Tyler, the technician, came out for our annual Air Conditioner service - he was really easy to talk to and explained everything. The AC unit is pretty old and he was really helpful / gave us multiple recommendations to get more life out of the unit. Really enjoy working with ESCO and their technicians.

Tyler arrived on time. I was informed via email an texts about technician arrival. Tyler arrived in the time window provided. Tyler is very patient, friendly and professional. Explained everything in detailed and answered lots of questions i had with grace. Great work and I would request Tyler to be sent again in future. The business also was very responsive, i called this morning and they sent their technicians same day.

Bradley was a delight to have work on our system maintenance! He explained a lot of the mechanics within both systems and I was able to get a better understanding. He was very friendly and professional. ESCO has once again proved to be a great company. Thank you! Services: Heating system maintenance, A/C system maintenance

I've had 3 employees from ESCO show up at my house for different things. Bradley, Jimi, and Derek have all been awesome. They have all done great work or provided excellent, accurate information. They are all excellent employees. The scheduling and appointment system of ESCO is my only complaint and point of frustration, but I will still give 5 stars for the employees who have shown up to work on the HVAC at my house

Let's talk about why you shouldn't use ESCO. I owned a home from 2017 - 2019. I signed up for their club because we were trying to fix up that place. It was a disaster from day 1. First, they never charged me for joining the club. In communication with ESCO they have said that I can't find cheaper service elsewhere. My issue isn't finding cheap service, my issue is finding competent service.
If you can't even take my money correctly, how am I going to trust you will do anything else well? I got fed up with ASKING them to take my money, so I canceled. Because I had gotten discounts, then they asked for a lump sum. Technically, I owed that and more, so I payed. My wife and I then went to rent for a bit after selling that house. In 2021 we bought again.
In the move we went back to them to fix a few issues because we knew the name, and we were in Utah County now, so the pool of technicians was smaller. There were also issues with them at this second location. After spending 1000s to get a few issues fixed, some of their work started to leak. I call them out, and they tell me they will be there at a certain time.
That time came and went. Long story short, these guys suddenly show up at 9 pm to fix the issue they called after it had been leaking for 9 hours. To that point, they are always late. For the most recent service, they quoted me 3-5 pm, and they showed up past 6 pm. Not a big deal, except I had to leave at 5:45, so I wasn't even home to discuss the issues I was having.
They talked to my wife, didn't fix a thing, and then charged a fee. Great. In short, I will not be using ESCO again, and I wanted to right this so others would show caution when using them too.

Haven't been able to get service the last 2 yrs since my furniture was installed. Reply to your reply; Yes, I did set up an appointment on May 12th for sometime between 3pm & 5pm and I was here waiting. As it got closer to 5 pm, I realized that the battery on my phone was getting low so I plugged it in. Once 5 pm came and went, I tried calling the number that was in your text and got an answering machine stating to leave a message or select the option for an emergence.
I figured it was your default office number and that it was now after office hours so I wasn't going to be able to talk with anyone. I had been waiting around for over 2 hrs and it was well after 5 now so I didn't think I was going to hear from anyone. I left my phone for just a few minutes and my wife heard my phone ring but couldn't get to it in time.
She brought it to me and told me it had just rang, so I called the number back. Again, I got your answering machine with the same recording as before. This time I selected the emergency option and ended up with the same recording stating to leave a message and someone would get back to me the next business day. I left a message hoping someone would get it and call me.
A few minutes later I received a text message stating the service person tried to call. It to had a phone number also. I called that number and was right back to the same answering machine recording I got the last two times I had called. Very frustrating. I did receive another text 5 days later asking how Rocky did on the service request and I replied back stating that he never showed up.
That's when you said that he had left a message, which I never received. You can send me the recording if you like but I don't know what good that will do. I wonder by I never received a call the next business day after I left my message. This has been very frustrating and I haven't tried to set up another appointment because I haven't figured out another time when I can sit around to a few hours wondering if anyone is going to show up.
I understand you need to set up a window of time because you can't predict delays, but I have things to do too and having a phone number that allows me to talk to a person, especially the person coming to my house would help out a lot. Buy the way, the only other occasion I ever talked to you about coming out was a few months after my equipment was installed and I was told you usually don't come out the first year. I don't remember the exact words but basically the answer was "no". Will consider trying again if I can actually talk to someone when a phone number is sent to me.

Tanner came by to fix our broken pipe in our yard. He was so friendly and professional and did a great job fixing our pup as well as recommended what we could do to prevent it from happening again. He was great and the price was very reasonable. I will use their services again! Service: Plumbing pipe repair

I'm getting bids to get my HVAC replaced and I just had Todd over to my house to inspect everything. While I haven't made a decision about what company I'm going to pick for the install yet, I have to give credit where credit is due. When it comes to professionalism, knowledge, and trust, Todd was amazing. You can tell that he really cares about this stuff and that he has a passion for his company.
He's the kind of guy you don't feel weird letting into your home to do the work. I felt like he did a very thorough job inspecting everything, he took a lot of pictures, and asked all the right questions and it didn't feel like he cut any corners doing the bid. If I end up using ESCO for the install, I'll update this review then, but for now, this review is about Todd and the bid process, which was great.

Two if the nicest guys, Scott and Parker came to fix a drain, repair a tank above the water heater, and fix my toilet. Very professional but so friendly and personable. Knew what they were doing and respectful. Thank you both for taking care of me. ESCO is the best. Services: Toilet repair, Water heater repair, HVAC system maintenance, Drain cleaning

Tyler came to do my annual furnace check up January 20th and he went above and beyond the service I've come to expect from ESCO. He was extremely courteous, professional, and timely. He was considerate in wearing his mask and keeping his distance while in the house. Tyler was also very good at taking the time to explain how my furnace was doing and cleaning one of the parts for me. He is a great asset to your business! Thank you, Jane Priem

I would highly recommend ESCO. They were able to find time in their busy schedule to fit me in the same day. I had a hose spigot hooked to my house that was pouring water out from the freeze bib. Parker and Scott were awesome. They fixed the issue with the spigot within a minute, and they also stayed another hour to move my main water shut off into an accessible place for me inside my house (it was completely inaccessible to me prior). Parker and Scott were very knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful to my house, and they offered solutions for a few other plumbing issues for down the road as well.
I had a different plumbing company come earlier in the day, and they just looked at the hose spigot pouring water out and said they didn't have anything with them to fix it and I'd have to reschedule another time. I'm glad I didn't reschedule with the other company, and that I found ESCO to do the job instead. I feel much more at ease now with my water shut off lever moved. Thank you Scott and Parker! Job well done.

This is the MOST horrible Heating and Air Business in Utah! I have contacted them several times about my issue. However, instead of actually listening to my issue or concern, they THREATENED ME and accused me of lying. I was simply wanting to let ownership and management know of a concern, but was met with aggression and hostility. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Electrician was scheduled to start in the morning to complete a four hour job. However, the electrician didn't show until 2:30 in the afternoon. Then, I had to explain again what electrical work I needed. The electrician worked for about an hour then left and told me they would return between 8 and 8:30 the next morning to finish. Well, they didn't show up until 10:30. ESCO did not communicate with me, and seemed putout that I kept calling to figure out when the electrician would be at my house.
Despite being 5.5 hours late the first day, and 2 hours late the second day, ESCO never apologized and didn't offer any discounts for their untimely arrival to their own self-imposed schedule.

My furnace had not functioned correctly for the past 8 years. During that time I had 3 different shops come out to "repair" it. Within a week of each visit it was back to its old ways. When my furnace finally quit blowing warm air I assumed I was going to be buying a new one. Bradley from ESCO came to my house, went through the whole unit to diagnose the problem and identified a part (that he mentioned he rarely has seen fail) that was defective that had been causing my problems all these years.
He didn't have the part on his truck, and since it was after hours, returned early the next morning to make the repair. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 8 YEARS I HAVE A FURNACE THAT IS FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY. Bradley was knowledgeable, persistent in making sure he diagnosed the true issue of the problem, honest and very fair in what I was charged. This was easily the best service call I have ever experienced at my house for any issue. I'd give him 6 stars if possible.

Jimmy along with Todd we're the trouble shooters. We felt like they were honest and took time to find the problem. They were very informative and willing to take the time ti make the correct recommendations for repairs and replacment where needed. The furnace replace was expensive but Todd worked out discounts where possible. Both were very respectful and informative! Would welcome and recommend their help in the future anytime

He was very professional and was very knowledgeable. He explained everything he did and how it worked so you could make the best informed decision. I would recommend both Randy and ESCO to any friend or neighbor who needs HVAC service. High marks for the company and their employees. The dispatch lady called several times to explain where Randy was due to the tremendous snow storm we had on the 14th of December.
On the last call she said Randy would be there in thirty minutes and he was early. I can tell by the way Randy talked along with the work he performed that he liked his job and what he does. A great employee!

This week had routine Furnace tune-up. Technician was at our house for 2 hours. He wouldn't leave even as my wife explained that she wasn't going to buy the monthly maintenance plan and that she wasn't going to buy a new furnace without speaking to me her husband. Esco had an installation team in the area ready to go with the new furnace.
They wanted to install it right then and there. The technician continued to insist she review the photos of the heat exchanger to ensure she knew the names of the parts that needed to be explained as if she was an incapable third grader. He told my wife she needed to buy the maintenance plan now so he got the credit and not another sales person. He was disrespectful of her time and intelligence.
Not to mention that he was dishonest about the heat exchanger having cracks. By law the furnace must be shut down if cracks are found. The technician did not shut our furnace down, but basically told us it was unsafe to use and carbon monoxide was leaking. The furnace is 8 years old. The next day we had a 2nd opinion and this company actually used a combustion analyzer test and confirmed the heat exchanger was fine.
I allowed the Esco sales person to come give his "pitch" about the furnace. He spent 45 minutes measuring the furnace, telling me how our AC Unit was installed incorrectly and showed me the pictures of our heat exchanger taken by the technician. At the end of the 45 minutes I told the sales person that I didn't see the cracks and he said that we could probably use the furnace for another 5 years, but did we want to take the chance?
The answer: Yes I'll take my chances on a perfectly functioning furnace. Stay far away from Esco. They are on the same level as Time Share sales pitches. They are on the Gephardt approved list, but I would stay away from them. We take carbon monoxide seriously in our house. We have multiple sensors. Esco not only inconvenienced us by taking our time, they also created anxiety over a short term fear of carbon monoxide leaking until we paid an express fee for an honest company to check it out. Not cool Esco.

We called ESCO about a quote for our water heater which needed replacement. Parker and Scott were able to give us a quote and do the replacement that very afternoon. We are very pleased with the workmanship. Parker and Scott also took their time to answer all our questions and explain any operating procedures we might need to know. Over all a very pleasant experience.

I was very excited to finally have an outside outlet, that i failed to comprehend the type that was installed! I can't use one plug without exposing the other plug to the elements. Not good. A good outlet has a cover for each individual plug in. This one does not! So now I have to go buy the correct one and replace the one installed . I was going to use the monthly membership, but will not now. So cancel it plz.

Although he did get here on time. He wasted no time being offensive. He compared my thermostat to a dinosaur. Then inspected my heater and A/C unit. He said there's nothing he can do with the A/C unit. It's shot but we can sell you a new one. No thank you. I had another guy come out. He replaced the Dual capacitor and it works like a dream. I'm a little tired of repairmen trying to take advantage of older people.

ESCO rooted out our drain and it seemed ok, until the first flush of a toilet, then it was backup up. I called them back and they said I needed a $1700 hydro flush. Called another company and they rooted the drain out again. The second company filled up the drain while they rooted and watched for the drain to clear. ESCO did not do this. The other company also ran the water down the drain for 15 minutes before they left. The other company gave me a one month guarantee, where ESCO seemed to give me the upsell and brush off. Wouldn't recommend ESCO

As an ESCO club member I have recommended them to family and friends/neighbors for years. Not now! When I paid for my yearly membership last spring to cover A.C., heating, electrical, and plumbing they had increased the price (which they'd told me in the past would not happen since my membership had covered such a long time). Because I value keeping the four services up to date, their increased price was paid.
Today when I called to schedule service they told me electrical and plumbing were no longer included! They had not told me that when I paid for the year's membership in the spring. I believe that practice is dishonest and unfair. Had that information been given, the membership would not have been paid. As an added note, like the other reviewer, my experience has been frequent last minute cancellations.

We scheduled an A/C and heater tune-up at our newly purchased house. The technician was nice to clean out the A/C unit with mud that had built up and did a lot of inspecting. However, they told us there were a lot of dangerous problems and that we needed to replace the whole system. They used a lot of technical words we didn't understand. We had someone else come look at it and it was fine, so they were just trying to scare us into buying a new unit. We also realized they neglected to put the air filter back in.

Initially had a good experience with the furnace system installation and maintenance. Had an appointment this week for maintenance. They called the day before to move the appointment window back 2 hours. I had to take the day off in order to be there. Then they called the day of service to tell me that they had an emergency and needed to reschedule. Soonest appointment was a month later!
I asked to speak with a manager but was told they were too busy. Still haven't heard back from them. I understand emergencies, but based on others reviews, this happens quite frequently. I guess their managers can't be bothered with paying customers' concerns. I'm embarrassed to have referred friends to ESCO.

I had ESCO inspect my AC unit after it stopped working. The inspector was great and he sold me on the Priority Club membership, which he told me I could cancel anytime at no cost. After determining my AC unit needed to be replaced I had someone from their sales team come to give me a quote. The sales agent looked at the AC unit for less than a minute and then gave me a quote without inspecting the HVAC system to determine it's needs (he also didn't ask about the number or placement of registers/vents throughout the house).
Upon suspecting the quote was high, I received 3 other quotes. The sales teams from the other companies each spent over an hour thoroughly inspecting the HVAC system prior to giving me a quote for a system tailored to my home and needs. These quotes were thousands less (and in one case less than half the cost) than what ESCO quoted me. From the poor experience with ESCO's sales team and from not choosing them to replace my system, I called to cancel my Priority Club membership the first week of October.
The lady I chatted with told me the membership was cancelled and I wouldn't be charged again. On October 18th I was charged again for the membership and I contacted them via their ticket system on their website requesting the cancellation and refund. After not hearing back for 2-3 weeks I just called again today and was told the membership is a one-year contract and it'd cost $40 to cancel. ESCO seems to be employing bait-and-switch tactics while also providing less than stellar sales experiences with abnormally high price tags.

Great service! They called about an hour early; because they were ahead of schedule; to see if I would like them to come earlier, and that was nice because I did want them to come earlier! They were in and out in less than 30 minutes for cleaning my kitchen sink drain. No issues and they had some helpful tips to keep the drain lasting longer that I'll work on implementing.

I do not recommend ESCO. --Water heater needs to be replaced. Called Friday at 4pm., told someone would be there by 6. Got a call about 7pm, can't be there til 8. Then got a call they can't make it. A new appointment set for Saturday. 3pm. -3:30 came got a call, will be there in 10 minutes, 40 minutes later he showed up, of course too late for any parts to be accrued. Memorial weekend, I understood.
Then was told 9-9:30am on Tuesday. Took the day off work for this. No show. No call. Got the runaround the rest of the morning. I finally decided to go with a different, more professional company, Superior Heating and Air. I am now happy. I have more to say badly about ESCO Plumbing and Air, but am bored. Please choose wisely.

We hired them to service our Norris tankless water heaters. We also signed up for the yearly service program. After spending $1,000's of dollars and still having issues. Not to mention that EVERY time we scheduled an appt they cancelled or didn't even show up! My husband decided to google the Maintinance program for the units, FINALLY my husband was able to find the problem we had for 3 years now that no one could find.
All the problem was. the filters needed to be replaced. I would tho k that would be the FIRST thing they should check while maintaining the service on our heaters. They are a complete waste of time and money!

Had Esco come give me a bid to rerun a water line to ice maker. While tech was estimating the water line, his buddy proceeded to start draining my water heater. I told him my water heater was new (10 months) and didn't need it. But he proceeded to start draining it. Why? I didn't ask for him to do that! Made me nervous he was going to screw up my water heater to create a service call. Meanwhile, tech gave me an estimate of $1000 to run water line.
I ask how many hours are you estimating? Couldn't answer. "We can't do it for less." It couldn't have been more than a 1-2 hour job. $100 an hour wouldn't get you to a $1000. His buddy then claimed there was calcium that drained out of the water heater. Really? I've got a water softener. I really felt they were out to soak me.

Look elsewhere! Had Esco out for an A/C tuneup. Was told I need to replace my A/C and Furnace immediately. They quoted me $14500 for a Coleman unit. I decided to get a second and 3rd opinion and paid esco $100 for the tuneup. They "Accidentally" charged my card an extra $885. It's now been over 2 weeks and each of the 3 times I've called I've been told it was processing.
It does not take 3 weeks to process a credit card return. On top of that, I got my 2nd and 3rd opinions. Both other companies quoted me for better name brand units and were literally half the cost. That's right, HALF of the cost Esco was trying to charge me. Unbelievable!

Initially I was impressed with this company due to the quick reply on my inquiry on line and the professionalism displayed when the guy came out to do my bid. I thought the bid price was high, but agreed. I needed my electric dryer hookup changed to a gas hook up. The bid price was $1250. When the technicians came out to do the work, I signed the agreement for the bid.
After about 15 minutes, the technician came to me and told me there was a miscommunication and that it would now cost me around $1,900. He insisted that there was a miscommunication, there wasn't a miscommunication, they knew when they came to do the bid what I needed done. The guy who initially did the bid, did the bid incorrectly. Needless to say, they wouldn't honor the original bid quote and I refused the service.
The technician that was at the house was friendly and professional. The one star is for the company and the increase in pricing after I was already given a bid. This wasted my time to be home for the bid and then again for the work that was going to be done. I won't recommend this company because I felt it was a bait-and-switch.

If you choose to work with ESCO, be diligent in monitoring their work and if they tell you that you have a problem that would cost a lot to repair, get a second opinion! ESCO did several things for my home over the period of about a year and a half. My experience with the company was mostly negative. I needed a refund for the faulty installation of some light dimmers and I had to call several times to demand that they send the refund, which ultimately came about 2 months after the refund was initially requested.
For another project in the house, they charged for something they didn't do. That was in the early fall of 2018. We have not yet seen the refund check and it's now December 2018. Also, because I had so much work to do in the house I became an ESCO member, which involves getting complimentary plumbing, electrical, and furnace checks. I've learned that those complimentary checks are all about trying to get you to spend $10,000 or more to fix a problem that doesn't really exist. (For example, they said that the pipes under my house were bent and could fail at any minute. Fixing the pipes could have ended up costing many of thousands of dollars. I called a couple of trusted plumbing experts to ask for a second and third opinion and they both said that there was nothing wrong with the pipes.)

Got an appointment scheduled for a drain cleaning and took the day off work to be home for their 3 hour window. They called an hour before they were supposed to arrive and said they had something come up and wouldn't be able to make it. I don't do business with people who don't value my time and they clearly don't.

Esco sucks and blows! DO NOT use them. They do half ass work. Then when it needs fixed under warranty they don't cover it! This is their second offense, so shame on me for giving them another chance. Use KC heating and air. They fixed the problem Esco created for great price. Wish I could do 0 stars.

Came out to help me on a moments notice, and really went the extra mile for me. I can't say if their prices are competitive, I'm sure that there are other companies that charge less. BUT, I've come to realize that having people show up when they say they will and act with professionalism is worth it's weight in gold. Shout out to Jens and Scott who made sure I was taken care of! (And to Robby, who I accosted in a McDonald's parking lot, begging for someone to come to my house and help me. )

Poor service with this company. We had a groupon for a AC tune up. I made an appointment two weeks ago to schedule. They called Friday to confirm my appointment on Monday. On Monday morning at 8am (appointment is between 9-11am) I get a call saying they have to cancel my appointment and reschedule. My reschedule date is 2 weeks from now. A whole month until my scheduled appointment.
I understand others ACs have gone out now that it's hot, but I am a customer too and I had an appointment and a call to confirm my appointment. To cancel 50 minutes before my scheduled appointment is extremely frustrating. This is a terrible first impression and they haven't even started the service yet.

This is one of the worst companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We bought a furnace and air conditioning unit and had them install it. We bought their full "parts and labor warranty". When I called them because our furnace was broken to my amazement they said there's a $100+ charges to diagnose the problem. I specifically paid for a warranty that covered all labor and parts related to the furnace and I knew the motor was dead.
They eventually relented only because I told them id complain to BBB. I recently bought an air conditioning tune up service and when the technician came out he said "it's actually just an inspection" the tune up costs extra. By extra is was $150 to vacuum dust from the blower. When I said it clearly says inspection and TUNE UP" he basically said I know it's misleading! STAY AWAY - unfortunately I'm stuck with them
