Born in Norfolk, Virginia, and raised as a Navy brat, Ken has lived all over the country, from Estill, SC, to Hawaii. As a fifth grader, his family settled in Greenville, where he graduated from J.L. Mann High School and worked toward a Cinematography degree at Spartanburg Methodist College. While at SMC, music became his passion, and he became involved in the entertainment industry.

Had a outside faucet pipe break very late Friday afternoon and they sent Keith out and he has it fixed within 15 minutes!. A few days later the thermal expansion tank on the water heater spewed water all over the ceiling! Even though it was really late in the day they sent Keith and Chase out even though they were about 40 min away on their last call and they replaced the tank. I highly recommend them as they really care for their customers and were prompt, professional and courteous! Yes, they made a happy customer!

We called Kens plumbing on New Years Day because our garbage disposal went out and they sent a service tech within an hour! I was amazed at there responsiveness. Our tech Keith was super helpful and fixed our disposal and even checked a couple other items that didn't relate to plumbing just to help us!

Keith came over to look at a leak and he was so informative. Being a younger lady, he was enthusiastic about my questions, explained everything, and broke out the flashlights and the science of what and why it was going on. We even did a toilet paper test with a tupperware! I now know about my tank water levels and how to repair a seal (but will still being calling a professional to do it for me ha). After he left, I ended up checking my other commodes. Not only did I get my leak fixed but I received a beginner course in plumbing. Thanks Keith!

I called Ken's for an issue with a lift pump because they have always provided professional service with other plumbing issues for my previous calls. This technician did not disappoint! He was professional, thorough, and quick with his diagnosis and solutions. This is the kind of service I can expect because over the past 15 years they have consistently provided exceptional service! Their customer support person is just as sweet and helpful as can be as well. I would highly recommend their service!

We set up an appointment with Ken's after a competitor cancelled on us. The office scheduler was extremely friendly and helpful. They were then able to move our appointment earlier than expected. Christian arrived exactly when promised, and was very professional and helpful. The problem was located and Christian offered potential courses of action. Problem was solved at a much lower cost than expected - nearly half what the competitor was going to cost just for the trip charge. We highly recommend this company!

Ken's Plumbing is great! I had several issues that I had been putting off. Vickie was very helpful when I called, and scheduled an appointment right away. Chase came out, and I told him all things that I needed fixed. He repaired all, then did another walk through with me to confirm all was satisfactory. Very nice and polite young man, that knew what he was doing. I will definitely call them with future issues.

We had an emergency with water backing up. Ken's Plumbing was the only plumbing company who actually answer and had a technician who could come that evening. They are truly 24/7. The technician, Keith, made sure to explain what needed to be done and how he would do it. He went above and beyond what was required to make sure he was doing everything possible to fix the problem without doing unnecessary work. If we need anymore work, we will be call Ken's Plumbing.

Often people post complaining about a business. I have to say that is not the case here. From start to finish they were professional and very helpful. I had a water leak under my house. I called Ken's and The quick response from Vicki on the call was phenomenal! She listened to my problem and found an opening to get me help! Chase came the next day and found the leak, explained exactly what he would do as well as the possible outcomes. He gave me the price up front and went to work! He was knowledgeable, professional and personable.
Problem found, fixed at a very reasonable price. and I highly recommend Ken's! I hope I don't have any more plumbing problems but if I do, I know who I am going to call! They made me SMILE and I am one happy customer.

Keith and Chase did a superb job diagnosing and replacing my water heater. They were very professional and educated me along the way. Highly recommend Ken's Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. They are extremely professional, easy to get in touch with, And followed covid guidelines. I would give this a zero rating if possible. This plumbing concern is so overpriced it should be illegal. Recent experience: I waited 5 days to get an appointment for a running toilet, two bathroom faucets to be swapped out. I bought the faucets already. Two young men pull up 15 minutes late. Apparently they are using my appointment as a tutorial.
They quote me: $199 to fix the running toilet, and $267 apiece to swap out the faucets for a total of $733. I terminated the appointment, paid the $49 appointment fee, called a female owned plumbing concern and the jobs were completed the following day for $300. Some concerns deserve a bad reputation and Ken's Plumbing is one of them.

We had Christian, from Ken's Pluming come out to quote a project for us that involved him going into the attic. Christian damaged our ceiling by putting weight on it and causing a nail-pop in the corner of our guest bedroom. It took us a few days to notice the damage as it happened in the corner of a guest room. We scheduled to have Christian and Craig (Supervisor) come back to view the damage.
They had to re-schedule on us and so we moved forward with another contractor completing our project. However, we took a video of the damage from Christian before any work was done by the other contractor so that Christian couldn't claim it wasn't him. https://youtu.be/DoG8xUrji4E When Christian and his supervisor, Craig, came out to look at the damage Christian immediately states he did not even leave the platform, a flat area by the attic door.
Then changed his story and said, "I mean, I didn't go that far over there." They both noticed we had a new gas line installed, and quickly tried to state that the damage could have been from someone else, fair enough, that's why we took the video and informed them that we had proof of damage before anyone else was in the attic. Christian flip-flopped and was put on the spot by Craig to either state he did it or did not do it.
No strong answer came from him and they both left stating they needed to talk with Ken (Owner) and would get back to us. We were informed today (6/17) after reaching back out for an answer, that they will not be fixing the ceiling as they can not be sure they did it or someone else even after the video evidence so I'm sharing this experience, and the video, as a warning that Ken's Plumbing doesn't take responsibility for their tech's actions. https://youtu.be/DoG8xUrji4E

Had leak in my water line several hundred feet from the house. Initially I was unable to find the leak and called Ken's. I talked with Keith and he suggested a leak detection company to locate it before they came out. I lined up the leak detection folks up and in the meantime, water started bubbling up some ways from the house. Keith and Craig came out the next morning.
They precisely located the leak and repaired it. While they were here, I asked them to replace my pressure regulator. They did that promptly. I couldn't be more pleased and will definitely use them in the future. I highly recommend both Keith and Craig for their knowledge, experience, attitude and results!

I strongly recommend NOT using this company. We had a very unfortunate experience with one of their service techs, Jesse who came out several months ago to assess an outside faucet. He said he would get back to us by the end of the week after researching parts availability. 10 days went by - no call back. When we reached out to Vicki at the office she had Jesse call us who apologized and said he forgot and then became defensive in his tone when we asked, "Other than an apology what are the next steps that you can take on our behalf to remedy the situation?" We spoke to Vicki again and asked to speak with the owner to share our concerns and a price adjustment on the work.
She promised that he would call us back in a week. Never heard from him. Just spoke to Vicki again - three weeks later and she said they are booked for the early part of next week and was unwilling to accommodate our schedules or make our request a priority -despite months of unresponsiveness and absence of follow through. They also refused to refund our initial service call fee and said that is a customary fee.
Per Betty, the office manager, "we are not bound to do anything for you as a result of that charge". I am astounded that they continue to use the slogan, "how can we make you smile"! Perhaps beginning with some major customer service training and service excellence mentoring would be a good first step.

Called at 8:00 and scheduled an appointment for 11:00. They called back 45 minutes later and asked if ok to come earlier as they finished up another job. Nice! Keith, the tech, was polite and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what was needed and how things worked. Pricing was reasonable and the service provided was A+

Talk about service! This company is always there when you need them, they are professional plumbers in the Upstate. Been around for a long time, and certainly honest and knows their stuff. You don't wait long for service either. I called them for a clogged drain and they were there within hours. 24/7 one call does it all! Highly recommend Ken's Plumbing.

I received an estimate this morning from Keith at Ken's Plumbing as I requested a quote for the work to be done in my second bathroom in my mobile home. The work was to include a backsplash to the bathtub, installing and hookup of a vanity and toilet and pickup of all materials. My first impression of Keith was that he was very neat, professional and clear in explaining the work that I needed to be done.
Since I am requesting the work to be done in a mobile home and have not been so lucky to find a plumber even the largest plumbing company here in Taylors either did not return my calls or flatly suggested calling a plumber specialist with mobile homes. Over charged for services done. Very expensive for the quality of work. A broken pipe to outside faucet cost me $547 and had to get a contractor to replace my siding. For some reason this app won't let me post the picture that shows the work from a distance. it shows my siding laying on the ground with the insulation.

Here is an update to my prior review of Ken's Plumbing. It took several requests and follow-ups, far too many. But, I eventually got the refund that I was demanding. Rating updated to a 3-star review. My experience with Ken's Plumbing wasn't great, but they did come well-recommended by the realty company I used when I bought my house. You might very well have a better experience with Ken's than I had.
