Full Spectrum Solar provides complete turn-key installation of solar electric systems for businesses, homeowners, public authorities, and community organizations in Madison, Waukesha, and Milwaukee. Burke had recently returned from his position as a lead engineer with one of the largest California solar energy companies.
Full Spectrum Solar specializes in "grid-interactive" solar electric systems. These systems often produce more power than the site uses during the day. This excess energy is fed back into the grid through the electric meter and sold to the utility, resulting in a lower electric bill or even a monthly credit.
Electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids offer exciting new ways to get around using less fossil fuels, but the batteries can take a long time to charge. Fortunately a dedicated high-current EV charging station can recharge a vehicle's batteries in less than half the time a standard wall-socket charger requires.
Adding a battery backup to your solar system provides flexibility, independence, and peace of mind. We were very pleased with our installation of a solar array with Full Spectrum. Several people had recommended them, but we did due diligence and got several bids. They were fair priced, informative, respectful, responsive, and professional. They were able to fit our job in far earlier than expected, which we appreciated. We are still learning how to use the system, but I would gladly recommend Full Spectrum to others.

Full Spectrum Solar installed a truly magnificent solar panel system exceeding my expectations. Many reasons contribute to this outcome; initially I selected the company because all necessary expertise was in-house unlike others that relied on innumerable subcontracts. The project manager and his staff were thoroughly competent: arrived on time, answered questions, installed panels, electrical meters and junction boxes appropriately blending into the landscape respectful of our property.
They were conscientious about keeping the worksite clear of clutter and debris. And the project manager spared me from the headache of dealing with town zoning ordinances and other public officials who were at times seemingly unenthusiastic about solar systems. In sum, I don't believe there is a better company to be found

Hire this team! I could not have more pleased with every aspect of the project, from initiation to completion. The project manager was on top of every detail, in a timely manner. He quickly answered my inquiries and informed me when crews would arrive and what would be accomplished and when. The electricians made my house better and safer, after finding some problems with my electrical system.
The installation crew was great to work with and patiently answered all my questions and showed me how everything works. I was told it would take about two months to get to the installation and 7 weeks later they were at my door, ready to begin. It has been fun monitoring my system online. I am a big booster of Full Spectrum Solar. I honestly cannot think of anything that would have made the experience better. It was first rate. It also was great to be able to buy Dane County Local and install panels made in the USA! Sincere thanks to Full Spectrum Solar!

Customer focused. Competitive prices. Great people. From pre-sales to installation to commissioning, the entire process was smooth. I felt like the focus was on getting the right system for my needs rather than a sales pitch like I got from another bidder. I would recommend Full Spectrum to anyone looking to add renewable energy to their home.

Full Spectrum Solar is an amazing operation! In my profession, I often help families evaluate the costs, and value, of large home projects. One family in particular was interested in a solar system for not only the financial incentives, but to help make our planet a better place. This family called multiple organizations for information and quotes on a solar system.
Most of these companies were out of state and sales people. They talked about their products primarily and reasons to get the largest system possible. After talking with this family, I suggested they reach out to Full Spectrum. The feedback I received was night and day! Full Spectrum has a different mindset and approach. These are engineers, not sales people.
They inspected the electrical system, went into the attic, went on the roof and helped design a system to replace a PORTION of their electricity needs, not all. They don't attempt to sell anything, they let the math and experience do the talking. I will continue to recommend Full Spectrum to anyone who is interested in a solar system as they are good people and are helping make the world a better place.

From the start the project engineer (I worked with Mark W.) and anyone I interacted with were courteous, informative, professional and efficient. The entire process to identify if the site qualified for a system (shade, sun aspect, roof strength, etc.) through to final hook up takes several months and I was satisfied with the entire process. The decision to install a PV system starts with an analysis of current electrical use to size the system appropriately.
We added a complication by asking the project manager to calculate how many PV panels we'd need to add to charge an electric vehicle three times a week. That was added that into the calculations, projections and return on investment analysis. The ROI analysis was easy to understand and, from my perspective, reasonable and realistic. Throughout the process our project manager kept us informed, and walked us through paperwork to get utility rebates and group buy discounts.
We further complicated the process by adding a "time of use" meter and upgrading the line to the street to 200 amp service and Full Spectrum helped coordinate that installation with our utility. They also worked well with the electrician we hired (Prana Electric, see review) to upgrade our house panel to 200 amp service and connect the solar system into the panel. I would hire Full Spectrum again, and highly recommend both the company and it's partner, MadiSun which helps educate and enroll people in solar installations.

Full Spectrum Solar did an excellent job planning and installing solar electric and hot water panels on our new house! They worked very well with us and our builder to make sure everything got done the way we wanted it, and on-time. They were extremely knowledgeable about grants, rebates and incentives available to us and helped us navigate all the paperwork necessary to make the project happen.
I've called a number of times to ask questions, and Burke and his team have always been easy to talk to and taken the time to make sure I completely understand. I feel their prices were reasonable and the quality of their work was excellent. They installed the panels in 2008, and our solar electric and hot water systems are still working perfectly!
