under what I was expecting.

I just purchased a new house and had a dishwasher installed. When they installed it I noticed that the garbage disposal wouldn't work. I called and spoke to the office, and scheduled an appointment. Matt came over and was amazing! He was able to fix my garbage disposal, and get it up and running. He was prompt polite, and professional. I would call Rays for any plumbing needs I have.

Very professional and prompt service. Had a water leak issue on a Sunday. Came out in just a few hours and capped it. Fixed it the rest of the way the next day. Very good company! No hesitations recommending them.

Who needs plumbing service in the middle of the night at the drop of a hat? I never thought I would, but when I did Ray's was the easiest to get a hold of and buy far the most responsive. Matt picked up the phone, fielded questions well, and got ready to head out promptly. He worked with my landlord directly and was well equipped with what he needed to take credit card payment.

He communicated well and did great work, very professionally and efficiently. They fit the bill for my highest expectations, very glad they are around. I'll be using them in the future and highly recommend their services. Thank you Ray's!

Ray's Plumbing is an exceptional company and Ronald is The Best. Found them thru a Google search. They were easy to contact and schedule. Ronald fixed three kitchen plumbing issues that a previous company was unable to diagnose. He recommended an "in the future" update but did not push to do it now. Very personable and did just the right amount of explaining the situation and what he was doing. Price was reasonable. I am more than pleased and would highly recommend them. If available, I would give them ten stars.
