My water tank burst early on a Saturday morning. I had surgery scheduled for Monday. Helder and John had to work all afternoon to install a new one. Both gentlemen were skilled, courteous and kind. I recommend them highly

Critical: Responsiveness They used to be the best I thought. Now you wait weeks and they don't call and they don't show up either. It is definitely not the same anymore.

Installed our fireplace logs. Hooked them up to our propane outside. They made sure everything worked including our remote control on the fireplace. We did not know that they sold fireplace logs at their office or we would have bought from them. We have used them before and have been very pleased with their service. Keep up the good work!

Very good service. Afternoon crowd older set like ourselves so easy to just hang out catch some sports on the great number of TVs. Wings were pretty standard fair but burgers were the bomb! Totally excellent! Owner told us about his new project coming to beach road. If it's as good as this place will be success!

Called (on a Thursday morning first thing) as I had a leak under my house. Couldn't get to me until Tuesday the next week. Before this I thought plumbers always had room for emergency calls.

I don't know how TR Johnson could possibly get a bad rating. We've used them for at least 40 years with the best quality, most reliable service you could find.

T. R. Johnson & Son have been my plumbers since I moved here 23 years ago. They respond to my calls very quickly and they send pleasant, very efficient workers who know what they're doing. They're a great company, and I highly recommend them.

Hot water tank went out. They came same day installed new unit and took time to help with another issue once they were here. Couldn't be happier. Professional service and pleasant.

They're really expensive. Charge you for travel time even though I only live 1/2 mile away. Clogged sewer line required an auger. They charge you for the use of their tools. Said that the line needed "dug up", so the two of them dug a hole in my yard. No sewer line anywhere to be found. Charged me $750 to dig a hole. Typical of the service in this town.

Shame on me. I no longer live in the Tri State but trying to find dependable licensed contractors with even the first review is difficult. I took a chance and hired TR Johnson hoping for some professionalism and knowledge in a sewer issue we had at my parents home. A few tidbits of advice for others that I wish they'd disclosed. 1- you the customer pay for their travel time at whatever hourly wage they choose to charge.

Also when I google mapped directions it was a 15min drive time Vs the 30min they wanted to charge me 2- if you have a sewer "smell" issue they will ALWAYS send two men for the job but don't disclose that until after the fact. When quoted prices they give you a 1 man quote with a big IF factor attached about 2nd man. In turn when the two reps arrive i tried to point them in the direction of the "strong smell".

Instead they piddled with leaky pipes in basement & changed a commode seal that was not in disrepair. After 1.5 hours they came upstairs explaining it was 4pm (quitting time) and they had to leave or we'd be charged double. They didn't offer a solution until I confronted them of the issue still existing and they said they could come back to do a "smoke" test (another time).

I feel a smoke test was in order from the moment they walked in the house. The visual observation could have been completed within minutes IMO. Also when I asked about the handheld gas gauge tester I was told they don't work that well. When I called to schedule the appointment, I confirmed they had the camera technology as well.none of which was pulled out or used.

Seriously the sewer is so strong in the basement it didn't take a gauge to identify the general location of the smell.gauges, smoke test or cameras need used. Not a visual eye test for 1.5 hours. At any rate, I wanted to pay for services rendered but did want to discuss these discrepancies. As usual with contractors they don't want to reason or show any customer service but simply avoid the issue and write you off.

The lady continually interrupted me as I tried to explain and reason with her to find a compromise or solution, as I did want them to come back next week for the smoke test but wanted to receive good communication of cost etc. she demanded TR JOHNSON always discloses the travel pay and 2man policy and then asked me if I was going to pay her or not.

When I told her if she was refusing to listen or reason then no. She immediately wanted to write it off and "never service us again".which I had never asked her to waive all fees and most definitely needed her to come back next week. At any rate, I'll continue to search for a plumber who has some customer service and disclosure skills. Shame on me for going with the only plumber in huntington with a fascinating 2.5star review!

This was a terrible experience. They charged me twice the amount they led me to believe it was going to be on the phone and then I noticed a few days later that the plumbing was still leaking. So they over charged me and didn't even fix the problem.

TR Johnson has fixed a leak in our home was quick to respond. We highly recommended TR Johnson.

Quite unprofessional. I was referred to them by the manufacturer of my tankless water heater as being the only approved service provider in this area. The plumber responded quickly enough, came out and looked at the water heater (literally looked at it without doing anything), called the manufacturer, and then told me he'd have to reschedule to come out and do the work.

He told me that someone would call me. As the heater was only occasionally failing, I felt that was fine. A week later, I called for an appointment, and was told that he'd get back to me. Two weeks later, the heater failed, and I called my usual reliable plumber to replace the unit. The original plumber left his tool belt behind, so I called to let them know that he could come pick it up.

I expressed my disappointment that no one ever called me back, but the lady I talked to was very unconcerned. I felt like she couldn't hang up on me fast enough. This was my first interaction with this company, and will unfortunately be my last.

The rudest and most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I will never use them again and will make sure nobody I know does either! I would give negative stars if I could. What kind of company can't give an estimated time of arrival and then doesn't even show up that day?!?! The people in the office couldn't be more rude if they tried!

Buyer beware! They have repaired a small leak under our sink three times and now refuse to fix it unless we pay COD. This business has deterioated badly over the past few years.

Run from this company.fast and far! I was billed far more than I was quoted for a plumbing job, and when I questioned the bill, they were very rude and told me the bill was final. Also the plumbing leaked and I called and reported it. I was told the plumber would call me back, but he never did. That was three weeks ago. I'll never use this company again, and I would suggest that you do the same.

STAY AWAY!OVERPRICED, RUDE. This winter we had a pipe burst causing water to spew into our garage and house. In a panic we called TR Johnson. The receptionist let us know they would get to us when they could. They showed up 45 minutes later and repaired the pipe in less than 10 minutes. After they were finished, the technician let us know we needed to cut him a check for a standard $120 charge and they office would settle up later and would most likely issue us a credit.

A few days later we received an invoice for additional charges including a copper pipe charge, fuel surcharge, pipe fitting charge, travel charge, and a 10% finance charge. When I called to inquire about the additional charges the receptionist let me know they were not going to discuss the charges with me and "at least we showed up". Stay away from this company.

Horrible. Do not use if u have any other choice. In process of putting gas line in, they broke a drainage tile and water line. That we had to pay for. Ridiculous cost. They take advantage of others.

We have a business that sells equipment for the disabled. Two out of three bathrooms in our facility and one of two in the section we rent to another business were backed up. TR Johnson came. They disabled all three bathrooms INCLUDING our handicap accessible one (again, our business caters to the disabled community) and then jackhammered holes in the concrete inside our building and in our parking lot and removed a wheelchair ramp in the process.

They then left and we heard nothing from them for two weeks. When I called most recently I was told that 'Mr Johnson is out until Monday and I really can't help you until then.' I told her to let Mr. Johnson know not to worry about it, that we'd hire a competent company instead. All she said was 'OK' and then hung up. STAY AWAY from this company if you ever want your plumbing to work again.

A good, trustworthy -plumber. They might cost a little more than some, but you get prompt service in a plumbing emergency- which these old southside houses have. Remodeling is good but more of a 4 than a 5. They were slow to reply.

I did a bunch of work with TR Johnson plumbing while I lived in Huntington. They do good work, where usually pretty timely in getting back with me. The price may have been a little higher than I would have liked at times but you new what you where getting with them so it was worth paying more for the trust you knew they would help you if you needed it.
